I finally got the Beast the other night first time since the Freeroam Events came out and not one single person chased me in a full lobby....

 

Made me sad, So maybe next time i'll try this...

I don't know what it achieves. Pads out your k/d ratio maybe, or enables you to have fun. I've got plenty of cash, so when get bored I sometimes stalk as the big angry invisible beast. Grrrrrrr

I love killing Beasts on the ground, 2 or 3 RPGs and some light dusting with the minigun. It gets the heart going.

 

But you'll struggle to sneak up on people because the growls are unmistakable (and the outfit kinda stands out).

It's fun to get a checkpoint every now and then and go in a funny direction afterwards. Noobs will follow each other in the general direction you were going for miles upon miles.

It'll make you show up on radar if you don't go for checkpoints after a few minutes.

Been the beast seven times now and only killed when I allowed my mate to kill me for cash.

 

But stealth kills? Pretty much impossible. The general public turn to terror whenever the beast is near, even if you are driving past them at high speed.

i say this in every lobby when its happening. if you are the beast and own a tank go get that bitch. go for the checkpoint with the most players and laugh as they go from being all badass to crapping their pants trying to run away. no tank icon on the map, no bs points and no insurance. its the most fun you can have in a tank since they patched it.

 

i got lucky and was the beast the first time it was available. havent been one since. it made me miss the days when me and my friends would take over a lobby in our tanks. before they were made out of paper.

Good to see some of you getting the humour in this post. I've been the Beast four or five times now - and I nearly always seem to get it - so the last time I decided to turn the tables in my Insurgent and shock people, out of nowhere. It's surprisingly good fun in a very immature way lol.

I did that that my first time as the beast. Just took a jolly old swim off the east side of the map by Humane labs. Then did some hilltop sightseeing and sauntered into Grapeseed. From there, took a high speed drive towards Zancudo. By then, someone was on me, but time ran out before I was killed.

Personally, I think its a bit of a selfish thing to do, to become the beast and not do the challenge that comes with it at all. Let someone else that want to do the challenge become the beast if you are only planning on getting off the radar... Instead, become a VIP do off the radar with lester and when its about to be over, do ghost organisation and there you go you have a 3 min of off the radar.

Someone here wrote you need to join the challenge when there's only few seconds left on the countdown. I tested it the first time I had that opportunity and indeed it worked, I became the beast.

Yeah I know... didn't know what to improvise for the 27 minutes remaining haha. Some people mention that you show up on the radar if you don't go to the landmarks. Not too sure about it cause usually the players that I saw, were rushing from a landmark to the next. They were pretty much showing on my radar the whole time, so I just wait a bit and kill them after a few landmarks to get about 20 000

Every time I've turned Beast I've been on foot FWIW. Happy for someone to say otherwise.

 

It'd be much more fun if nothing could lock onto the Beast or its vehicle IMO. Too easy to find a Beast trying to blend in by just doing a search with lock-on missiles from above.
