I bought one stilt house on each character and I really like them. It's annoying that you cannot access your garage, balconies, or backyards from inside the house though. And the houses themselves seem to the least impressive on their streets, to an extent. But I suspect R* will release nicer ones, which we'll buy, then even nicer ones, which we will also buy.

 

Still, it's more relaxing to spawn at my house in the upper east side.

I knew the locations would piss people off; I sold Hangman pretty quickly, and the stilt houses are even worse. Love the property, but if I couldn't call Merryweather to my roof then I'd never use it.

I rather live there than in Eclipse tower, even if R* gave me 5 mil I woulden't move to Eclipse tower, seriously I woulden't.

I'm waiting for other flats in other locations to become customizable, before that I'm very happy with my stilt house.

On the other hand, if the property limit rises beyond 6 before I quit and neither Weazel or Richards receive new properties, I'll seriously consider moving everything to Eclipse since I favor stacking everything together for easier garage management.

I just bought a second stilt house today.

 

Now i have my main residence in Paleto Bay, 2stilthouses, a garage and a yacht...

 

Im happy with my choices.

 

I wish they'd put a house in Paleto Bay with a 10 car garage. I don't care if it looks like there's no way the garage would fit ten cars, that apparently doesn't matter in Vinewood Hills.

Hell no. I like the location, i like the different interior; I've even been spawning there, when not spawning on my yacht. I'm also going to use the Conker location as a springboard to do Humane Labs elite challenge attempts.

3655 Wild Oats Drive is actually the best place to start heists or even contact missions from. It never fails, some one always gets run over by a car and goes flying down the street when they spawn into the heist or mission. It's extremely entertaining ! =)

What's with NPCs hanging out by the door of Wild Oats?

If I leave my house or show up to the door and someone is standing there (especially if they are smoking or on their phone) they are going to die. Usually by melee weapons. Beat them down like I used to with the mechanic.

I bought one of the stilts and its now my only residence, the rest are garages. I like try and emerge myself in some light role play and take things semi realistic. I don't always go full throttle I try to keep it at a moderate speed most of the time so when I do decide to open it up a bit, you can really notice the difference. That being said the tight winding roads are actually preferable, I've always wanted a house in Vinewood hills to begin with, I never liked the Hangman property.

 

I really don't see it as out of the way of anything, it's a pretty discrete location, I didnt buy the 800k one. After checking them all out I chose a property that I thought would be overlooked and to date I've never encountered anyone else living there.

I traded my house in for a garage. I figured I would never spawn there. Besides, I freaking hate driving in Vinewood Hills. So now I have the Eclipse Towers penthouse and 4 10 car garages.

As it stands, I'd much rather have a house than an apartment so I'm keeping mine. I would invest in the penthouse suite if only it wasn't at f*ckin' Eclipse Towers

Nope love having a place outside the city with a 10 car garage, tempted to trade in all my apartments for them.

 

Used to have 10 cars in the 6 car garage houses. Till I lost some cars by accident so headed back to the cesspool that is downtown Los Santos.

I have five. All next to each other for organization of cars. I only have 30, but I love to organize. I then bought a black Vacca since it so much fun to drive in the hills. I just spawn at my yacht and fly into town when I start up. The houses ARE terrible spawn points.

Was disappointed at first cause of garage access and no custom interior but i learned to love it, everyone has a yacht or high-end(Especially Eclipse) now. I love the view of Rockford hills and the tall castle looking building and the sparkly and shiny white interior. I only wish we could access the balcony. If they ever release better houses or even mansions i can always just swap for this expensive ass house anyway.

i just think r* missed the mark on the new apts, imo. i like eclipse cause i have those big windows i love & the new decorating loses the side & bedroom large windows, so i can't upgrade for myself. and the stilt houses not having patios you can just walk out to like franklin's hills pad (pool, Jacuzzi, grill) is disappointing. yeah you can jump roof but that's the point. there's some cool properties to be had like weston's house, madrazo's ranch house, Rockford or playboy mansions. i don't understand why those weren't made available

The stilt house suck imo. Sure the interior is pretty nice.

 

But the locations suck.. The exteriors are dull, like R* picked the worst possible ones, except for maybe one. You can't get to you garage via your house.

 

I bought a few.. sold them before the night was done.

I did, and wasted a load of money in the process. It was perfect, but the garage interior ruined it for me.

Traded it in for a 6 car house in Paleto Bay. I dont need 50 cars... hell I have another 6 car on HWY 68 in Sandy Shores by the Sandking XL spawn.

It's nice to not spawn in the middle of the city. I kept 3 apts at Tinsel Towers and bought the two stilt houses with the most direct routes into the city. I'm quite pleased with my purchases.

Traded it in for one of the Penthouses at Eclipse Towers. It wasn't very convenient for me, and the fact that I can't go into the garage from within the apartment annoyed me.

I think the stilt houses serve somewhat of a purpose, outside of town a bit more breathing room... but the lack of garage access from inside the house puzzles me.

 

I still love hangman, i like seeing people hanging out by the pool at night, feels a bit more 'alive'. Not sure if Oats stilt house has people hanging by the pool at night.

Considering the way they treat properties with the interiors separated in the game world, it would be impossible to do without making your properties open to everyone such as dealt with regarding the yachts.

I've not bought one. I really can't be arsed with properties in this game if I can't actually go in and have a look at them first. Sure, I can go watch some videos on YouTube, but that's crap, lazy (on the part of R*) and most likely pointless. I want to be able to walk round and look out of the windows, see the different views etc., so if the u-tuber doesn't show me what I want to see then it's not enough. I swear they (R*) think that people will buy things based on popularity and cost. Basically, if someone buys the most expensive apartment then everyone will. f*ck that sh*t.

 

I'm happy we can have another property - that is awesome. But when I do come to buy one when I inevitably run out of vehicle slots, it'll be a 10-car garage, not a surprise box on sticks.
