Can anyone confirm whether crate drops (whether special or "regular") are back for this update?

 

Though, if they are, they'll be rendered pointless by script kiddies in virtually every session insta-teleporting and collecting them...

 

No mention or sign of special crates.

Sounds like a good way to miss out on the snow too, cause I needed to restart to make all the Christmas stuff appear at the stores, so I wouldn't be surprised that the same will be needed to see the snow.

Could be the gift on one of the surprise gift days but nobody knows yet. The stocking has not been mentioned so may/may not be available again.

That was a gift from Rockstar you could only get last year, I believe it was available for a week or so.

it was a gift last year, so if you logged in on the day it was a gift then you should still have it. It was one of the only items from Christmas that has remained available all year for those who logged in on that specific day.

Ultimate Troll move by Rockstar. You can only get the Tampa by logging into their Twitch streams, and being one of the lucky few they give it away to. I would actually laugh at that just from the enormous amount of butthurt that'll spew from it.

was supposed to be for only xmas day,.. but they expanded it to a week because of the lizard squad taking servers down crap

Nope. Only those days last year but they added an extra day due to the hacking. 2013 snow was only on Christmas Day only.

 

Interesting that they haven't told us what days we're having it so far.

And they couldn't even turn on snow for last gen?

last year was lag city and that was before the big updates of this year so not surprised.....

What if the Tampa is already in the game, which it is, and Rockstar put it in the announcement, which they did, and the servers worked fine. Or if they didn't Rockstar would do what they did before and extend the period.

 

But this wouldn't be a forum if people didn't immediately jump to the least likely conclusions...

What if as you are driving your Tampa to LSC a falcon swoops down and scoops up your PS4. Just as likely.

 

 

A Warsaw Falcon? Could happen...

This is unlikely since they are switched off in game just now, no mention of a chance to pickup previous special items so far so we shall have to wait and

see if this happens.

Because R* really hates taking the fun route in anything, temporary.

 

Would be "too weird" for Santa to be running around normally.

 

Or fun and it would make certain players stand out amongst the generally bland character system they have but eh.
