FUEL feature

just play real life mod on pc if you want stuff like this or......18 wheels of steel & don't forget to sleep! the atm was a similiar concept & look how that turned out, everyone deposits money on phone cause they were traps & inconvenient. you aren't getting fuel tanks in this game. I want LAUNDRY: change outfits once per game day or your a$$crack stinks & health goes down lol.

Was going to do Titan of a Job this morning and my daughter left the dome light on in the Insurgent and the battery was dead. None of my friends online had the jumper cable DLC.

GG cockstar.

What do you think about the effect of this feature on gameplay?

Gas stations full of proximity mines. Would work quite well considering how the pumps explode.

Isn't really any different to people throwing mines down outside lsc, eclipse towers and everywhere else, for every hundred cars that get blown up at a los santos customs shop. i bet i can tell you which one 99 of those 100 players took there cars to. if you're stupid enough to use the one lsc that is always riddled with mines and stickies or folks with rpgs you deserve to get blown to sh*t. gas stations wouldnt be any different really.

plus if they did it right you could possibly get gas without ever needing gas stations by doing missions like ticket to elysium where you steal whole tankers of gas. keep a stockpile in your garage so your cars are filled when stored.

as for fuel prices gta$ are worthless anyway, having a million bucks is essentially like finding 2 quarters in your back pocket, it's pocket change, so even if it cost you 30k to fill your tank each day it's nothing.

so much thinking put into it but the one question u forgot:

at which rate do i need to refuel? think about it in ingame-time, one day of driving around alot at fullspeed with a super? would it equal 2 days with a hybrid? whats the formula? the theory is nice, but maybe rockstar tried that and figured out that there is no sweetspot for that. maybe its either to often and gamebraking or so rare that its useless to implement.

how about instead of running out of fuel u can go forever on your reserve but the car is 5% slower or something while your warning light is blinking.
it wouldnt brake game situations and u still can care for a ride to the filling station. it would behave like damage, considering car respawns etc. meaning it refills automatically just like damage is repaired with certain actions.

thinking about it, an "annoying" blinking light with sound warning would be enough, no need to nerf anything.

As cool as this sounds. Just go play Arma 3 if you want a hyper-realistic real-time game. Altis life servers are awesome, but avoid the ones that say "free cop". It means that every squeaky sh*t box in the world will try to pull you over and handcuff you.

I love this fuel idea. Maybe they could also add jobs, like in that Shenmue game. You can live a life of crime or just have like a day job where you have to log in at a certain time everyday and go to work for 8 - 12 hours in game. If you don't log in you'll get fired and lose all your properties and then you get to use the homeless bum DLC where you only get access to hobo clothes styles and a shopping cart vehicle.

off topic but occasionally i miss the eating that san andreas had. i'd get a chuckle out of fat, engorged cj huffin & puffin down the street & climbing fences. i'd make him eat till he puked sometimes.

I don't even have to read the OP to tell you this a HORRIBLE idea.

Really? I mean, I like the idea of real life in a video game, but do we have to make it to the point where we're on 24/7 to control our character to make sure he doesn't die because we didn't make him feed himself?

This isn't The Sims.

This isn't Animal Crossing

This is a f*cking Tomagochi

I don't want it to come to the point where it gets so realistic that once your character dies that you can never play the game ever again.

With the number of times you change sessions, enter missions, call in a new vehicle for a free mode challenge, or make an insurance claim due to cars exploding for various reasons, when have you ever driven the same vehicle long enough to make fuel consumption a viable stat?

Stop trying to make fuel consumption happen.

It's not going to happen.

Cars in GTAV/GTA0 are typically destroyed, or replaced, long before they run through a full tank of gas.

It is my believe that if this feature could be implemented in a good way like fuel depletion at a reasonable rate it can bring fun to game. Also i strongly support the idea that off road vehicles should be good at offroad its really strange that a super car can just go anywhere lol

If it is some animations act like you were fueling up, yes for me

If it is necessary for the cars to run in the game, nope, nope nope nope.

bad idea, it would ruin GTA V... why? no one wants to worry about fuel when their trying to have fun as well people will abuse gas stations and camp at them ( this is GTA not happy happy fun time )

How about implement a toggle in the Interaction Menu? People who try to shoot down ideas from people who may enjoy such features are the worst. They can usually be solved to allow the best of both worlds. If someone wants to waste time refuelling because it helps their immersion, why not? Just don't force me to use it.
