Which was the best part of the game?

OMG

Everything in the game was great, especially now when I look back. Best moments? Sudden unexpected turns of the story; CJ being thrown into an unknown. Tenpenny dropping you off in the middle of f*cking nowhere. Helicopter being shot down as you approach the tanker in SF harbour. Toreno making you drive Monster through a completely unfamiliar landscape.

Truth's mission where you go to SF is the most spectacular. By that point I didn't realise I could go to SF, so it was my first experience of the city. Driving a beat up van on the country roads, taking a turn - and suddenly SF skyline appearing on the horizon. "A city of psychodelic wonders" - says a man who a minute ago was talking about Herbie the astral goat. If this is not perfection, then I don't know what is.

Each mission is a masterpiece in its own, but on a larger scale these were the best moments for me.

ADDED

My favourite mission series were, of course, Toreno's - challenging, yet very different from one another. His character is done to an amazing extend. He's my favourite secondary character in the game, followed closely by Truth's missions - many of which, coincidentally, also take place in the desert. Desert was very very well done, and having missions there while listening to K-DST was a great experience.

Second favourite series of missions - Badlands. change of landscape, tons of fun things to do, meeting Kendl and Cesar in the small trailer - very atmospheric.

Crossbones

I like the first part of the game. Dealing with the crack epidemic, gang warfare, drive-by shootings, hood life all this things were great and made sense. I also love the LV part as it had interesting missions and the mob focus. I find the San Fierro part little boring though. The first part of game made sense while the other parts were really James Bond type of sh*t.

The transgression of both CJ and the storyline from the very beginning till the end (of the line). I was pleasantly surprised to discover that a GTA offered such a diversified story, charaters and atmosphere/feeling in a single title. It was as if each region of SA was an entity in of itself and had its own separate story to tell... but they all meshed and came together nicely (with some minor exceptions here and there). That is why I continue to say that the real hero of San Andreas is SA itself. Good writing/story-telling, great environments and enough diversity and fun even in the 'quieter' moments. Really, never a dull moment in this game.

All parts were unique and perfect. SA is the closest game to perfection I've seen. Gameplay, Soundtrack, Story, Characters... It had and has em all. I wish for a game like this in HD era but we have yet to see it.

For me probably the last mission, but I really liked collecting the cars and make tons of money.

Evil empire

My ranking for the cities' missions sets is

1 - Los Santos

2 - Las Venturas

3 - San Fierro

And I had a good time playing SF's missions.

When you arrive in Las Ventura and do your missions there and later return back to LS to the gang life.. Best part.

Son of Zeus

First chapter in LS, then the Mafia portion in LV. Then the ending portion in LS with the Riots and all. The triad stuff in SF was also pretty cool.

Pretty much all portions of the game. Gets a bit slow when you're exiled to SF but picks up later on with the Loco Syndicate and Triad stuff. I treat the desert missions of Truth as crazy side-stuff haha.

You have gangbanging, small time robberies, burglaries, the Triad, the Mafia. It's just filled with good, varied crime stuff.

I would choose the beginning and also beginning stage of san Fierro. Because that my childhood. I got stuck there because I didn’t do you had to do driving school to continue the story. lol

I love ALL the game. In every county and city you have to do different things depending on where you are and everything is so different and complete. Whether if it's being on the hood or roaming the rural areas the objectives are always changing and you keep learning ans seeing new things and getting new weps... but the goal is always the same, to come back to the beginning in LS and save his brother. This is one of the best protagonist development. Basically it's plentifulness that makes this game the best.

The first chapter is my favorite. It was very fun for me to drive and fight with the homies.

It's a shame i had to kill both of the former groove members, Ryder and Smoke, i wanted to hang around with these guys more.

I like the whole story! The map was used for the whole story, every place was used! That's highly missed in GTA V. GTA V doesn't used all places for missions like the Mile High Club, The Prison, The militery base.,, GTA SA did a amazing job to fill the map with activities... GTA V failed in this point. So the best part of the game are the activities.

San Fierro. I just love the City. By far the best for me, so beautiful, and after losing everything at LS hear is where CJ stands back up. I love LS mainly for gang wars with Ballas. But for me SF ahd best actions, specially woozie missions and the awesome actions against Da Nang Boyz. CJ's acquaintance with Truth, Kendle and Cesar is amazing. And him hunting down the 4, working for Jizzy and all, i lke everything about SF from Are You Going to San Fierro to  Yay Ka-Boom-Boom  , all missions were amazing, especially Amphibious Assault , Da Nang Thang and Pier 69. The best thing about  it were the cool actions against the Da Nang Boyz. My fav clothes shop Zip unlocked and so much more. And so much more. So for me personally its SF by far.

Somewhere in middle of first part in LS. Especially love Smoke's missions. In my childhood i hated them very much. But now...idk, there's something different. Blue "Glendale" and "Bounce FM", unforgettable...

The driving part was my problem. In the early part, in missions like Drive Thru and Drive By (just to name two) you are forced to be a driver while the rest of the homies have all the fun. Still tagging up the turf and cleaning the hoods were good for fist actions (also spraying in the former). But the real action begins from Sweet's Girl imo. Still I hate the sort of missions where I am driver while others have the fun, the sole exception mountain cloud boys near the end, its fun to let Woozie shoot despite being blind he is great (better than Smoke and Ryder put together) !

I'm mean it completely makes sense though G. Part of a drive-by is having everyone else in the ride busting caps at rivals or a random house while the driver has the main focus on the driving. Once the work is done your job is raise up outta there and get everyone back to saftey.  If both these missions didn't revolve around drive-by's then both missions would be entirely different.

Then again you could just get out your ride and kill every balla yourself :p The problem is though is that Ryder's ass almost immediately starts bitching at CJ for leaving the ride, lol.

Lol thats the thing I have always preferred to do and actually did mostly. (same with say cleaning the hoods, you dont need guns but can still use, although I love some good fist fight with the Ballas). But as in what the game wants you to stay driver, and that has always been the biggest issue of SA for me , its more about driving than action . Regardless I agree with your point, plot wise that makes sense. Still one of my least fav mission in part one is robbing uncle sam. While you can let Ryder collect the box and easily guard against the weakly armed military , instead you are forced to be the one collecting the box wile every now and then Ryder who is a terrible shooter is near death. Still as a whole LS part 1 is amazing  my fav will always be SF though particularly for the woozie missions XD.... My least fav is countryside .  Only Truth's Body Harvest and Are you going to SF are great. But the rest, the Catalina missions (not bad, but annoying, although local liquor store is frustrating) and the darn race missions, and dont forget Badlands all that trouble just to kill someone and snap a photo , all your weapons taken away too, (ppl are pissed with snail trail and photo opportunity for similar reason, but always found this worse)....

The Los Santos arc was by far the best part of the game tbh. The story was interesting & pretty grounded, they nailed the "hood" vibe and the characters were memorable. Hell I even liked CJ a lot here. If the game was just set in LS + countryside I wouldn't have minded it at all.

Sometimes I just replay that part but after that lose interest. The story after LS just feels all over the place (even if on it's own the LV arc is at least pretty enjoyable)

I hated the countryside, the only mission I enjoyed was Body Harvest, Catalina missions were fun but felt pointless, and Local liquor Store was horror. Are you going to san ferrio imo is kidna overrated, its just burning weeds, blowing a heli and along drive with truth, Truth's dialogues and interaction with CJ makes the mission so memorable and special. Thats just me , am sure all have diff opinions.
