If you have some questions, comments about a random game or developer, gossips, news or general gaming discussion, please chat away!!

This place is for anything that doesn't need its own thread or belong to any of the posted topics!! :beerhat:

I will start off by mentioning the booming mobile gaming industry. If you are complaining why Evolve costs $120 or something, please check these posts I copied from a popular mobile game forums :

Totally disgusted!! My alliance has stayed in the top ten for over six months even though we are relatively small because we gain a lot of our honour defending!! Now unattainable !We have all spent fortunes on here, I am into the thousands of pounds like many of us and have been constantly pushed to buy more and more... I and all my crew are seriously disillusioned and are all ready to quit at this moment in time!

Great work Greedy Game!!!

Yep fleecing your loyal players once again ...Well I think The BBCs Watchdog programme will be interested to hear how many people have been taken for thousands of pounds, some who's relationships at home have been put under strain because of loyal players just trying to keep up in game....everyone should drop them a line at the BBC to warn other of the risk of getting involved in this game.
well done Goodgame for turning a fun game int a miserable affair.
P.S. Sheepy is a Noob !!

Two of its Amazon reviews:

NOT A FREE GAME. Beware at the start you get things for nothing or you pay a few rubies which have to be purchased with a few £. Then you gradually get sucked in to an addictive game which costs real money. If a player was given the choice to pay £8 for a building upgrade or use some of his rubies most would think I'm not paying £8 for that! But once rubies are purchased they are not like REAL money so we pay and pay. Warning to all parents don't let your kids play this game. I spent £1140 in 12 weeks just £20 here £20 there and a few big purchase but suddenly it all adds up! Good Games tempt you with deals. You buy the deal then a few hours later lose all the special troops you got because they desert due to lack of food. OR buy more food with rubies! Sorry I mean REAL money. Before I go their server is pathetic causing all sorts of problems and their after sales nonexistent. Ruby boycott now on with players as price hike 33.44% on basic ruby bundle?

This app is very good but really greedy.
This app is always asking me for money!

Yup, these people spent thousands of pounds on micro-transactions for a mobile game, and some are upset why Evolve is charging a few dollars more for a full game.

I don't support either BTW, but it something I thought needs to be mentioned :D

I'm playing Borderlands, and from the start something dind't feel right with the iron sights. Now I tested it, and the guns don't even fire where you point. Not even the first shot. This is seriously pissing me off, especially because the god damn game is about shooting things.

I know dsp because of this is how you don't play dynasty warriors 8 video constantly appeared in the suggestion when i listening dw6 and dw5 ost and I don't know how can someone sucks so hard at a simple game like this and he decided to quit before finishing ambition mode, after that i tried myself to find tihydp gta sa and i can't believe that he also ruined that game real good, really? my most favorite game being destroyed by this manchild?but despite of his contant idiocy,he keeps earning more subscribers on youtube i really can't deal the fact how can someone keeps getting paid highly if he sucks at playing his own games?i really can't wait for his own downfall seriously!

Literally some of the best games I ever played on PS2 were Tony Hawks. I haven't played it in so long, your post reminded me of the golden days of the PS2. Everyone would come 'round and we would play HORSE on it lol, so much fun with mates. I was always sh*t at it though. THUG 1 & 2 had some of the best stories out of all the games as well, I remember the Story Mode being really good, as you had to rise to being a professional skater. Was really enjoyable, I loved how you were able to get off your Skateboard as well, one of the best features they added.

I was actually a fan of his early work.. dating back to like 2009 that is, he actually put work into his videos and make original stuff. Around the time he got his Machinima contract was when he started going downhill, don't watch his crap anymore but I definitely search around for "This is how you don't play DSP" or "DSP tries it", the latter is user made videos featuring montages of him doing stupid crap.

Great idea of a thread, was wondering why there was never one like this for months.

Why are the free games for PS Plus on PS4 always indie sidecrollers? I'm not saying they are bad games, I'm just saying that they should include some mainstream games more often.

Was discussing this today as well. I don't bother with them, First Light was nice to have in January, but this February line-up is very meh IMO. Have no interest in those games at all. It's great we get free games and everything, but I can't wait until mainstream titles really go down in price so they start putting them on. Actually regret getting rid of my PS3 sometimes, as it gets really good titles.

I don't buy every game that comes out, so it's nice to be able to try something that comes out that I didn't get around to playing. Have a feeling it won't be until a while yet.

It's still too early for that, First Light was actually a first good step into the program.. but I don't see them moving up from that anytime soon until as early as this Summer.

Hope I'm wrong of course, missed out on a few of the launch titles.

Only played a little bit of THUG1, but was a good game if I recall correctly. Think Project 8 was the game I spent the most time on though, absolutely loved that game, still got it for my 360 as well now. Purchased the HD version of Tony Hawks not so long ago, and for me, it ruined the game tbh...

American Wasteland was the last TH game I bought. It was good, but I preferred the story in THUG2. Loved the whole prank war thing. :D

Because how can they put major games like inFamous and Killzone for free when the PS4 only came out in November last year? They need to release a lot more games first, and then slowly start putting it on PS Plus especially when barely anyone is buying those games anymore. At least Driveclub is there.

Wow, I haven't played a game on my PC since November 2014. I miss those days when I had nothing better to do than play games. The last game I completed was the Godfather. An amazing game.

Had some shortcomings, and it felt clunky at times, but I think it captured the atmoshphere. I also liked the payday mechanics.

Bought Metal Gear Solid 1 from PSN store for my PS3.

Followed the instructions here:

https://support.us.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/999/~/playstation-2-and-playstation-internal-memory-cards-on-ps3

Still, have no clue how to save. Either I'm half-retarded (which is most likely), or simply this game doesn't save and I need to finish it in one go!

Still have to play most of those Mafia games, I started Godfather but couldn't get into it because of the controls, the interface and movement.

I haven't played Scarface yet, apparantely that's a really good one as well

Currently playing Psychonauts, man Tim Schafer is a genius this is the best game I've played in the last few years.

Yesterday I bought three different games. Thing is all of these games are apart of big series's and it's nearly impossible to find the original game that started the series so I just bought them in the end.

The games are;

- Batman Arkham City

- Just Cause 2

- Mass Effect 3

My question is can I play all these games without playing the game prior to them in the series? Or would it ruin my experience? Also would like to include Fallout 3 and NV in that because I've seen them pretty cheap too, oh and I guess maybe Metal Gear Solid IV/V too because my friends always talk about them.

Well, I can't say anything about Just Cause 2 because I haven't played it yet.

With Batman, I would still suggest trying to get the first game, because if you finish City and then get to play Asylum, you may feel dissapointed by the linear gameplay of Asylum. It's not such a big deal though. Sometimes, linear is better than open world.

With Mass Effect, don't even try man. Unless you start from the first game, just don't play it. The experience becomes 100% better if you pay it in the corresponding order (1, 2 and 3).

And seriously get both Fallout 3 and New Vegas. They have their differences, but the core game is the exact same. Fallout New Vegas is more rich though in content. Through the DLC's suck. Especially the Sierra Madre one.

Again, I can't say anything about Metal Gear Solid IV because I'm not an owner of the console to play it. Ground Zeroes? Get it only if you really want to. I don't know the current price, and while I think the game is exceptional (even through small), it's not worth the price. Again, just my opinion. If you can get it dirt cheap, go for it.

I personally wouldn't play Mass Effect 3 without having a save game from completing the previous 2, it makes quite a difference and even though a lot of the background of planets/lore are repeated, you'll still miss out on a lot (especially character development).

Just Cause 2 and Arkham City are action-games, you can play those without having played the previous ones.

Get Fallout 3 immediately, and then NV once you have exhausted 3. They are simply the best games ever made, if you enjoy looting and sneaking around in the rubble with a dirty AK-47 shooting raiders in the face. You will be happy forever.

Those two games I could literally play until the end of time. They will never become outdated or boring to me.

Only get a metal gear game if you have played the previous titles, you need to have played them multiple times or heavily read the wiki in order to even grasp what is going on. 4 is easily my least favorite and GZ is too short to be recommended to someone.

Go get the MGS collection and play 2 and 3, they are fantastic. While you are at it, grab the hitman collection too. f*ck the last one, 2, contracts and blood money are all you need.

Those are must buys.

Well, I can't say anything about Just Cause 2 because I haven't played it yet.

Go play that sh*t. It f*cking owns.

Shooting and driving aren't too special but being able to fly across the map like spiderman puts me into a trance like zen state.

Definitely. But I'm still at New Vegas. I swear the Sierra Madre DLC is driving me crazy.

Anyone plays Racing Rivals? It is a quite decent drag race game.Even though the graphics don't look so good on PC,it looks good on mobile. There are some cars to choose from. It is free. But there are some cars that can only be unlocked by the "diamonds",but even then, some can be won from others by betting.

I wanted to play Star Wars Racer Revenge (for the PS2) on my PC.

Used the emulator and it KIND OF worked, just the start of the race doesn't work very well, have to get away from the other pods before the framerate becomes normal. I also player some Sly Cooper with the emulator and that worked pretty smoothly. That was some time ago though, not sure if it was even on this PC.

Yeah for ps2 emulator to run smoothly you need to have a pretty strong computer that runs intel core 7 or a strong AMD CPU (although Intel is better) that's why I'm looking into getting a better computer (although it's cheaper to build your own but I would need lots of help)
