VIP Staus, Organization questions

I have search for a guide or some official explanation on how these feature work, But came up empty

OK

here is what i know

I know you have to own a Yacht and have 1 mil in the back, to register as a vip and setup your Organization, I also know how you hire and fire Bodyguards

But it gets cloudy after that

I have hired Body Guards, Now how do i pay them or how do they get paid (when, where, how) A friend of mine thought he got 7k for being my bodyguard but i checked my transactions and saw nothing taken out of my account and 7k would be a hard one to notice in the dollar amount shown

as an Organization how do we build the net worth of our Organization? I can select VIP work and my Body Guards help me complete it, but it seems that only I get paid and i haven't found out how to spread the money around

If someone knows a link to this information please share it

I know you have to own a Yacht

Do you?

Yes I own a Yacht

I have also registered as a VIP and Hired BodyGuards.....and done some of the VIP missions both alone and with the help of BodyGuards........I just cant figure out how things work after that, like building money for the Organization and spreading it around to its members

You don't need a yacht to be a VIP, only a minimum of $1m in your bank.

You don't pay your bodyguards, SecuroServ does. I've not timed it, it's about $5k every fifteen minutes or something. VIPs do not get that payment though. Everyone gets payed when you complete an objective like delivering a vehicle or briefcase, or collecting documents etc.

If a player earns any money while your bodyguard, 85% of the profits will go to you, and they will get the remaining 15%. It can be collecting bounties, picking up money, selling a vehicle etc.

If you die as a VIP, you will get a notification saying your bodyguards' payout has been reduced for failing to protect you, so try not to die or your happy bodyguards will be unhappy bodyguards.

No money is ever taken out of your bank account as a VIP.

I tried registering as a VIP under a different username (PS4) I have 3 mil in the bank but DO NOT have a Yacht under that account, when i tried to register i got a prompt saying i needed to own a yacht first

I will start watching closer when doing the VIP work, No One has noticed getting any money buy me, and will start watching also for the 85% of the profit coming from the money they collect.......Do you know if this money can be redistributed to them in anyway?

^ You don't have to own a yacht, is what I was going for.

You can share cash from last job using Inventory as before, although not all Free Ram activities allow it.

If you want to spread the love fully then you'll need to take it in turns as the VIP.

Thats Odd, I tried to register as a VIP under a different username yesterday (12/21/15) I have over 3 and a half mil in the bank, when i tried to select register as a VIP i got a prompt that said i needed to own a yacht to become a VIP (i am on the Ps4)

Maybe it was a glitch or bug coming from the festive update, will double check today

Beartooth Bek

I'm 100% sure you don't need a yacht to register as VIP. I did 4 sessions of VIPing, made 2.8 million in the process towards my yacht purchase.

Anachronistic

@Cameron is spot on.

Just to add, if you own a buzzard, turreted limo, Baller LWB or Cognescenti (LWB) those will be delivered for free (I assume, I only own the Buzzard and it's free). It is delivered much closer than your mechanic ever has (my buzzard had been delivered within 100ft of me) If you play as a bodyguard you don't have the option to order un-owned vehicles, even if you wanted to pay for it.

Your duration as a VIP is based on in lobby time only. On Sunday I did a lengthy playlist, came back and had 3hrs left, I logged in yesterday morning and had 1hr 30 left.

I went back and double checked the account that I had got the prompt telling me That I needed to Own a Yacht to become a VIP .......the first time i tried to register i got the prompt again......but i Backed out of Online Play and then went back in to online play and tried to Register once again........and It worked this time......

Thanks for that Info,

I like the V.I.P features. Adds that feel of posses from RDR, and you can make somewhat event money if you are solo, or with someone. It's not lucrative, but decent. I really hope they keep the V.I.P features the same, and don't nerf nothing.

II did 4 sessions of VIPing, made 2.8 million in the process towards my yacht purchase.

Doing what?

Sight seer, contact mission, Sight seer, contact mission etc. until the VIP session ends. You get 4 hours as a VIP, but that's 4 hours in free roam. Once you're in a contact mission the VIP timer stops, but the VIP mission cool-down timer doesn't. You can basically get 7-8 hours of VIP if you do this, and make a ton of money.

It's almost like Rockstar are apologising for not allowing us to dupe cars with dead hookers.

I've been doing something similar, but which contact mission do you use? I have to find a decent one,

Also, why don't you do hostile takeover at LSIA, it takes like 2 minutes, and it's an easy 16k. Just use a buzzard.

Doesn't hostile takeover require other players? I've been doing this in invite only sessions so I know I'm guaranteed the $22-$25K for Sight seer (5 minutes - much better money).

I've been mixing up the missions to keep it fresh, rather than as lucrative as possible, but as always The Los Santos Connection is good at $28,000 but can take 15-20 minutes. Trash Talk and Defender are decent for money/effort/time ratio, but I really enjoy Cops Capacity as well. As long as it's long enough to get you through the VIP cool-down timer then it doesn't really matter.

Oh yeah, I concur with all the above people saying you don't need a yacht. I don't have one.

Edit: Ignore me - I was thinking of one of the other VIP missions. I'll give hostile takeover a go - thanks :)

One quick note that I just mentioned in another thread... If you are VIP and exit freeraom to do a mission, heist, whatever, the timer for you being a VIP freezes at the point you leave freeroam, while the cooldown timers for the VIP missions continue.

In short, you don't lose VIP time while out of freeroam, so you could essentially do a VIP mission, go do a normal mission wile the VIP mission cooldown is going and return after the cooldown has ended without losing any VIP time.

Hope that makes sense.

The Info about the VIP timer stopping and Cool down Timer continuing while out of freemode on other jobs is great Info Thanks

You mean you earn bonus money if you do contact missions as a VIP?

No, he means it's an extra to your cash flow by getting the VIP money then do contact missions and then repeat the VIP event.

No, but wouldn't that be great! I still got the usual $20K (ish) for doing The Los Santos Connection, plus the $8K you pick up during the mission.

Damn, Cameron, I should've nominated you as "Most Helpful" - that first post you made is nicely detailed. I know everything about the V.I.P stuff but your post was a great refresher. :cookie:

I didn't know that the cooldown timer still ticks while in missions (but not the V.I.P timer). There's like 2-3 minutes that I typically wait between a V.I.P challenge or Sightseer/Hostile Takeover (I think that's the name) so I just go sell a car or take a bathroom break. I'll keep that timer trick in mind next time I'm V.I.P. If I can add to the dog-pile: I also don't own a yacht and been V.I.P 3 times now. V.I.P, both as V or Bodyguard, is great money. I typically make 400K-600K in that 4 hour (with missions thrown in here and there so it's around 5 hours total). The more I work hard towards a yacht, the more info comes out about new cars and the less I want a yacht. It's such a weird situation that R* has created for me. I mean, I'll own a yacht some day but the time it takes me to get that money I keep getting second thoughts on a house on water.

I think my plan is going to be, sightseer, mission, hostile takeover, mission, and then Rinse and repeat. I'm trying to get my Yacht and then I'll be working on some movie projects. If anyone is interested, PM me.

I wish they gave us more insight to this.

Does it work if you own the limo like the others? That's a pretty major incentive to purchase it. I only have the Baller LWB Armoured at this point which does allow my bodyguards to bring it up. I know there's also a LWB Shafter and some version of Cognesceti, but I'm unsure of which versions it is.

FWIW, you have to own them before you start your Organization. They will not appear if you buy them midway through.

So, anyways, can someone confirm free turret limo?

edit: Also if you're playing VIP as a yacht owner and not playing Piracy Prevention, you're doing it wrong.

Wait, I sold a gold dubsta while I was a bodyguard, but I still kept all my money. Is it different if you're in the same crew?
