Sorry if wrong section or already asked .

Ive got some problems with KERS systems on lectro and vindicador.

It doesnt work

Mission, heist , freemode or whatever : no boost when pressing controller.

The turbo charge bar is full but no way to activate it

My controller is working fine the problem is not from that

Sometimes it works but its rare : and when it works its like differed action after pressing turbo.

I dont know what to do

It worked fine before

Your accelerator trigger isn't going in 100%. You need to take your controller apart and clean it, or buy a new controller.

I'm not just flippantly saying this - it's been an issue for other people and that's what it's always been.

No, it's not working fine. It's exactly as duder above said.

I've had this happen to me once

The button worked for everything else, horns were OK in other cars and I could sneak on foot

it's got to be KERS related

But its not accelerator trigger to activate

Its r3

If the accelerator isn't fully in, it won't boost.

You can remap the accelerator button to test.

Yeah, that. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

It's either a controller issue or a game issue. If it's a game issue everybody would have it and if it's a controller issue only you would have it

Ok i wil try something

Whats the best? Open the controller and clean it with something?

Do what gfen suggested first, just to make 100% sure (even though I actually am). Map the accelerator to a different button and see if that fixes it. If it does then you know it's the trigger. Incidentally, this has always (as far as I know) been on PS4. What are you playing on?

Miss Malevolent

I have had the same issue for months. I'll see if it's my accelerator not engaging all the way. I probably need a new controller.

Its a controller issue, some games dont require to press the trigger at full, i only noticed mine wasnt working 100% when i started playing RIDE when everyone flew by past me.

Re-map the control to verify. You can do this in the PS4 menus somehow, or you can simply select an alternate control layout within the game itself.

Once that's been proven, the actual problem is the little plastic foot on the right trigger has worn through the rubber stop over the button. I don't know how you actually fix that, but it's going to involve opening the Dualshock up and fidgeting with it. Be prepared for failure. I opened a DS3 once to clean it and never got it back together.

Yeah, the busted trigger is something that many players will never notice. Many games work flawlessly, but especially competitive racing games become very... Challenging.

I noticed that mine was busted when time trials came out on GTAO. I couldn't accept that i was 5 secs behind the time limit, and googling about restored the remainder of my self-esteem. (Did that time trial on first try with another controller. It didn't even feel faster, difference is very small)

It's a known issue with PS4 controllers that the L2/R2 button doesn't work properly anymore after a while. You can not fix this by cleaning, etc. You need a new controller. Sony recognized this problem and if you have a troubled controller you can just go the the store and get a new one in return for free.

The thing with the issue is that it gets gradually worse in the beginning you can still go to 98% but after a while it's only 90% anymore, and it gets worse and worse. I found it out with racing, raced a lot and couldn't keep up with friends/crew members with the same cars in a straight line, every week i was more and more behind. Took me a bit of time to find out what it was, didn't have KERS vehicles at the time to test.

Already had 2 controllers like this, got 2 new ones without any hassle, paperwork.

The KERS thing is a good thing to see if your controller still works properly, if the KERS works then everything is fine. 100% throttle is necessary in order for the KERS to work.
