Auto run in GTA Online. What do you think?

You guys think that Rockstar should add an option to enable auto run in 3rd person? I think this could equalize at the players which usie 1st person.

Sorry for my bad english. :D

Yes. I've never understood the 2 run speeds since it was first introduced. We should always run and sprint when holding X/A, in my mind. What is walking for anyway? Fine, keep it in shops and other interiors, but why on earth would I ever want to walk in the street. If people really, really want to be able to walk then graduated speed defined by the analog stick angle (like nearly every other f*cking game in the world!!!) would be a way to please the walkers.

Push fully forward to run. Hold X/A to sprint.

No, the terrible view angle in 1st person needs that advantage.

Why do you think that?

You're right mate it could be like in older GTA's or at least only when you are handing a gun.

Yes. I switch to first person when having to run a long distance, it would be nice to not have to switch. But first person is at a disadvantage already because of the limited FOV compared to third person, so, it wouldn't make things more equal.

I walk when I'm only using one hand to play.

I switch when some "marksman dancer" tries to kill me but when i want to take the carabine I need to change to 3rd person fast because shooting and rolling it's very awkward in 1st person for me.

I know how mashing the A button is all immersive but I don't see why we couldn't just hold it for run and don't touch it for walk. It wears down my controller.

The A button on my Xbone controller would be grateful.. as it is, I've destroyed 3 in the past year.

Jacking off. I thought it was pretty obvious.

Please make auto run for 3rd person view because I'm tired of accidentally activating rockstar editor when sprinting and trying to check the map.

this is a conspiracy between R*, Sony, Micro$oft and all the people that manufacture controllers.

they know the constant button smashing required in gta would grant people having to replace the controller more often.

i mean i have bought 3 ps3 controllers since gta was released, my bro and my kid have gone through 7 controllers between the 2, thats 10 controllers in little over 2 years.

my latest ps3 controller is just a couple months old and its already failing and acting up.

my ps4 controller its just barely 3 months old and the X button is getting loud and not so reponsive.

YES!!! The A button on my Xbox controller is starting to wear out because of the repeated tapping.

This.

Except i'm on PS4.

Rockstar logic...

As long as it's optional, why not?

This. I like the way running is at the moment, but I'm all for it as long as it is optional.

Yes. Main reasons being not wanting arthritis of the thumb, button wear and being sick of hearing masterbation like noises down peoples mics 24/7.

There is no A button on the PS4 and you know it, so stop lying.

An option in the start/interaction menu to run or walk by default when pushing the stick all the way is the best solution.

If you change your controller layout, you can run by pressing the L3 button only once. To sprint you will need to keep the L3 pressed and push it up forward at the same time. It will work like a FPS game.

I laughed way too hard at this part

OT: yea we should, idk if my controller can survive (cause using a keyboard to run is just too much)

I think that holding run would allow you to run but tapping run would allow you a short, brutal sprint.

Would naturally have a cooldown. The characters are really slow in the game. I actually ditched the game when I very first played it because simply walking around was too slow.

.... the PS4 version of the A Button in Xbox. Duh?

OT: Came expecting the OP talking about "simply pressing a button/key and have your character runs/walks" like in PC Skyrim. Disappointed.
