Don Speedy- its a public lobby which means everyone is free to do what they want...I hate jet greifers and trolls as much as the next person but unfortunately that's part of the risk of being in a public lobby. And the most unfortunate part is that passive gets abused by trolls way more than it actually helps people.

I've definitely noticed that there are no more free roam wars in current gen. People in current gen also don't do anything but free roam jobs and heists. Nobody joins races or Deathmatches or playlists of any kind and forget about LTS and captures.

 

Maybe it's cause I had a larger friend list on last gen but there's aspects that I miss about playing on PS3.

Only trolls miss it so no, I'm not a troll.

 

Way more Trolls on Xbone, every Lobby has a couple of pacifist trolls.. on PS3 I used to have switch sessions several times to find one

I miss it. I knew when I got on NG I would miss it. I've always preferred how passive mode was done on last gen. Call me a troll but I found it more fun and exciting. It's imperfection was beautiful.

 

Passive mode in next gen is good for when I want to meet other players in a public lobby. I'm very use to going into a private lobby when I want to do things like modify cars and try on clothes.

 

To be fair I could still meet other plays in a public lobby on last gen, just have to be aware 24/7. I think that's what made it more fun for me. Anything can happen. You could be driving a personal vehicle to the customs shop and then all of a sudden a jet or tank appears. Makes it more of a challenge. There's more options for destruction and havoc with LG's passive mode.

 

This is all my personal opinion and I'm not trying to disrespect anyone. There is no reason be rude if you don't agree.

I sure as hell don't miss LG passive mode at all. That thing was the most poorly designed concept I have ever seen in a game imo. Seriously, allowing players to go into passive mode and then strip all their guns, but still letting people run them over and kill them with the fire truck? Plus it didn't even work in cars, no clue what R* was thinking when they came up with that idea.

 

It's obvious Rockstar saw how flawed passive mode was in LG, so at least they fixed it for NG and PC. I'm glad I can roam around in true freemode now and not some constant deathmatch. I can't kill other players in GTA at all for some reason(which is wierd since im not that bad in Battlefield and COD), so passive mode on NG really helps.

I'm still new to the new passive mode, its fun for me. I have yet to spring out of it and get a cheap kill, but I do enjoy how uncomfortable people get when I'm near them in passive. Relax, I wouldn't shoot you in the back after a heist either, I'm just spectating

It's amazing how many people complain about passive, yet immediately recoil when friendly lobbies are encouraged. So many problems with passive would go away (with passive, of course) if Rockstar simply put in friendly lobbies for people to meet on less aggressive terms.

 

Passive's been nothing but a bandaid for the true problem, and the wound's become crusty because of it.

Back in the day I always took down jets with my own jet and then the pilot would go passive. I would fly down right next to them and blow them around with the jets engine. This was before the Hydra was introduced, so this was pretty tough to do but it was so much fun.

I wish we had that passive mode instead, so I could just mind my own f*cking business without a Pogo mask wearing douche driving a chrome Zentorno with Dollar Rims tryng to get a cheap kill.

Have you considered upgrading then?

And I don't miss the half assed old gen passive mode because the protection it provides is minimal.

LOL, of COURSE I do, every day I play this game and I know what I'm missing out on CG I wish I could be playing with all of you, but I can't afford a new console and drop 300 bucks for the same game again, all of my hard earned cash goes to my college and the end of every month, and I don't make much more than that, what's left I spent on other things at my leisure.

 

Also the reality of my country is very different than yours, every eletronic is terribly overpriced around here.

No,I don´t miss it,new gen passive is much better.The only thing that I think would make it better would be if we could defend ourselves from NPCs while in passive (at least only with melee weapons and handguns).
