dudclub55
Can we all talk about Ubisoft's open world formula? All it does is make their VERY beautiful open worlds feel extremely drab, dead and depressing. Oh yeah, dawg, just synchronize this part of the map to reveal ALL the side missions in that area, instead of, iunno, LOOK for them? There's no exploration encouraged, because you KNOW the only things to do and collectibles to find are on your map at all times. Good luck looking for all collectables in AC4 and AC Rogue without reveal. I put significant amount of time collecting them WITH a map. Maybe there doesn't have to be 1 billion collectibles per section of the map? It turned me off from buying Rogue while it was on sale tbh.

Why go out and explore the open world when you can just sync and reveal all 2000 instances of the same activity? V didn't have that at all, you can argue that the map wasn't used enough, but I'll take quality side content over an asinine number of collectibles and samey samey activities with no interesting backstory to keep you on board. Algonquin Assassin
Naughty Dog games are extremely overrated. Agreed. Could never get into the Unchartered games and The Last Of Us was hyped to ridiculous levels, but haven't had any incentive to play it again. DoctorStar
Quantic Dream tries to combine movies and video games but it fails so miserably. Quantic Dream is very overrated as well. Edited March 26, 2016 by DoctorStar
Misunderstood
I think the Crash and Jak series get the love they deserve. Jak is one of my favorite series tho . But Uncharted is overrated as f*ck. I have no idea how the Uncharted games get such good scores. Everything in the game is just average. Jerking For Soup
Richard Power Colt
I haven't really played the Uncharted games, but the one thing those games seem to excel at is scripted spectacle. That's nice and all, but I would rather see them go back to making 3D platformers since it's nearly a dead genre these days. I'm not really excited for Yooka Laylee though, it's more in the style of N64 games where as I'd want something more similar to PS2-era platformers in terms of characters and tone. Fireman
What? Uncharted is far superior to the Tomb Raider reboot, the storyline is better, the dialogues and characters are more entertaining and the gameplay is basically equal. But I guess that's why this is the unpopular gaming opinions topic eh. The Dedito Gae

But I guess that's why this is the unpopular gaming opinions topic eh. Uncharted is pretty equal to the reboot but in my opinion, Tomb Raider looks better and is smoother. The storylines in both are pretty sh*t, dialogue is hit or miss and characters are for the most part, pretty plain.
Th3MaN1
I can't even be bothered in touching a FF game. I can relate to this to no end. The only one I almost finished was Final Fantasy 4 on an emulator, but the rom itself was f*cked, cause I over-leveled myself to no end and I still couldn't beat the final boss. All that, after following a walkthrough on Youtube exactly step-by-step. It's not fun at all when you put in about 80+ hours in a game only to be shut down by some bullsh*t. I guess some of the fault is mine for using some rom I downloaded on the internet, but it's very rare that rom's are busted, and most of them show their faults at the beginning of the game, not at the exact last boss. Nevertheless, that made me not touch another Final Fantasy again. And even though FF-15 has me somewhat intrigued, I'm sure that by the time it releases I won't give much of a sh*t about it. Goldn-Bayse
I liked Jak and Daxter (Jak 1) more than 2 and 3. Don't get me wrong they're great games but I just preferred the simplicity of the first game. Richard Power Colt
Keano
Watch Dogs was one of the worst games I ever played. Failed on all of its promises. Never noticed the graphics downgrade unlike a lot of people but the story has little base, a bad soundtrack and there was just a feeling of constant emptiness in the characters and the city of Chicago. Most disappointing game IMO as I waited so long for it. Think that's a popular enough opinion but most times I say this, I get looked at like I have 3 heads lol

Th3MaN1
it's a cringy ass wannabe horror game. Far from it. Your statement proves that you never even touched the game, and more likely have no clue what it's about. I can agree with you on the fanbase part, and I can also understand your dislike towards the game, but "cringy ass wannabe horror" is definitely not what Undertale is. 018361
I don't think that the main protagonist dying at the end of the story makes a good game. Example Game: Bioshock: Infinite Wastelander (Suzuki) and Hybrid_Punk
HaythamKenway
I don't think that the main protagonist dying at the end of the story makes a good game. Example Game: Bioshock: Infinite The biggest problem with this is that the writers treat death as just another stupid trick up their sleeve, instead of the meaningful event it is supposed to be. The protagonist's death has to be "earned", the entire game has to build up to it. If you just throw it in there at the last second for a TWEEEST and cheap emotions, then you've already lost. Unfortunately, that's what most protagonist deaths in video games are. Hybrid_Punk and 018361
