subvod Posted December 23, 2015 Share Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) So, I've completed the Dodo and Duke O'Death random events as well as the wildlife photography challenge, but why is it that, even after completing the final storyline mission, I have yet to receive a text from Ron about the stock car races? It's been weeks in-game and I still haven't got the text. I have purchased the Marshall for all three protagonists, but the stock car race icon near the bar (the only "Darts" icon on the map) in the Grand Senora Desert hasn't appeared yet nor have I received a text from Ron. Anyone got a clue as to why this has happened? And yeah, I passed the Mr. Philips mission a long time ago. I assumed the Marshall could only be purchased from Warstock Cache & Carry after all five stock car races have been completed but apparently I was wrong. Plus I don't have any of the stock cars available in my garage under the special vehicles menu. What the f*ck is going on? Yeah, and I'm playing on Xbox One... just in case anybody assumes I am on PC and put this in the wrong section. Answer to anyone else experiencing this issue (if anyone): they're gone for good as far as I'm concerned. Turns out if you spook or kill the driver next to the stock car across the street from the Yellow Jack Inn the guy and the car permanently despawn and the icon goes away forever. This is a gift from R* for players that played on last gen and then returned on the next gen. I played on the PS3 back in 2013 and bought it on PC just a month ago. This was not a problem for me and I got it right after "Mr. Phillips". Yes, I started on Xbox One, but purchased the Xbox 360 version, completed the prologue and a little into the storyline, then on my old gamesave I received the "Social Club Content Added" message in addition to the text from Ron, but on all three new gamesaves, the races' icon near the Yellow Jack Inn appear, but when I go to drive to their location, the icon disappears and has never reappeared on any of the three gamesaves. They seem to disappear right after I complete the final heist, but on this last play through they disappeared right before I started the final heist. Every other thing included in the returning player content has been showing up. Everything: the Dodo random event, the Duke O'Death random event, the GoGo Monkey Blista random event, the railgun and hatchet show up at every Ammu-Nation, everything shows up fine except for the stock car races. What exactly is happening? They haven't shown up since they disappeared on all three gamesaves (those of which I have completed the final heist and used Lester's assassination missions to manipulate the stock market). Apparently other people have this issue but the methods that seemed to have worked for them don't work for me at any time. The switching characters doesn't work, the doing missions doesn't work (I've run out of missions to do on each of the three latest play throughs), etc. What might cause the races to disappear? The icon hasn't appeared since it disappeared and the guy and the car don't show up, either. Why is this happening and is there any surefire way of getting them to reappear through the game? Or could this be a hardware issue? I don't believe the latter is the problem since I have no issues with any other games I play on my Xbox One, but I could be wrong. I have gotten the notification for the added content on all four saves and everything included in the returning player content went fine on these last three saves except for the stock car races. Something I'm doing must be glitching out the event because I've done the final heist the same way with the same crew members all three times. If I recall correctly, that bar is near the Alamo sea. My mistake. They do meet them there, but later on the showdown with the rival gang is at that other bar, not the Yellow Jack Inn where they initially meet. The stock car races are supposed to show up right next to the Yellow Jack Inn. The Yellow Jack Inn is just off Route 68 and the bar you speak of is just down the road from Trevor's trailer house. I've done countless property management missions over a five month time period (real-time, not game time) and the stock car races still don't turn up on any of the four saves I've done. They still only show up on the original save I was using at the time of when I received the returning player content originally. I still have all of the other content on all four of the later saves except for the stock car races that never appeared on the map. I've done three rampages for Trevor, completed all of the street races, one sea race out of the four I have available, both off-road truck races, all of the motocross races, etc. Basically I've run out of missions to do now. I'm at 85.3% completion, so yeah. I just did a rampage and a seashark race and the icon still hasn't shown up yet. I've switched characters countless times. I guess the stock car races are a one-time deal considering they only show up on my only good save, kind of like the f*ckin' cash card series. This is really downputting considering now I have to use that damn random-ass stock market to get from 12 mil to at least 400 mil. I've gone from 300k to 6 mil to 12 mil in a week of quick saving, investing all of my cash in one stock, sleeping without saving, checking to see if I lost or gained any, if I gained to about the weekly high, sell out, if I lost an assload, reload the save, invest everything in another stock, and start back over. That since I assume I haven't figured out a better way to maximize stock gain percentage-wise. Jeez, a character money transfer feature would be killer. That way I could just max out either Michael or Franklin's cash to about 2 billion then transfer about half of that to another character. EDIT: So apparently the stock car races disappear after spooking the driver. Once. Possible bug of the latest update. Actually wondering where the f*ck I can report this bug let alone any bugs. ercecamurofficial Posted January 1 Share Posted January 1 I might have found a solution Save the game first. Delete the game and reinstall it. Do not update to the new version, let the game keep v1.0. Keep offline or just stop the auto downloading. Load the last save, wait for like a few seconds and the races should show up. There will be only race 1-4 if the game is still v1.0. it’s probably because that Cheval Marshall is in newer version. Do race 1-4 in the 1.0 version of the game. After finishing race 4 save the game, disable autosave and update to the latest version (v1.38). Then launch the game again. start the races all over again and the race 5 and Cheval Marshall should show up for you İf it works you can tell me.
