How can I edit the appearance to an existing character?

My main character is level 121, and I own lots of really expensive and stylish cars that I don't want to lose by creating a new character.

 

Is there a way for me to edit the appearance of her?

 

When I created it, I rushed through because my friends were waiting, and I don't like how she looks. I remember reading somewhere that if you submit a ticket, R* will unlock the edit character in the character creation, and it's been a week and nothing has happened. Is there a glitch that is still working that will allow me to permanently change the appearance?

For a timely response, you need to select Bug/Glitch/Exploit when submitting a ticket.

 

Alternatively, you can glitch to access the Character Creator. You will need a second, empty slot in order to do this glitch.

 

1. If you have a free slot, create a new character in that slot and rank them up to Rank 6.

2. Quit GTA Online and return to Story Mode.

3. From Story Mode, relaunch GTA Online with the character you have just created (Pause > Online > Choose Character). You will get a prompt asking you if you would like to edit your character.

4. Sign out of PSN/XBL, disconnect your ethernet cable, or disable your modem/router. You will be asked to return to Story Mode.

5. Sign back into PSN/XBL, reconnect your ethernet cable, or reconnected your modem/router.

6. From Story Mode, relaunch GTA Online with the character you would like to edit. You should get a prompt asking if you would like to edit that character.

Thanks for the reply. I can't remember what I submitted the ticket under, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, I can't get it to work on PC right now (the Social Club client seems to mess with the glitch). Your best bet at the moment would be to 'bump' your existing ticket as mentioned above.

Glad to hear the everything worked out. I too edited my character tonight via R* Support. I was fortunate to have them reply within 4 hours.

I did something similar. After a certain update people had problems with getting faces that looked like travestites when putting on masks.

Didn't had that problem myself, but I used that bug to get them to help me change my character by saying I got a mangled face after putting on a mask. They helped me right away.

Correct, they are no longer accepting courtesy requests. You can try to convince them otherwise by indicating that your character's face has glitched.
