All these updates were pretty trash. Only thing 'cool' that has came tot he game was the revolver. Lookin forward to that new shotgun that's comin' but until we get some more TLAD bikes (which will probably never happen) I won't be satisfied.

Well that is your opinion. Play something that satisfies you.

GTA does satisfy me. It just has potential to satisfy even more by making a biker update.

With what little faith I have, I am putting it into 2016 for a biker update

Heists were cool, everything else was a glorified cash grab to get players to buy shark cards though. Thanks for making lowriders cost half a million dollars, Rockstar. No really.

 

I would replace all these updates for a single piece of story DLC though. I've never actually grinded long enough to buy any of the new vehicles we've received online this year.

I am glad I did.

GTA O's best year by far. Here's to hoping that next year is just as good, if not better!

True, but that's not saying much. The game's barely two years old.

 

Considering the differences in quality in the updates compared to last year, I'd say it says quite a bit.

GTA Online recap for those of you who are fairly new to the game.

 

2013: sh*tty servers

2014: sh*tty servers

2015: sh*tty servers

2016: probably just as sh*tty servers

2017: the game somehow fries from a power outage

Neverending loading screens and piss-poor matchmaking definitely fall under sh*tty server issues, and I think it's safe to say all of us encounter that indefinitely.

The best year GTA:O has had. Ever.

Hopefully, 2016 is better. Hopefully we get SP DLC in 2016.

 

Hell, hopefully we get an announcement for new games from R* next year.

The game doesn't have dedicated game servers in the traditional sense. All the servers hold is player data. The game is actually a dynamic peer-to-peer network, created between all the players in the session. That's why it's so f*cking abysmal. It has nothing to do with servers as they have a very, very minimal part in the system and nothing to do with the stability of the game.

Well I'd say I've enjoyed all the updates in some way. A fair few missed opportunities, some ridiculous prices especially once igg came around but overall there's something from every update that I've enjoyed. Hopefully now the updates are only on the up! Bring on 2016 I say

I have playing since GTA5 Released

2015 was another fun year of playing the game, the updates were good, I stayed on last Gen Until just a few months ago, then jumped to the PS4 the updates have been great and has made the game keep a fresh feeling

 

I had not really played any Rockstar games other than Midnight Club (which was story only) But a couple of friends of mine talked me into buying GTA5 when it came out, and I did thinking this will be a short term break from the COD titles and maybe become a game i play to keep from burning out on my other go to titles

 

Well i got surprised, GTA5 became my main go to game for fun and enjoyment, I even went back and purchased GTA4 and Red Dead Redemption and gave them a play even tho they were 'Old' Games by then

 

The one thing i has really surprised me is I have not had to spend any additional real money to keep the game fresh, I see a post on the newswire about new content coming and i dont worry about having to shell out real money to get the update, like i do with other titles

 

I do hate it for players on the Last Gen Machines now that they are no longer getting any updates, I hope they become able to join the New Gen Ranks soon

I have read here and there on the internet that we may get GTA6 sometime around 2018 .....My Experience with GTA5 will be the reason i buy it

I, for one, have really loved most of the stuff bought in this year. Sure, there were a few stinkers (looking at you gold jet) but stuff like the yachts was most welcome :)

FESTIVE SURPRISE 2014:

Great update, It was fun to play with crew in the snow. Truly a wonderful time.

 

HEISTS UPDATE:

Long awaited, disappointing glorified missions.

 

ILL GOTTEN GAINS PARTS 1 & 2:

A generic update(s) that added nothing to the game, except suck up our funds so R* could get cash card sales. The gold jet screams "We need money".

 

FREEMODE UPDATE:

A set of mini missions no one wanted

 

LOWRIDER UPDATE:

Actually a cool update, sweet cars bringing us to 92', killer clothing, and a cute hairstyle. Players were actually peaceful. (until a jackass ended the period of calm)

 

HALLOWEEN SURPRISE:

The cars were... nice I guess. The gamemode Slasher needs improvement, no costumes. Flashlight is pretty useless?

 

EXECUTIVES AND OTHER CRIMINALS:

Oh man, the same yacht still rehashed from Max Payne, a penthouse in one location without customization (and no balcony access), so much effort R*. Stilt houses which have no balcony access and the same 3 interiors with only minor changes. Clothing was the best part esp. barefoot.

 

FESTIVE SURPRISE: 2015 EDITION

Same thing from last year but with pajamas added, Im in my feelings rn so this was nice.

How did you expect the Heists to go? I actually can't really say a radical new way for Rockstar to approach heists, except for maybe different approaches, stealth or loud.

 

I'm actually curious, what would be the ideal Heists for you?

I didn't really like ill-gotten gains as right after heists, they felt a bit underwhelming. The rest was nice.

 

 

I'm hoping for Liberty City in O in 2016 one day. Please santa kthxbye
