Potato Bean
I have noticed that you will occasionally come across people who are dead accurate with the jet cannon. I find this odd considering its nearly impossible to see a players character model from the distances that they kill me. They will come out of a turn and the very first shot they fire is right between my legs. The only way that this would be possible is if they're using some kind of mod, or they can see my player name/crew tag from long distances. Often times I'm killed within 2 seconds of spawning, and there's just absolutely no way they can pinpoint my exact location down to the inch within that short amount of time simply by glancing at the minimap. If anyone knows how this is possible, I'd like to know. Every time I use a jet, I can't see the players character until I'm within pistol distance, nor can I see their name tag or crew tag. The only way that I ever know someones exact location is if they fire a homing launcher and I see it. I simply refuse to believe that they can know exactly where I am just by looking at the minimap for .25 seconds. Endjinn
StangOne50
You dont look for the charachter, you aim for the dot. You must be able to look on the minimap, choose a dot, KNOW its location and execute. You may not believe it but thats how it works. Many times I never even see the player or I see them at the very last second(this is why you must be able to know atleast a general location by looking at the mini map) especially if their on foot. Experianced pilots can quickly look at the mini map and know exactly where that player is. As you play more you also learn spawn points, you can kinda guess as to where the player will spawn. Up in the hills and in the country areas you have long stretches of road or very few roads, you know the player will spawn somewhere on that road or in the area. So you kill him fly off a lil, turn around follow the road and when he spawns you can kill him again.Expert pilots can dive kill you. fly straight up, dive back down as you are spawning, make the adjustment needed and kill you again. Just today I spawn killed a guy 4-5 times before I lagged and crashed, good times lol Edited December 22, 2015 by StangOne50 Endjinn and Neuling2000

It's nigh on impossible to actually see the player on the ground, especially at night when they're wearing dark clothes. It's all about the dots. As far as I can tell, the biggest skill pilots have, apart from the actual flying, is being able to tell when to angle downwards. I'm a good pilot, but even I have trouble using the cannon effectively in the city, and it's entirely down to failing to judge the minimap properly. The Lone Wanderer
MAP KNOWLEDGE in short jet griefing well does require a little skill not much I admit but a little Edited December 22, 2015 by The Lone Wanderer Hunter
Hunter
They're not really that accurate - it's just that the canon has a very generous amount of splash damage. If you're anywhere near where they shot, you'll die. Also, since the cannon shoots quick, they can just spray an area. Like other people said, most jet pilots just use the map a lot. When/if I use a jet, I look at the map all the time and compare places I can actually see with the map - then I'm able to work out the rough location of the enemy. The explosive rounds do the rest. grand theft spaghetti
apparently all it takes of hours of dedication to be able to grief other players in jet. im guessing a seconded character modded on ps3, brought to ps4 and then its nothing but hydra kills on a fresh account so you can have an insane kd like 20.something and claim its legit? but on my screen when i see your jet slam into the ground, explode and then pop right back in the air killing another player i still think youre cheating somehow. A Madvillain
Well, I'm (im)possibly accurate with the Homing Launcher. Edited December 26, 2015 by Zer0's n' 1nes

IMO anyone with a KD of over 2.20 and a not too high a rank is using jets to grief. I've had in-game abusive texts from other high rank players for having the, apparently, 'cowardly' audicity to kill a bunch of low rank 50's on foot (fair game IMO). A couple of minutes later those same 'moral' heroes are griefing the entire session in their jet. Gotta love the Gobs*ites in this game Edited December 26, 2015 by Aliashu
Hunter
Well, I'm (im)possibly accurate with the Homing Launcher. Good luck with that: http://gtaforums.com/topic/811388-how-to-dodge-homing-launcher-missiles-in-a-hydra/ The thing's useless against jets. We need a weapon that actually works. thedeephouser
Highlighting a player in your phone also makes them an easier target. Not sure how effective for jets, but as. Buzzard pilot, it is a great tool. Hunter

You have to wait till they are coming right at you. Its useless against jets that are just flying around.
Hunter
If they're coming right at you, they'll be doing that at an angle you can't aim though. Besides, all they have to do is pull up and spin a circle if they mess up their dive bomb. Edited December 27, 2015 by Icantthinkofonew
STEEZYR
They need to remove the explosive rounds and just leave the jets with the missiles. OP as f*ck

I took out 3 jets in the last 2 days like that. Lock, shoot, easy way out :oD Edited December 27, 2015 by StangOne50
