Can someone detail vip and bodyguard mode for me?

I don't see a thread about this.

What exactly is a vip and bodyguard?

What benefits are there to being both?

How do you make money and how much does either one make?

Cheers.

Idk about bodyguard but

VIP lasts for 4 hours, has a 12 hour cool down (real time). The 4 hours freezes when you join a job or aren't on GTA. You can hire bodyguards. There's VIP work and VIP challenges. The VIP work is pretty much free roam missions. VIP challenges are, I would say, like free roam challenges. There's one called Most Wanted and it gives you and your bodyguards 5 stars and tests how long you last. You can fire bodyguards, you can change their outfits (and yours). You have VIP abilities where you can spend money on a buzzard to spawn, and some other variety of things. They aren't coming to mind right now. That's all I can really think of. If you die while VIP your bodyguards wages are cut tho bc they didn't protect you.

Cheers man.

Do you pay for the bodyguards out of your own money or do they earn mission money?

IMO. The best part of VIP or bodyguard is the ability for buzzard to spawn right next to you. Awesome. (No need to go to helicopter pad)

They just get money. The VIP doesn't have to pay anything.

No they are not paid with your money, I tested this with three body guards and when they were paid I did not have any money deducted from my account, nor had a withdrawal show up in the bank statement.

No. SecureServ pays them. The money you earn as VIP or Body guard is sharable too.

They spawn free if you own one, same with everything else (I'm guessing everything anyway, the veh''s I already own spawn free)

If you own the vehicles from the vip ability list, they are free of charge for your organization to use.

Throwing out unlimited bullshark is amazing too. Try it. Also, two minute off radar in combination with lester off radar for a total of three minutes. Edited by Smooth Longsack

You know, I have been playing since launch (old gen) and have never tried bullshark. Not even sure what it does lol

If the vip dies you get less money, it about 5k every 10 min or so if the viper stays alive and you get rpt for being close to the vip.

Bullshark boosts your damage resistance and output so it's kinda similar to Trevor's ability

As a bodyguard you will gain insane rp if you stay close to your vip and do vip work with him. If you are playing as a vip you should watch out because it seems like everyone else in the lobby will try to kill you

So you only get 30K for an hours work? Why would anyone even bother?

You can earn extra money by doing the VIP work or challenges. Sightseer (I think it's called) is really easy. It takes about 8 - 10 mins in a buzzard and can earn you about $20k. That along with the other modes can earn you a fair bit of money once you figure out a method to do them all.

Also, if any of the bodyguards compete in a free roam event (or sell a car), the VIP gets a sizable chunk of the money. I'm not sure of the actual percentages.

If you're No.1 on a free roam event and you receive a VIP invite, be wary. He might fire you once he's taken money from you.

Coincidentally, from experience, there seem to be two types of VIPs:

1) Those who actually run VIP events. These are the best; by competing in these you can earn about the same money as a contact mission, along with your bodyguard pay every 15 minutes. These types of VIPs are the ones worth hanging around with.

2) Jerks who want nothing more than some support to attack / troll other players. The last VIP I protected like this kept calling my character a 'sexy woman' and said he wanted to make me his wife. He then screamed obscenities at me because while he was busy crashing / flipping his Insurgent I couldn't get a clean shot on a Lvl 6 we were chasing. As soon as we returned to his yacht for 'Jacuzzi sex' I quit his organisation and blew his f***ing head off. Felt good.
