Wtf have they done to pegasus vehicles?

As far as I know there is only a cooldown during the free roam event Criminal Damage. It keeps you from replacing your death machine if you wreck it, or from cheaply winning the event by just calling in a series of gold Luxors. During other times there should be no cooldown. Though I've long wondered why there's not at least a cooldown on armed aircraft; the fact that you can go through Hydras like toilet paper is ridiculous, and just another reason why free roam is sometimes a clusterf*ck.

 

When I see threads like this, I wonder how much some of you actually play the game. The Criminal Damage cooldown was added with the free roam events update months ago, and it's been talked about numerous times on this forum.

Well, it doesn't hurt. For real though, it just drives me up a wall how much misinformation gets posted here. People notice something for the first time when it's been in the game for months, they don't even understand how it works, and they rush over here to post a thread about how the "fun police" totally patched/nerfed/sodomized something. It would be different if they just asked how it works; instead they gotta act like Rockstar is standing at their desk, dangling a dick in their drink.

The random location respawns in those events beside the slow aircraft and the PVP at those spawn points and resulting battles I've had means

there's no point going for Pegasus vehicle again anyway because by the time you get to it's spawn point the event is over.

I haven't tried all the freeroam events, but I've has Pegasus cooldowns in more than one. I assume all of them, but I'm not sure

It is definitely, definitely not all of them unless this was literally patched yesterday or today. I was actively playing until two days ago, I do free roam events all the time (pretty much all of them except the couple dumbest ones, like Melee Challenge), and I have never seen this happen outside of Criminal Damage that I can recall. I've definitely replaced Pegasus vehicles multiple times during the various flying challenges, because they cause a lot of crashes.
