Where to find special crates? Are they discontinued?

I am trying to unlock the Los Santos Belle T-shirt. from what I understand, to unlock it I need to find it in a special crate. However, since I started playing GTA online, 150 hours in now, I have never come across any crates.

 

Where can I find them?

 

I have read that they are no longer dropped? In that case can Rockstar remove the shirt from the shirt rewards list? -.-

They are no longer dropped .

You will only find them on PS3/Xbox 360 currently, they are disabled on PS4/Xbox One/PC following Freemode update.

 

Rockstar may/may not remove the awards for these from the game but likely they will stay because those who have already acquired the

item will still need the award to be kept in game etc.

 

You may get the t-shirt if you make a complaint through Rockstar Support ticket but I don't know if that will work.

Probably been superseded by the next gen freemode events.. but I hope they make a comeback.

We were talking as a group last night about special crate drop not happening and then one of the group asked about Armored Trucks and HP Cars for Simeon ......Most of this group has made the Jump to the PS4 within the last 3 or 4 months and none of us remember any of these events happening

That's correct, all old events have been disabled.
