Rockstar should bring back the old events to PC/PS4/XBO

So in CG and PC Simeon no longer sends you the text messages with cars? That's good, I'm tired of always earning a 2 star level for entering a car he wants. Not going to miss that when i transfer (however, he pays you sh*t for everything you do for him). Anyways, it's a real shame that they removed the armored trucks and the other cool stuff, was a good way to make quick money.

 

Also, i don't understand what's wrong with Gerald. He might be a bit greedy sometimes, but Simeon is much worse. I'm glad i killed him in story mode.

He still does. It's high priority vehicles which were removed, not the text message vehicles.

Also, he never actually appears in SP, what are you trying to say?

There is a random event between the missions Friend Request and Mr Philips in which you enter his dealership (as michael or frank) and he'll send 2 goons to kill you. You can kill him as soon as it starts by using the homing launcher (in last gen) or running him over with your car if he tries to escape.

until Rockstar is competent enough to make them actually work correctly and deals with the god mode exploits and invisible body part glitches and the players that use them the crate drops really should not be brought back. When they were around, you pretty much had to be a cheater to get them because when they would actually drop you would end up with multiple players in god mode getting them unless you were super lucky.

 

It would be nice if they brought back the rest of the events but seeing how Rockstar has been doing stuff lately I can't see it happening anytime soon.

they definitely glitched a lot more that that. Every single time they did the crate drops most of the time they would not drop, or the pilot would get spooked and not drop the crates even with no one anywhere near by. Everytime they would actually work and drop there was always at least one player using god mode making it impossible to get the crate. The only times I was ever able to get crate was when I would get lucky and had no one else going for it or just got lucky was able to beat everyone to them.

It was just all the LG whining about not getting any new DLC's etc. So R* let them have that stuff so they could have something CG didn't and hopefully stfu!

Probably because the XB1/PS4 weak ass tablet cpu's wouldn't handle that much simultaneous sh*t going on without bogging down. Good thing they put 8gb of RAM in these new consoles and CPU's not strong enough to move it around.

It seemed apparent that R* were simply incapable of fixing the Armored Trucks because the patch notes for every single update would mention a fix for it, but it would always be the same. I'm guessing it's a similar story for the Crate Drops.

 

The awards are what really suck about this though. I had them all on PS3 but I must have gotten some of them after transferring my character because I don't have them on PS4 and now I can never get them.

 

The other thing I've noticed is that R* have been too lazy to introduce new awards for the new events. As far as I can tell, the last ones we got were for heists. It would be super nice if they would at least remove the old ones from players who didn't complete them.

it's been talked about in a few other threads, Rockstar themselves confirmed that they have been completely removed from the game on PS4, Xbox One and PC. They did not say why they were completely removed, but the rumor is they had some big problems with the timer system that activates the events that they could not fix and as a result they were completely removed from the game.

Actually a few of them were broken. Well, maybe a bit.

 

What I think GTAO needs are more non-voilent or low-violence ways to make money in free roam, revolving around picking up/collecting objects with a vehicle and taking it somewhere, perhaps on a different day/gameday.

 

Too much of the money making (decent money) in freeroam pits players against each other. If I shoot you, and you shoot me, Rockstar wins cause it wastes our money. I think we need collectables of varying value then can be sold individually or combined to a greater object. Shoot4Cash is what makes the game boring. It would be cool if there would be random things to find (some on map, some not) that had to be loaded onto a vehicle (you would have to own a van/pickup truck) and then take it back to your garage to be then delivered on another day to a special place/person/dropoff for cash. If the vehicle is destroyed you lose the stolen goods etc. Evading police would be a factor.

This would set up and feed things forward nicely to when GTAO moves to GTA6 where we should get a whole p2p trading market a la steam. Imagine raiding/trawling the junkyards for common/rare car pieces that would be used to build a whole vehicle or trade parts you don't need. But yeah, Shoot4Cash has gotten old.

 

Given the way the majority of people play this game you probably won't find many people that would agree, but I would like something like this that would give us a reason to own vans or SUVs or station wagons even.

 

I'd also like to see trailers be used for things more often too. I don't know why, but every time I find a boat on a trailer in single player I end up hooking up a truck to it and cruising around and doing something with it, whether it's taking it to a boat ramp and dumping it into the water or just jumping it off of a mountain to watch it crash.

Crate Drop contains a tshirt and 200,000 would be worthy the fight to grab it.
