VIP job bug, invisible players.

First of all, sorry for my English. Today, my friend, who was the VIP, put the mission "Piracy prevention" (in which you must defend the yacht). In the first few minutes I realized that it was not able to see my VIP and the other bodyguard, were invisible, their characters were invisible. I could see his shots or flares and nothing else. Then other players trying to board the ship were also invisible. Is not a glitch with invisble clothes, is a bug with a invisble players. After the mission, I left the game to fix the error.

 

I don't got a good video to apreciate the bug...

I will save any legit players that have the invisible bug a lot of time with R* support and cut down to the source:

Most probably it is a R* server bug.

Anyone having this issue should first:

-Restart game.

-Verify game files on Steam or from DVD.

-Then enter the DIRECTOR MODE, and go to the CASTING TRAILER. If your online character is visible, all is good. If not, enter as invisible payer, and get killed. Restart game once more. Enter casting trailer once more. Still invisible? Then contact R* support with a private ticket(posting on their forum will not get you anywhere).

It might take you a few days to get past the automated(or copy/paste) replies.

But once you know you are actually talking to someone, keep insisting that this is a R* server bug. The character's online saves has become corupted. If they prompt you to start a mountainload of technical troubleshooting on your system, be presistent and say it is not a local file bug. The online character saves are on R* servers, not on your pc/console.

I had this problem. The R* support ticket is now 3 pages and 4 weeks long. In the end a delete and remake of the character was needed. They are supposed to be able to save a backup of all your inventory. But you will loose skills, racepaints, tattoo unlocks, etc. But just to be safe take screencaptures(or video) of all your cars in each garage, pegasus vehicles menu, houses, etc. If something goes wrong, you will have proof of your inventory.

 

I keep saying "you" but this was your friend. Anyway, hope whoever have the invisibility bug gets it solved by one of the first quick 3 checkpoints above, and does not need to go into the long journey I had.

I was not invisible. The VIP, the other bodyguard and the other players who wanted to board the yacht were invisible. See coming a seashark without driver was very funny. I made this post to see if anyone else got the same error. I know, restarting the game I fix the bug.

Yes its the ghost mission perk, I think it lasts two minutes. Its expensive though, 7,000 dollars as I recall.

My VIP expired last night so I cant confirm right now.

Okay, I know that my english is bad, but it's clear what I say: The characters of the players of the session were invisible. Finish.

Its obvious op, you can't see dead people. No but srsly It sounds like an interesting bug, I wonder if you were invisible to everybody else.
