I always try to kill the beast and usually end up using a hydra, because you have to cover a lot of distance real quick. Than the actual killing is kinda lame, o well.

I have never been the beast myself.

Every time I've turned Beast I've been on foot FWIW. Happy for someone to say otherwise.

 

It'd be much more fun if nothing could lock onto the Beast or its vehicle IMO. Too easy to find a Beast trying to blend in by just doing a search with lock-on missiles from above.

 

The vast majority of my Beast kills (and there have been plenty) were using a Savage or Hydra, and once a Buzzard. The Beast usually has to use a land vehicle to get to the spread-out checkpoints, and so even when they're off radar, if you know approximately where they are you can just fly around waiting for a missile lock to reveal their location.

 

Pro tip for those lucky enough to become the Beast: if you see a jet or helicopter icon within a couple blocks of you, whether or not you're on radar, you need to get out of your car, under some solid object (like in an interior, under a bridge, or in a tunnel) - and just hide until they move on. Resist the urge to use the homing launcher much, especially on jets - they'll see where it launches from and it gives you away. You just want to be protected until you're off radar, then give them enough time to think you've moved and fly away. Any other tactic, no matter how badass you think you are, stands a good chance of ending in your death - and I say this as a pilot who has taken out Beasts in cars, on motorcycles, on foot, and while trying to shoot me down.

 

The best strategy against attack helis and jets is not trying to kill them, or outrun them; it's using off radar to your advantage to confuse them, then going to the furthest-away checkpoint so that once you're on radar, they have to cover a lot of ground (and will hopefully lose you again by the time they get in the area).

Next time when you become the beast I recommend to go deep diving. As beast your breath will stay much longer as normal, near to five minutes. Its better than a submarine if you come from then to know to take a breath you can spend the hole 30minutes exploring the under water world. Not much to explore but it was some kind of funny.
