Just saw this in BBC PS4 app >>

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Gamechangers

Apparently R* is angry and I can't blame them. This film was produced by people who have no idea about gaming and mentioning this idiot Jack Thompson was a clear indicator! Not only that, he was played by Bill Paxton :D

Btw, is the actual movie bad? I'd probably watch it just for sh*ts and giggles.

Ha! It was written by James woods. I had no idea until now.

"Toreno, is that you?"

If you search on YouTube for the name of the movie you may or may not find a low quality video of said movie. ;)

I don't know who the guy is to be honest. He didn't say or do a lot through most of the movie though. It's pretty much all about Sam and Jack Thompson.

I would like to watch a better quality version but not sure I would want to watch it all again. It's not that great.

Is Shadow of Mordor worth it on the 360?

It's currently on sale, and honestly, I ain't got time to download 80 gigs for, what I hear, is just a better nemesis system.

On its own, not compared to the current gen version, is the last gen version of the game worth it?

It's either that or Lego Batman 3.

Just want to say, why the f*ck does Skate 4 not exist? It is such bullsh*t.

Even if there was a PC version of 2 that would have been epic, even if it forced you to use a controller. At least we could get some mods or something. Add new levels, tricks, etc.

I have like so many ideas for options and it just seems like it just isn't mainstream enough anymore to warrant a legit game.

I mean f*ck, I would settle for some skateboards added to GTAV, even if you could just ollie, I am that hard up for a realistic skating game. I am really worried one will just never show up. We won't get it again. Not unless some indy dev makes one.

Well, skateboarding is apparently relevant enough to warrant a Tony Hawk game... Honestly, I think the future of the Skate franchise will hinge on the success of Pro Skater 5. If Tony Hawk doesn't do well, I don't think we will see a new Skate. Which, unfortunately, is what will probably happen.

I could be wrong with that theory. A Pro Skater 5 failure could lead to EA ordering another Skate to capitalize on peoples disappointment with Tony Hawk.

At any rate, I don't think pro skater 5 will do that well so i suppose it could go either way.

With how bad the latest TH game is, there's a void for skateboarding games that can only really be filled by Skate 4 - though unfortunately EA canned the dev studio in 2013, as they do.

However, there is one being made by an indie dev called Project: Session that's supposed to release in 2016, but we'll see how that goes.

I don't think EA will revive SSX again either. What a shame. I miss these games.

Loved SSX as a kid. I also got the SSX reboot from 2012 which had its pros and cons. It certainly lacked a lot of the things that made the originals good so it was a bit of a disappointment.

Not considering lag causing good (and disgusting) days, what is it about human beings that you just have those days where you are on fire, hitting everything, playing awesome tactics, an almost supernatural awareness - you know what I'm talking about, in like fps multiplayer etc.... is it diet? Something to do with sleep? I just wish I could harness whatever causes us to be like that sometimes. People are weird.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do have the solution...

Well apparently THPS5 is broken to sh*t, and it turns out their contract runs out in 2015 so I guess this is why it is being made, to get a few extra bills before its over.

It would be amazing if Tony actually went on to work with another company and actually got something like a successor to Skate opened up. It would be nice if his games actually were relevant again, even if he does look like an old skeleton now. But they need to be smart about it. Obviously I want it to be as realistic as possible but to appeal to other people it would be nice if the career mode played more in the way of an action game, instead of not being able to progress because you suck at doing tricks, maybe just do more of what skate did with photoshoots, and adjusting the magazine covers yourself, create a park for experience points, hall of meat type fun modes. Even a mode to lure security away from a spot or disabling cameras, add something else for non skaters, then it might get big enough that it might be able to sustain itself.

But who the f*ck knows. Even if Skate 2 got put on the back compat list, that would be enough for me.

EA not that stupid.

I liked FIFA Street 4 and it was a pity EA hasn't included NBA Street 5 in the spring 2012 sports wave.

As someone who never played a Metal Gear, I have 55 hours with TPP currently. I think TPP will give you more hours.

Seconded, MGSV might very well be my favorite game in years. Just don't expect something flawless, like the mainstream reviews would led you to believe.

Anyway, with two days of a "glorious next-gen era" of GTA V behind me, I feel like writing down a first impressions kind of thing. The first thing that came to mind was, obviously, the graphical upgrade. I'm not a graphics kind of guy, so I can't base my impressions with some illuminated technical knowledge and I have honestly no idea what kind of improvements Rockstar did and didn't do. That being said, at first I wasn't really impressed. Compared to AC IV's next-gen port, which pretty much melted my face off with fancier graphics compared to its 360 counterpart, I don't think the upgrade in GTA V is all that noticeable at first glance. Coming off MGSV, which looks fantastic too, didn't do GTA any favors either. But it's subtle details, where the improvements really come to light. With much more detail on the streets, it feels like Los Santos lost come of that artificial cleaniness that plagued last-gen versions. It's not Liberty City grit, but it feels more genuine. Lighting is much, much better and adds to the depth and atmosphere and facial animations look even better than before and really help subtle nuances in the acting come across. The upgrade overall is much more apparent in Blaine County.

First person mode is just what I thought before, a gimmick on foot, but it's a welcome addition in car. On foot, I ever only used it as a glorified zoom button, but in car it'll be fantastic for those atmospheric laid back drives. Neither of those are something I'd use all the time and I honestly can't wrap my head around why would anyone want to play GTA like this, nonstop. What annoyed me at first was some changes in controls, namely removing the handbrake from the A button and forcing an unwieldly aim LB->fire RB setup for shooting in a vehicle. As someone who is used to play with index finger on the trigger, this gave me some serious issues, thank God I was able to bring back the original settings.

Another thing I feel like mentioning is the traffic. It feels like Rockstar toned down the selection and more low and mid-end cars now show up on the street instead of just super expensive SUVs and fancy BMWs, great. DLC vehicles showing up in the traffic is a welcome addition too. The radio is alright, I haven't listened to much yet. Non Stop Pop is surprisingly okay guilty pleasure and I don't think the update redeemed LSRR like so many others do, but whatever. Radio Mirror Park is as great as ever, but I've been listening to those songs in my playlist since the game first came out, so no surprise. It was kind of funny though, finally getting to hear those songs I know by heart already, in-game.

To wrap this up, it's GTA V again, for better or for worse. I'm having fun so far, but the worst part of the game (the Merryweather heist and assassination missions filler) is right around the corner. I didn't expect anything at this point, so having a good time and actually looking forward to playing more of this game is more than enough, I guess.

Anyone else tried the Nvidia gameshare feature? Me and my friend had some great fun playing Gang beasts through it. We had to play the free pre-alpha version though, because the newer version doesn't support fullscreen for some reason(it has borderless window mode) and the gameshare requires fullscreen. Still it was quite a lot of fun. I really wanted to play Overgrowth as well, but it opens up a damn console window before the actual game screen and the gameshare thing thought that the console was what I wanted to share. Anyway the feature opens up quite a lot of possibilities and it's still in beta so it'll be improved. I wonder if publishers don't like it since it allows you to play digital games that you don't own for free without leaving your home.

So I was playing Shadow of Mordor, and it was the final mission.

I had killed the 5 talions, it would have been difficult, but thankfully, I had already experienced the consequences of not upgrading. So I went in and killed them all with slight ease, it was still engaging. Keep in mind it was like 50 people and the game stayed at 30 FPS.

And then the final boss was a quicktime event. Literally a quicktime event. Not even the hardest quicktime event, I remember pressing A twice and X once, that's it. That Graug quicktime-event was harder.

And then the cutscene played and the credits rolled...

And the credits lagged. The credits went at like... 10 FPS.

I laughed throughout the entire credits.

Come on, game. I was literally resorting to planning and coming up with tactics to get the 5 Warchiefs for DAYS because they were that difficult and the final boss takes me literally 5 seconds to beat? What the f*ck.
