We only got for New Year last year thanks to Lizard squad, don't get hopes up, I think Xmas Eve/Xmas Day is our lot this year.

Snow comes on Christmas eve, Christmas day, new years eve, and new years day as it has for the past 2 years

 

Actually first year it was just the 2 xmas days.

Might be able to make it last longer by staying in free roam without leaving your snow session but only delays the inevitable.

Rockstar gave us some extra days of snow after the "Lizard Squad Attack"

Can anyone confirm whether crate drops (whether special or "regular") are back for this festive surprise?

Though, if they are (at least on PC), they'll be rendered pointless by script kiddies in virtually every session insta-teleporting and collecting them...

 

As an aside: I can't help but wonder if the reason R* removed the armored car and smuggler planes was to "reincarnate" them into new VIP work/missions?
