Never played a DMC game before, but man this looks like so much fun:

I think I've gotta play some of the previous games before this one comes out.

I have the releases of TECMO for the Xbox.  Fun stuff.  I also p,at tons of 10 Yard fight a quarter at a time on my arcade boxes.  :)

Sierra Online(later branded Dynamix) made the best computer football game ever.  FrontPage Sports Football.

You got to make your own plays and draw the routs how you wanted and the receivers would totally follow the route.  You could make some crazy ass trick and option plays.

The SIM part was great.  Not only did you play every play with serious action, but you also had to manage everything down to your french fry stock levels and how much salt per serving.

Their last release was so broken they had to offer a full refund after they tried and tried and couldn't patch it

I've played something like that before on PC as I like those managment type games my favorite is Airport Tycoon, Sadly there aren't any games like that out right now there are a few "Football" aka Soccer Managers but none for American Football.

I personally would love for them to add something like that to Madden but make it a separate side game or something to where Online players can pit their manmade teams and plays against each other so it's not unfair having a Pro team and playbook against a bunch of rookies but also make it skill matched as well.

That was one thing I didn't like about Madden on console I never got skilled matched with someone at my own skill level I always got paired with someone who had like 100 wins and 30 losses against me who only had like 5 win and 3 losses wasn't really fair.

We seem to be in the era of western's again. There's a new western game called "Desperados". It looks pretty cool. Granted, not as cool as RDR2 but still cool.

I myself like Western themed games, Last one I played was Call Of Juarez: Gunslinger it was quite fun even with the arcadey feel to it and very positive reviews on Steam with 12.000 Postive Reviews and only 600 Negative reviews with most of them bitching about this game being "relaunched" on Steam when it used to be a UPlay Exclusive game and not actually reviewing the game itself so if the 12,000 + positive reviews don't tell you that this is a game worth buying then I don't know what would.

_____

There is another one called Call Of Juarez: Bound In Blood I personally haven't played it as I just found it today while getting the link to the Gunslinger one but it is older from 2009 while Gunslinger is from 2013 but nevertheless just as good on the positive reviews overwhelm the negative ones.

No BSG Annual, it is (was) a speedrunning marathon, hosted on ESA's channel. I had to run Millennium Racer while commentating.

The run went alright, some people enjoyed the game and that's good enough for me. I managed to show off one good lap each track, so I'm fine with that.

The Jak games, especially 2, are very challenging. You end most timed missions with 1 or 2 seconds remaining. They can be tough, sometimes even unreasonably hard.

I've played the first one but not the second one. Everyone recommended the third on another forum so I'm about to start it.

Basically the best GTA speedrunner (Anti_) got caught cheating (e.g. modifying vehicle handling data) and he's now permanently banned from speedrunning.

Yeah Anti got banned for tire smoke. Tire smoke only shows up when your vehicles have acceleration above a certain threshold, which default vehicles don't have.

I think he would've still had WR legitimately, so I hope he continues, even without the support of the community.

Each game has a seperate community, as not all runners run all of the GTA's.

So  first you have to think about which game you want to speedrun, then which category and then join the discords they use (which you can usually find on the forums of speedrun.com of that specific game).

Trying to avoid all the RDR2 hype can be mildly testing at times. I vowed not to watch any previews or speculation topics or topics where people dissect every little minute detail. I want RDR2 to feel new to me and to feel like every detail is a surprise. Those on the hype-train, picking it all part won't be disappointed but they're spoiling some of the surprises for themselves. I popped my head into the forum and there are all these appreciation threads for characters.. OK. that's cool, the hype train is nice sometimes but there are almost no surprises left when you actually get the game.

I tend to avoid hype trains nowadays too. Just makes the wait for the game harder to bear.

You know what? That's so true. I haven't been dying for RDR2 to come out. I mean I'm looking forward to it but I'm not going crazy for it.

Doctor Holliday

Most negative reviews (of any game) seem to come from excess hype and unrealistic expectations.

I'm obviously looking forward to Red Dead 2 - it's why I joined the forum - but given the way that Rockstar has treated Grand Theft Auto V, I'm going to reserve a healthy amount of paranoia at the same time. During the days when we were transitioning from GTA IV to GTA V, I would have assumed that Rockstar could do no wrong, and obviously they did an amazing job getting everything off the ground. But they couldn't stick the landing and I never could have foreseen the terrible ways that they were going to screw it up. Back in 2013 I never would've imagined that Rockstar would be the ones leading the fight against their own players and tearing down the modding community that helped to make their products such legends to begin with. The staying power of Multi Theft Auto and San Andreas is testament to this fact. The greatest disappointment is seeing the wasted potential being left on the table with GTA V and hearing the news that Red Dead Online will likely follow in the exact same model.

I can't wait to sink into RDR 2's new world. I'll be there on release date. I'm sure it'll provide 100+ hours of pastime. But I'm still worried for it's long-term prospects. I'm still worried that the end-game amounts to a glorified battle-royale sandbox where we're encouraged to do little more than rob banks or stagecoaches or raid other gang hideouts inbetween dodging rampant hackers who will invariably trash public lobbies without punishment

Prove me wrong!

Maybe Red Dead 2 will find its way to PC where we can finally take advantage of its true potential. Maybe it will be available to a creative and open-ended community of original content created by and for the people who actually play it. Maybe they'll continue releasing robust singleplayer / cooperative DLC which builds on the story and characters instead of trickling out small, incremental, multiplayer updates. Maybe...

But RDR2 can turn off HUD and have minimalistic HUD too.

So woooow. I'm so impreeeessed. Totally some headline stuff never done before. Not to mention the shrinking horse ball sack. Boy.

Trying to find an old game I used to play on Sega I think it was.

You were an Apache helicopter pilot and you had to go around and destroy a bunch of bad guy hideouts by blowing up houses and such and then at the end of the first level you had to escort the President back to the white house and destory the attack vehicles that tried to attack the motorcade route.

I like that Sony is finally hopping onto the crossplay train Microsoft and Nintendo have been riding for awhile...

Hopefully this means that more games other than just Minecraft, Fortnite, and Rocket League can get crossplay! Especially in these days of SP games being a rare breed

I really forgot that there's really great OST in Metro 2033/LL and F:NV. While passing these both i missed like 85% of the music.
Been listening to it all week long.

It's official; Steam forums (and Steam's games that have their own forums) are the most hostile and toxic places there is. Not only will users piss all over you just to ruin your mood whether you're right or wrong, but it seems moderators are completely and utterly understaffed, and they hardly ever monitor whatever's going on unless they feel like it. Otherwise, they hardly take their job seriously and only bans trolls whenever they want to. And one of those even has an audacity to call me a troll? Get real.

Ever since the whole "No VR, no buy" sh*tshow emerged, particularly in DiRT Rally 2.0, it seems the user-base has reached a new low, especially with reports often being left ignored, and Steam Moderators utterly refused to be bothered in even the most crucial moments. I swear, if I had the power to completely empty my past posts, then it'll look as if I never made any posts, whether good or bad, at all. Hell, if Steam were to be more strict like Blizzard who regularly deals with trolls and cheaters, Steam would've been a much more friendly place to go to. Instead, it's a hostile territory where actual trolls can cause trouble and get away with it unpunished. It's stupid.

Have any of you bought one of those Retro Gaming Consoles/Handhelds that have like 800 classic games from NES/SENS/PS1/PS2 ect

Anbernic Retro Game Console, Entertainment System HD Video Game Console 32GB 800 Classic Games 4K HDMI TV Output with 2PCS Joystick

If so what was your experience do you like it? Is the game graphic quality decent enough or is it really stretched on a TV Screen?

Do you have the console or the handheld?

I am thinking of getting the console for myself and the handheld one for my nephew for christmas

I don't usually "watch" these kinds of youtube videos because they're toxic but I'll admit this one was good.

It kept popping up on my feed despite me not watching those type of videos so I figured it must be a good one if it keeps making it to the top of the list.

I wasn't disappointed.

But here is the thing tho, Some of these games don't have a website with their own forum instead the only forum is on steam so that is the only place you can do to discuss the game, make suggestions, report bugs and in some games, god forbid ask for help.

I went to one forum asking for help with a game and instead of getting help all the replies were trolls such as "Git gud m8" "You must suck at this game" "Go play paw patrol if you can't figure it out" the issue turns out to be a known bug with a simple fix but instead of telling me that they just piled on it was finally someone who wasn't a complete ass to give me a serious answer which took him all but maybe 2 minutes to write.

Same, I don't normally watch them too but I guess the title tickled my schadenfreude.

I'm so proud of myself not spoiling any RDR2 by looking at reviews or speculation articles/threads so far bar a few details. I didn't even watch the most recent trailer and I haven't watched the other trailers much.

I originally was going to not buy the game if microtransactions were going to be a thing. Scrap that. One of the details I did hear is that the story is going to be big and the game itself is over a 100gb or something? Not sure if it's true. If the SP is that meaty, I'm in. I'm craving a big story in a game right now. Last big story I played was probably last year playing Skyrim SE.
