just Gesha
I loved the part when getting in San Fierro and starting the work on that garage in Doherty. But anyway, my favourite part is before the end of the game, where CJ and his other friends are living in the mansion Madd Dogg. Really don't know why I loved so much this segment of the game, but I loved this mansion and all the people in it living together sounds like a very nice thing to me, also by this time Madd Dogg was getting back into the rap game, so many nice thing were happening at this time(when we forget about the Grove Street Families going down and Sweet being in prison). By the way Madd Dogg has a very nice flow, he was promising. So waht was your favourite part of this very big game? hellraiser123 and Rafae S
Official General
My favourite part is the first part of the game in Los Santos, when Carl gets back into the gang life, and has to prove himself as being down for the Families once again. The San Fierro part was cool too. hogei, Crossbones, Journey_95 and 2 others

Xing of Virtue
The LV journey, right when CJ started working for Toreno all the way to the latter's final mission. The rest is baloney IMO. Edited December 22, 2015 by Xing of Virtue
Algonquin Assassin
I like the first part. Not a big fan of everything post being exiled from LS. I don't mind the LV strand due do to the mob influence, but the best part will always be the beginning portions IMO. GamesBoy316
The beginning of the game in Los Santos is my favorite part. It has a lot of my favorite missions like Reuniting the Families, Just Business, House Party, and Drive-Thru. I think it's my favorite part because I spent so much time in Los Santos when I was younger, so it has memories for me too. I don't mind the LV strand due do to the mob influence, but the best part will always be the beginning portions IMO. Definitely this. The first part was just all about straight up, gritty street gang action and violence, along with the intricacies, and politics. I enjoyed that the most. I preferred being in LS, but to be fair it was cool to be exiled in another city far away, unlike in V where you are exiled only to the next county and big town. Sombra
I think my favourite was definitely the start of LS and the return to LS; just the gang atmosphere, being in the hood and doing crazy sh*t while meeting interesting characters. The whole Red County/Badlands part was probably the worst, just seemed like alot of driving back and forth to do bullsh*t missions and objectives. Secondly I'd say LV just because of the mob influence, the heist storyline and the AT-400. Official General 1 join the 11%

Absolut
Favorite thing about the game? The map. It was enormous and very alternating. I might like it more than V's version, giving SA is so much older. Second best thing? The storyline. Very well written. For me it didn't get worse later on, i liked the story all the way. But later on, driving distances got silly. It was crazy to grind it from corner to corner repeatedly. Wish i could revisit the game on PS4, but i don't think it will happen. Y Λ N K X V
My favorite part of the game was the first part of the missions when CJ was in LS doing gang stuff and all that. GeorgeCostanzaTheMovie
I liked the first time you got into the country side. I also really like the LV missions. It was still fun to return to LS, but the story went a bit down hill there for me TBH.
Veteran_VN
My favorite part was roaming LS in the beginning, between the 2 quests "Doberman" and "The Green Sabre". combustion
It could be driving an Infernus around the Strip at night, ejecting out of a Hydra into Area 69, jumping in the hilly roads of San Fierro or taking some GSF homies out and killing people at the Los Santos beaches. ChiroVette
I don't have one favorite part. Honestly, there is so much sheer, awesome variety to this game. Some people only seem to like one part, like those who just love the gang-banging in Los Santos or the gambling ion Venturra. But to me, the way that the scenery and landscape keeps changing is what I love. Going from Los Santos gangs into the glamour of Vinewood, and the hick villages and hilly, off-road areas of Red County, Then being blindfolded and left for dead in Whetstone and exploring Chilliad and the rest of the Back-O-Beyond. I can go on and one, but its all really appealing to me. I love that Rockstar decided to let some gang-banging thug get into hippy stores, auto-repair and customizing, dating cops and nurses, casino ownership, and steal military fighter jets with always the hint of aliens in the background that never quite materializes. To me, if it wasn't for San Andreas, there would be no Saint's Row, a franchise clearly modeled after the insane, unbelievably, over-the-top aspects of the life and times of CJ and his insane band of cohorts. lil weasel, Excalibur Voltaire, Official General and 6 others

But anyway now on topic: My favorite aspect of the game was exploring, thus finding new ways to complete missions and progress the story or just causing complete mayhem SR1 and 2 are very over the top, in a very real sense, like San Andreas is over the top. I definitely agree with you, however, that it may not seem that way when compared to SRTT and SRIV, because those games are just insane. lol But before SRTT, I looked to SR2 because it was a sort of "next gen San Andreas," where GTA IV was more grounded and realistic. When I say OTT in SR2, I am talking about two main components: 1. Where it is very similar to San Andreas. Things like gangs, factions, takerovers, the insane gunplay, all the wild unlocks and rewards, the ability to stand off against law enforcement and gangs (at the same time!) at full notoriety. Plus the ability to drive like a maniac and your cars keep traction, the planes and chopper races, taking over territories, the UFO, and a ton of other things that, in many ways remind me of San Andreas to this day. 2. SR2 actually took it up a notch in terms of insane gameplay. lol things like missions where you spray feces all over the city to devalue property while your AI allies chat about the most ludicrous things in your ear. Crib and automobile customizing is fantastic in that game, as is the huge plethora of personal customizing, abilities to choose your sex, voice, character, body type, features, makeup, and ethnicity and skin tone. To be honest, even without SR3 and IV raising the bar on wild insanity, if you factor those games out and pretend they never existed, SR2 is pretty over the top! It just doesn't seem that way by comparison. On topic: Totally with you about exploring San Andreas and finding new ways to beat the missions. One of the little challenges I like to do very early in the game is to stockpile ALL weapons I can before doing any missions after opening the Ganton crib. My little challenge is this: I break into the Los Santos airport and steal the Dodo, and fly it directly to the San Fierro Airport, a few feet away from where the homing RPG spawns. I then kill all the cops around and run to pick up the RPG and try to get back to my Dodo to take off and lose the automatic wanted level. Its not easy because not only are the cops firing, but the Hydras scramble and attack you. Then once I am in Red County, I either crash land on the grass and try to make my way over to the Pay 'n' Spray in Dilmore, or if I my Dodo is still in decent shape, I can usually fly it back to Ganton, land on the big circular driveway, and either run into my safehouse and save or land somewhere near another Pay 'n' Spray and steal a car to lose my wanted level.
