I think Rockstar considers the cars in the text you get from Simeon as HPVs now.

Don't you get those texts once per real life day? Because then it's prety much a one time bonus. Better pray you get the Ocelot f620 request and not a bunch of 3K car requests...

Don't you get those texts once per real life day? Because then it's prety much a one time bonus. Better pray you get the Ocelot f620 request and not a bunch of 3K car requests...Money you get is a bit random...Schafter pays 9k so would be 18k even though it's 6k in lsc

They can't really hotfix this, they were completely disabled on 8G/PC.

It has already been a couple months since I've made this thread with no response from Rockstar. Seeing as Rockstar finally fixed the Moving Day award after months of complaining points out that they indeed listen to us, but we need to be more vocal, hence why I am bumping this thread.

Rather than going by if it ain't broken, don't fix it, they do the opposite. Old ones were better IMO.

Disabling this made close to 10 awards impossible to get along with some tattoos and clothing.

And let's not forget that crate drops were a far better way to unlock special clothing than what we have nowadays.

 

At least make them appear in invite only sessions or solo sessions, or when there are less than 5 players in a session.

Don't forget to upvote it.

The events are there. If you have a mod menu, you can enable them! The code is still present in the game. They are simply switched off, and taking up space on your hard drive. Rockstar should really consider enabling them.

 

 

Actually a few of them were broken. Well, maybe a bit.

 

What I think GTAO needs are more non-voilent or low-violence ways to make money in free roam, revolving around picking up/collecting objects with a vehicle and taking it somewhere, perhaps on a different day/gameday.

 

Too much of the money making (decent money) in freeroam pits players against each other. If I shoot you, and you shoot me, Rockstar wins cause it wastes our money. I think we need collectables of varying value then can be sold individually or combined to a greater object. Shoot4Cash is what makes the game boring. It would be cool if there would be random things to find (some on map, some not) that had to be loaded onto a vehicle (you would have to own a van/pickup truck) and then take it back to your garage to be then delivered on another day to a special place/person/dropoff for cash. If the vehicle is destroyed you lose the stolen goods etc. Evading police would be a factor.

This would set up and feed things forward nicely to when GTAO moves to GTA6 where we should get a whole p2p trading market a la steam. Imagine raiding/trawling the junkyards for common/rare car pieces that would be used to build a whole vehicle or trade parts you don't need. But yeah, Shoot4Cash has gotten old.

I agree. It would be neat if they brought back the side missions from III, VC, and SA. I'm talking about stuff like Taxi missions, Vigilante missions, Ambulance missions, Trash missions, Pizza Boy missions, Fire Fighter missions, Trucking missions, etc... Heck, VCS had Cost Guard missions, Air Ambulance missions, Air Fighter Fighter missions, etc...

 

These missions could be modified to integrate multiplayer into them as well. You could partner up with another player in Vigilante, Fire Fighter, Ambulance, etc..., then compete with other players for fares in Taxi missions. I would say that passive mode would be enabled in Taxi missions though. The customers wouldn't be too fond of violence.

 

This would also mean that players would legitimately have access to several items in the game as well as new ones for the missions. Several things already exist in the game for these, such as the fire extinguisher, police uniform, trash uniform, etc...

I think there's already plenty going on. The other night we were flying to the yacht to do Piracy Prevention, when we flew over an active King of the Castle event on Vespucci beach, after I kicked off Piracy Prevention from the yacht we had a sniping match against the guy doing King of the Castle in the tower. it was two events going off at the same time and somehow overlapping each other, even though neither event could control the outcome of the other it was great fun. It that not enough for you?

Why do you DON'T want the old ones back? Why not at least make them spawn alongside old ones? You can easily ignore them if you don't like them.

Didn't read through all the posts, but can anyone confirm that if you sit around in a Invite Only session for 48mins, if any of the old Events pop up? Getting all the Smuggler Planes the hard way, I know that if you do certain things like Gang Attacks will reset the timer. So basically sit in session doing nothing for 48mins, and seeing if a Armored Truck, or Smuggler Plane pops up?

Wow, wouldn't that be considered False Advertising on Rockstar's part? They have all those awards for completing said Events, and even some bonus items too. Yet it's completely impossible to achieve it now. I'm sure there's new players that are interested in getting all the Awards, etc. Can't imagine them staying when this broken. That would be like doing CMM, and the progress staying stuck at 27/28 no matter how many times you do the run.

On 360-ps3 they happen every 48 min, had armored truck yesterday. Really sux for last gen having to wait that long when they have had them every 5 min to 12 min in the past, they even had special crates in invite only session solo, thats how i got my fist shirt. They should at least do that again for us on the older systems

This is exactly what needs to happen. That awkward 15minutes without anything to do is silly. There should ALWAYS be multiple things to do to keep freeroam interesting and addicting. There should be multiple events to choose from! Like steal a simeon vehicle, or go rob this armored truck, or go and distract the cops here if you want.

 

Don't make it so notifications are constantly popping up or anything.. just make it so these events are available on the map if you wish to find them.

 

 

There also needs to be a way for players in a session (invite only or otherwise) can initiate a specific freemode event, like "Werewolf" or that one where you stay within the bubble.

I think it's a bit unfortunate the old ones have been removed, however I tend to enjoy the new ones WAY more than the old ones.

I just wish sometimes more people would play the new ones, sometimes I get 7+ people following the Objective, sometimes just 3 to 4, but with Free Mode Events like Penned In I get no one playing them, which is a shame really considering how much fun that one can be.
