COPS HAVE HOMING LAUNCHERS?!

So I'm in my Buzzard in a Invite-Only Session. I have a 3-star wanted level. I start hovering above some cops. I start blowing them up, and I get a 4-star wanted level. Almost immediately, I here the lock-on noise and out of nowhere, a rocket comes flying towards and blows me up. No time to react. Rocket went straight for the Cockpit, so there's no hope dodging. No explanation. Nothing. Just a rocket coming out of who knows where to blow me to the great mansion interior underground.

 

Was this a bug? Do Cops now have Homing Launchers? Really confusing.

 

Note: When this happened, I was in Vinewood Hills. Would post evidence but don't have a video. it only happen once so far.

After I saw one of them steal my buzzard from the port, I pretty much convinced myself this dickheads could do pretty wierd stuff.

 

Would be funny if they stole a tank.

I did shoot myself with a Hydra once, well 2/3 times actually. Kind of went too fast and flew into my own missiles.

Given where you were, I'd say it was a patrolling NPC Lazer that somehow detected you.

Lazers sometimes launch off from Zancudo both in singleplayer & online for patrol.

 

So it sounds like maybe one caught wind of you & sucker punched you with a rocket.

It's not unheard of where one of those patrolling Lazers has glitched god-like all knowing perception.

Could have been a jet or one of the Military bases SAM sites, if you flew over there with the wanted level then it could have tracked you.

I've seen that when the Merryweather guards are flying Buzzards. You flying above them and without titling the nose of the Buzzard up, the stream of bullets move when the front of the Buzzard doesn't.

He's correct, OP. Since we have over 2 years worth of playing time (most of us) then you have to prove this happened or it's either a mistake on your part or simply more forum fodder.

I was chased all over the city by a cop that stole Benders stallion during a mission. That thing hauled with magic cop speed added into it. Very funny too. As for OP, you would have had a jet on your tail, they do occasionally follow you down to the city.

it appears we've underestimated cops in IV so much , now they're become real challenge in V ( i.e choppers spawn absolutely out of nowhere , NOOSE SUV gunner with crackshot accuracy , their interceptors are fast enough to catch up with adder due to same " Catch up " feature in races , etc )

The AI in the game can also literally shoot rockets backwards through the helicopter(the missile will go through the f*cking chopper) and kill you too... best AI ever 10/10 R*

Cops can not do this. Either OP was flying over zancudo/ prison.. or a player locked onto him. That's it.
