Newbie to GTA online. wondering what people recommend to spend the money on to give me a boost or a good start.

would like an apartment, i heard the one near the airport is good to pick up the heli etc. and maybe 3 Alta St., Apt. 57.

Other than that, weapons, cars etc that i should be looking at? should i get the buzzard or something else.

if you haven't unlocked savage , buzzard may alternative ( warning : there is level requirement ) and it's fast and agile but fires 2 rocket at time

Depends on how you play this game. If I were you I would pick up best vechicles for each category but if you don't mind doing races a pegasus vechicle like Savage/Hydra (will unlock after completing certain heists) will do for missions and freemode havoc. Any high end apartment is a must have. Also leave yourself some money for ammo and weapons. Homing launcher is quite op and I do recommend buying it.

Shootinalloveryourface

Savage or buzzard for missions

Karuma for missions

Elegy for racing

Automatic Shotgun, Special Carbine, AP Pistol, Combat MG

10 car garage as cheap as possible & cheapest apartment if you want to host heists

I'd recommend the Alta St. apartment. Right downtown, real easy to get to the airport, helipad, LSC, Benny's, etc.

As for a car, you might as well get a supercar so that you can have a chance at getting away from the tons of people that will be trying to kill you over and over on a daily basis. I personally like the Zentorno. Great performance, only $725k so you won't blow the whole stack like you would buying a T20. Might as well buy the Jester or Massacro race car variant as well so that you have a leg up in sports car races. Not sure what you level is right now but it may be a while before you can upgrade the engines.

Whatever weapon you buy, make sure to get the extended clip. Nothing worse than running out of bullets and having to change clips mid-shootout. Get something with a rapid fire rate and a high damage score. Then get yourself all the explosives. Rocket launcher, homing launcher, sticky bombs, proximity mines, grenades and grenade launcher. Get them all. You'll need them.

See how much you have left after all that. If you're comfortable going broke to get an aircraft, then by all means do so.

Buy a Yacht.

Quite useless at the beginning of the game.

You need level 70 or something like that to unlock Buzzard which is weak when compared with Savage.

If you are interested into apartments you should probably check out all the apartment locations and views they have. For a start 1 apartment/house should be enough.

The Armoured Kuruma is a vehicle I would recommend to get for public lobbies since its always a warzone there, its also a good vehicle for contact mission since you don't have to worry about being killed while followed by NPCs with insane accuracy on hard difficulty.(To get the Armoured Kuruma you simply have to beat the first heist which is a easy thing to do even as a new player)

Buy either a Buzzard or Savage and a high-end apartment (for heists). I bought the Buzzard as soon as I unlocked it and grinded contact missions with it. The Savage came later on and that's what I use nowadays. They're not ideal for free roam, but they are for contact missions.

What you get near the airport is not an apartment. It's a 10 car garage. I have that one just because it's close to the airport. It's a little far away from everything else though.

If I could recommend you a cheap and good apartment it would be the one in alta street, it is close to EVERYTHING and really cheap

both aircraft are oddly weak ( buzzard takes few SMG before smoking while savage takes 4 shot of revolver before blown up )

so the pilot need to keep distance between the enemies and pilot . not to mention colliding a streetlight with buzzard may cause the helicopter smoking

Get a buzzard and kuruma. Those will help you raise cash in missions so much. Even without a crew those help you a ton.

Get the cheapest 10 car apartment and an armored kuruma, don't buy anything else after that until you make more money.

Hydra is hands down the best vehicle in the game for pretty much any purpose (getting from point A to B, grinding missions with friends or solo, griefing if that is your thing).

In fact, stick around long enough, and you will be treated to the tears of this forum regarding it's power.

Not everyone thinks this way. I laugh at sky pussies.

I don't know why people go on about how great the Alta St. apartment is; it's miles from anything useful. Much better to get Tinsel for Sentinel spawns/LSC, and an airport garage. A Buzzard/Savage is essential for missions, and a Kuruma for stuff you need to do on the ground.

You'd think that until you get your sorry arse up in the sky and get shot down repeatedly.

I don't get in the sky. I am a ground player. I just make it as difficult as I can for those types.

3.5 Mill? Well then, you should buy:

- Either a high-end apartment or a stilt house (something that can be use to store 10 cars and hosting heists)

- A 10-car garage (if you already bought a high-end apartment, because one apartment is enough)

- Weapons (this is the most important thing to own in GTA: Online)

- Vehicles (Cars, to be exact. Get something that is affordable to insure, performs well, and you will like to use for some time)

- Save it in case you unlock something new that you want for a while

Also, how can you get a 3.5 Million as your starting money?

If I started today with this game with that kind of money.A hydra and live out of my car and get good. Thanks to modding and glitching people own everything in this game basically but money and glitching can't get you skill.

Cool. I do the same (except I don't use the cannons on ground players, don't think it's sporty or fun). To each their own. But I wouldn't call someone I don't know a pussie who would probably shoot you out of the sky in a matter of seconds if you fought him.

Alta is great because its close to LSC's that you can actually use in a public free roam session and it has access to 2 helipads close by

Tinsel is ground zero for free roam warriors, if thats your thing go for it

Buzzard for missions

Free RH8 for driving

I have called them that since IV. To each his own.
