Hey guys. Just purchased RE7 and popped it in my Ps4. Got a message saying I need to update system to 4.05 or later. Why wasn't the firmware included on disc. Think I need to return the game as PS4 is not connected to internet. I could purchase another game in hopes of a firmware being on that disc. Never had any message like this before. My system is currently at 4.0.

Could something be wrong with the disc?

Thanks.

I think there was a way to update your console using a PC. Download the update, put it on USB and update the console.

Here you go:

https://www.playstation.com/en-au/get-help/ps4-system-software/

But to answer your question, there's nothing wrong with the dics. It doesn't include the update file.

Spent all my resources and money on these 2 tracks. Well, they work well, but man... 5000+ Power Score? Okay, time to enjoy balanced 5k PS gameplay with a bunch of 2nd most weakest machineguns.

Hi, would it be too much trouble for you to check if this game has the option to disable all those annoying interactive button prompts that plague modern games? I want to be able to play completely HUDless with no prompts or notifications for taking items or opening doors, drawers etc.

Thanks in advance.

Something I want to get off my chest and would be interested in hearing others' views on. That is 'gameplay' trailers that feature footage that is clearly not gameplay.

I first fell for this con with the 'gameplay' trailer for Killzone 3 (or was it 2?) and I'm now seeing the exact same thing happen with Metro: Exodus.

Compare these two trailers, if you would. The first features (what I have no reason to doubt) actual gameplay. The second, released as a teaser several months ago is also gameplay, if the video title is to be believed.

Notice the 'pre-rendered' way the character looks around in the second video. How he places a hand on the scaffold when ducking under the obstruction, how accurately he takes the ammo from the skeleton in the train, and the arrow from the dead beast, by placing a foot on its head to gain purchase.

Maybe there's some official definition of 'gameplay' which works as a disclaimer, allowing developers to get away with stuff like this, but I still find it irritating.

I got a problem that I can’t figure out. I’m on PS4 and I can’t hear game chat. My mic works and I can talk in party chat, but I can’t talk to anyone in game chat. It’s not specific to a single game. All my games don’t let me hear game chat. I don’t have the slightest clue where to change this setting or how to fix it if it’s a bug. Help me please!

I’ve dipped my toe into streaming on Mixer.  Played The Long Dark for about a half hour.  Which means there’s about 30 seconds of action.  Didn’t get any viewers.  Might stream more, just for the f*ck of it, and I’m addicted to this game again.  Currently on day 100 of survival mode.

Just recently picked up the Jak and Daxter trilogy and Just Cause 2 complete edition for my PS3 for less than $10 thanks to the 70% off flash sale in the PS Store. I never played Just Cause before so I felt like it was time that I do. I've owned Jak and Daxter II on my PS2 many years ago when I was in my pre-teens but I have never played the first one and I have little memory of that series in general. Last thing that I can remember is not being able to beat a boss. I'm sure I can beat those games now that I'm an adult. I haven't started playing J&D yet but I'm going to very soon.

The Jak games, especially 2, are very challenging. You end most timed missions with 1 or 2 seconds remaining. They can be tough, sometimes even unreasonably hard.

I joined the console world when Madden stopped being released on PC.  True story.

I can't remember the last number but it would have been the one after GTA IV got it's PC release.  2007/2008 maybe?  Madden always existed on PC before then.  The first iteration was crazy...a football game where you use the mouse to play?  It sucked...i continued to play Frontage Sports Football during that first Madden release.

Really? I was under the impression that Madden had been a Console Only game and was never released on PC but then again It's only been three years since I switched from console to PC being my main gaming platform

After doing a little bit of research it says Madden has only been released on PC 3 times in franchise history it looks like 99', 08' and 19' are the only time Madden has been released on PC.

Quote

For just the third time in franchise history, Madden NFL 19 will be available to PC gamers as well as console. Now you can play the best sports title in the industry on all the beefy hardware splendor that is your gaming rig.

It's puzzling considering how it's an annual title and from a franchise that makes so much money. :s

I hope they continue to release further iterations on PC though.

I also wish the Top Spin games would come to PC. Looking for a good tennis game and there's been none for this whole generation 😢

I think you have your dates wrong.  I have 99, 2000, 2001 in my possession.  There was also John Madden Football in the late 80s early 90s... not developed or published by EA.

The dates I found might just be from when EA started to publish the game....

Eitherway, I'm glad it's on PC been hoping it would eventually be released

I have to play a videogame really fast, while commentating in front of 4500 people this week. I'm a bit nervous.

Sorry...I can't stop.  I like taking pictures, plus I grew up a huge football fan...played little league(half back) for 6 years.  Combine that with my love of video football games starting with the very first black and white Atari football.  Fond memories of playing that with my dad.

I'm pretty sure I've played every single NFL based football game for computers.

Here are my physical copies of the PC Madden releases.

I fondly remember those old Football games from Atari, Sega and all of them especially Tecmo Super Bowl I wore that game out.

I remember this one game that had a glitch that if you played as a certain team you could ALWAYS block a field goal attempt on 3rd down and run it back for a touchdown every single time.

But one of my ALL TIME favorite game was NFL Blitz the game known for hard knock out hits and no penalty for smashing into players after plays were over on N64 and then a second edition was released in 2012 on PlayStation 3

I have the releases of TECMO for the Xbox.  Fun stuff.  I also p,at tons of 10 Yard fight a quarter at a time on my arcade boxes.  :)

Sierra Online(later branded Dynamix) made the best computer football game ever.  FrontPage Sports Football.

You got to make your own plays and draw the routs how you wanted and the receivers would totally follow the route.  You could make some crazy ass trick and option plays.

The SIM part was great.  Not only did you play every play with serious action, but you also had to manage everything down to your french fry stock levels and how much salt per serving.

Their last release was so broken they had to offer a full refund after they tried and tried and couldn't patch it

We seem to be in the era of western's again. There's a new western game called "Desperados". It looks pretty cool. Granted, not as cool as RDR2 but still cool.
