IMO Schafter V12s Aren't Worth It

Idk, missions aren't difficult to me. Seems any car suffices, don't even need an armored car in 99.8% of them.

Pretty long winded way of making a point that is obvious to anyone.

So yeah, I agree, it's not a workhorse

Still though the V12 Armoured is the bees knees

You have to say all that stuff or else people will pick your argument apart. Also its not obvious to everyone. A lot of people have disagreed with me on this topic.

I can do missions and drive around in free roam without cowering in my car, so I drive any damn car I please.

Considering my go-to mission car has been a Felon for ages, the Shafter V12 is a step up.

I prefer not to use an armored karuma in any situation. It removes any sort of challenge and I see players use it as a crutch way too often.

For stocks and scares, I block the side enterance (east side) with a Mesa and then decimate the enemies with a Buzzard inside the building..

^^ Love that approach (esp. as a Buzzard fan); gotta give it a try. :)

I LOVE this car! Not only is it very, very fast, but easy to manhandle with slides and drifting. I went with the slightly slower armored model, and it can take 2-3 rpg hits depending on the range. It's also one of the more affordable new cars too, it sits perfectly beside my Baller LE LWB.

Just use covers and be patient, rushing a mission is useless (since you get less money) and more dangerous. Try and time when the NPCs will pop up from cover since there's usually a pattern.

In missions like Titan of a Job, where you can see the NPCs from a distance, use your sniper and if they are in cover predict where their head will be when they pop out. In Titan of a Job be careful if you snipe from the middle of the runway because more often than not other players will run you over.

It is worth it. If you like German luxury sedans - or sedans in general -but want a bit more power, it's the best car to get. Currently it's the only car of it's type in the game. A real sports sedan. The only thing that comes close is the Exemplar. IMO, In case JRebbert's dumbass pops in to try and correct me.

You must not have heard....

The S-V12 is the new king in both Sports and Sedans.

How does this make sense if the Schafter V12 is not in the sedan class?

The armoured v12 is a sedan. the standard v12 is a sports class.

I absolutely agree. Obviously OP is not into full size cars apparently.

I hope Rockstar continues to add a couple more true sports sedans in the future.

I still want a new Pfister and I still want a new Panamera. Rockstar made a bold move to make the Schafter V12 have a higher top speed than the T20. I never thought they'd do that, let alone even add a real German sports sedan.

Maybe this is pushing it too far but you know the Porsche Panamera Turbo S? That thing is crazy fast. And the thing about it is that it's a Porsche, so it handles very very well. So if they ever gave us a new Pfister based on the Panamera, I honestly hope that they'd place it in the Supers Category. Because a lightning fast sedan that handles well is just as good as a mid-ranged super car.

Lol I know how to play. I just wanted to see that dude running around out in the open in freeroam, since he was talking so tough.

I actually love my Vanilla Schafter to death. Its the now number 2 sedan and one of the nicest looking cars in the game imo. And it was absolutely free since Simeon hooked it up.

Mb I thought you were talking about missions since you said you don't do free-mode pvp.

From my testing with an Armored Baller LE, the windows in free roam are pretty tough. Vehicles as a whole can withstand a blast from a Rhino even, on that note, while i was busy trying to take out The Beast one time, my Baller didn't get knocked around, yet my Insurgent was tossed all over the place.

I don't own an Armored V12 but i would assume it should still have the same traits. Imo, if you want a less childish armored car the Armored vehicles are the way to go.

I'm normally a pretty peaceful player and i suck at combat, but i've been driving around in my armored Schafter lately sticky-bombing people non-stop.

There's something funny about blowing people up while they hopelessly try to shoot you through the window.

People obviously haven't realized how the new armored cars work, because all they do is try to shoot you like it's a normal car.

And yes, the windows do work, they resist bullets for long enough to let you easily run someone over or blow them up. Or to just drive away if you're not an asshole.

If you're in a Kuruma people immediately take out their sticky bombs when they see you coming, if you're in an Insurgent people auto-aim you through the window, but with the Schafter there is no easy way to attack you.

Being real with you for a minute....

I replaced my armored Kuruma for one of the armored Shafters.

It's faster. Takes more of a punishment, and looks nicer, at the sacrifice of all-wheel-drive and better windows. Those windows are not BP on the Kuruma. The AI are decent at picking through them. Sure, you can usually wade into a sea of bodies and be fine, but they'll start to pick through them in time.

As well, I find that I'm better off at using my car to put me into advantageous positions (as GTA combat in auto-aim mode is al about positioning and timing), then getting out and doing the dirty work. I save on ammo, usually, and have the ability to be on target with explosives and heavy weapons if/when I need to be, should the need arise, rather than waiting ten seconds for bumblef*ck to get out of the car, shuffle through his asshole of holding, and heft a launcher.

This is why I truly believe the Zentorno is the best mission car. Its one of the fastest cars in the game in any class and nothing can get through the ass end of that vehicle.

Missions are now time coded so there is no need to rush.

My rpg disagrees.

Yes, but then you're looking at shortening your missions time (which, I mean, I don't give a sh*t, since VIP time doesn't tick down in missions, and I can slam an Extradition down, chill for a minute, grab a sightseer, then extradition again), risking losing a chunk of change if you accidentally the water/explosives/etc, and you're still stuck inside it, if you want the ass end of it to be most effective as cover (terminator AI have shot me through solid objects that I've been covered behind before).

By all means, play how you want. I'm just sayin.
