NPC Frustration & Intolerance Revenge

I'm chasing the level 109, who has been bugging my friend, through the streets of Los Santos, and just when I'm about to catch him and run him off the road, an NPC car goes out of his way to turn into me, from two lanes out, and hit me head on.

Or I'm on foot, trying to evade the cops and I hijack a Futo, except that as I'm about to get into the car, I get hit by an NPC driving by, who then stops and pins me between cars, so I take forever to get back up, only to be shot by cops.

There's a tolerance point for these NPCs which eventually leads to frustration and inevitably, REVENGE.

What are some of your more outlandish, cruel, and "mental state altering" methods of dealing with these clueless NPCs who seem to be programmed to go out of their way to cause us annoyance at every opportunity?

For me, while driving, I really enjoy following them and harassing them. Shooting their tires or back windows, bumping them into oncoming traffic, etc.

On foot, I love to run into them, knocking them over, and herding them when they get back up to run into traffic where they get hit by another NPC.

My favorite, though, is ramming a renegade NPC driver's car onto the sidewalk into other pedestrian NPCs. Makes me chuckle every time!

Anyhow, just curious to see how you enjoy dealing with what Rockstar has given us as far as AI goes. Cheers!

Making them slide on the road while hanging at the door handle of their car that I just stole.

Making them run behind their stolen car is fun too

These are old from the PS3, but they still apply here.

I shoot them, lay them down on the floor and play the ketchup game with the help of any weapon available. The corpse who has more wins a rocket

Grab an Insurgent and ram their cars as fast as possible, hopefully you'll blow up a few if you ram them against a wall or a sidewalk.

I kill npc's as soon as they piss me off. I dont spend any extra time doing it though. Just pop em and go about my business.

If an npc crosses me with their annoying behaviour which is deliberately programmed, I stop their car, kill them with the assault shotgun and then burn their bodies. I got zero tolerance towards them.

I rarely chase players.

My two year old son throws a happy fit everytime I scroll past a post of yours. "Spiderman dady, spiderman!" true story.

If I wasn't a lazy c*nt I was going to do a supercut of 2 or 300 times an NPC had f*cked me over for no obvious reason.

My particular annoyance is doing a long run-up for some fancy stunt or other, and an NPC vehicle just clips me at the last second, ruining the whole thing. More often than not if I'm concentrating on a stunt then I'll be in passive, so since I can't shoot them, as a punishment I pull them from their car, push them over with it and then park on top of them, with their legs sticking out from underneath. It's become almost ritual.

when the cops are in pursuit THE NPCs seem to morph (agent smith style) into vigilante road blocks, often crossing lanes of traffic to do so. i view them all as cops out of uniform and don't feel in any way bad about taking the insurgent for a tour of LS pavements (sidewalks). i also enjoy dragging the worst of them from their cars and burning them in the street as an example to other NPCs.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

i go to my local toy store (ammunation) and get alot of christmas gifts. then i go to a very crowded area and start giving out free gifts. usually they are dying for free stuff. then they line up and and they all lay down enjoying their new gift. i go home knowing i did a good deed.

I usually just beat them with my fists. If they run and get too far, I switch to my rifle and kneecap them. Then run up to them with my fists out again.

I call that "a regular monday after finishing the time trial".

Usually it ends with one of the following:

  • I terrrorize the populace in a Hydra, looking for the biggest traffic column to blow up.
  • I team up with one or more friends and we start a citywide rampage in a Valkyrie or Insurgent Pick-Up.
  • I sneak up on unsuspecting citizens in my slasher outfit and test a variety of melee weapons.
  • I shoot at a civilian car (often something with more power than grip). If nothing happens I shoot out a tire. If still nothing happens I blow it up with a few shots at the tank. If the NPC flies into a panic and causes crashes with other NPCs he gets to live... for a while.
  • Our crew invades some space (Altruist camp, Fort Zancudo etc.) where a lenghty massacre is inevitable.

Sometimes good things happen unintentionally. One time I was on my way to a heist objective with my Insurgent at high speed when a Futo decided to cross the street juuuust at the right moment. The impact sent the little car flying into a nearby parking lot where it exploded killing a few bystanders. I laughed until I had tears in my eyes.

Stabbing...battering them to death with a club at the beach.....loads of fun.

Or using the marksman pistol.

Or shooting gasstanks.

Or sniping them from roofs...

Im sometimes sad there is no schoolyard....i then coud reinact a school shooting

A late night visit to the Playboy Mansion with a golf club is satisfying. Don't forget the gas can to burn the evidence!

I didn't even have to look at the name to know you wrote this! LOL!!

It's the single most annoying aspect of stunting. That rogue Asterope or Patriot pulling out, right in the path of your line.

I've often gone completely off-handle when a stunt has gone awry because of this.

Which is not like me, at all. Well... sometimes, maybe. :)
