Rockstar should bring back the old events to PC/PS4/XBO

I thought it might have to do something with these free Lester things this week. But as it's more missions then Lester's it should be something else.

For about 15 mins I was in a lobby and it didn't appear.

 

Okay, common sense, I should wait more, but how long should I really wait?

Would be funny if they didn't spawn for me in particular.

You could email R*, but knowing their habits of not paying attention to messages properly, they'll either leave an automated reply or just tell them that they should start adapting to Freemode Events with hackers, in rare cases of course.

Check the thread, I've done that a multiple times.

 

This "sudden" bug makes me think Rockstar might bring them back in the next update... Or not?

I remember the good old days of the event weeks where the armored trucks were spawing very frequently, it was very exciting to have something interesting to do in an invite only session,

 

I wish that they will bring them back at least for the small or solo lobbies, there is no reason to not have something interesting for the players of these lobbies to do in the freeroam, they are still in the game they just have to open them again.

Agreed, and WE know for sure that they all still work, because they all popped up about a month ago for some player, including myself, I got ALL of them in a row....

I got all of these in a row on April 25th, and they lasted until 1:00 am on April 26th, when I got the NEW Daily Objectives List, once I got that new list I never got another OLD event.

I can't help but wonder if you're doing something the rest of us aren't and that's triggering it...do you remember what you'd been up to? Did you have the text from Simeon w the export cars (I ask because I usually don't lately and wonder if there's a a connection?)

I still get Simeon's order list but it's much less frequent and often doesn't happen until I've been in a lobby for a while. It used to happen every single day as soon as I dropped into my first lobby.

If you steal a car and it gives you a 2-star wanted level, it's a Simeon car; after you respray it, the S will appear on the map. No idea why it takes so long for the message to be sent.

Yeah, I've noticed that, haha. I actually avoid taking any cars from the usual Simeon parking spots too even when I haven't had the text.

I prefer the new freeroam events to be honest so far as i can judge.

Exept king of castles....the area is way to small...atleast the one i tried(even though i won)

If the 2 players i was againts were more capable we woud have ended up rather sniping and rpg ing eachother over and over and nobody woud have been king till the event was over

^^ This thread isn't about removing the new freeroam events, it's about adding the old events back in with the new ones (at least in lobbies with too few players for the newer events)

Thus why I said its not conclusive, I know its not always on the list, just that if it's spawning there's a good chance...at any rate, I just stole a Patriot, didn't have a list but got stars, didn't get any notifications but when I painted it I got the S, when I delivered it I got both the list and the thank you simultaneously.

 

Edit - What I'm getting at is, I think sometimes when you don't get the text there is a list anyway, and sometimes I think there isn't but that's harder to be sure of.

I just got the phone call from Ron reminding me about crate drops.

It has been a long time since i got that call.

 

I was in a invite only session by myself, and i just completed a gang attack, he called the second after i completed it, right after i got the rp+$ screen.

I'm on ps4, and even have the platinum trophy for collecting crates, i don't even remember getting that call that much when crates was dropping - i think he only called me once or twice, like two years ago.
