Possible Radio-related Crashing

Hey guys, I've got a Steam copy of GTA SA, I'm using Silent's ASI loader, SilentPatch, SkyGFX, WidescreenROF, Widescreen Fix, and GInput on my copy. No asset replacement mods, only the scripts listed.

I've been having what seems like random crashes, but then I started to realise that it was vehicle related when I realised I've never had the game crash while on foot. I noticed that my most recent crash involved stealing a Perennial, tuning to K-DST, then hearing the radio tune/static noise take too long and the game crashed.

I have a feeling it's related to the Steam version missing some songs (ie. I think Runnin' Down a Dream was "playing" on K-DST and it couldn't find the file). The problem is, I like K-DST. Is there any way I can tell the game not to look for the missing songs, or possibly restore them?

Did you have the problem before you started installing the mods?

This section of the Forum is for UNmodded game play.

No idea, but I downgraded the game earlier to 1.0 to restore those songs and I haven't had a single crash yet, so I guess the issue was indeed down to it trying to call on things that didn't exist.

Yes, that sounds like it.

"Downgrading" is only changing the code to remove the programming that BLOCKS the use of V1 Modifications to the game.

It does not address already missing data.

Use the "User Tracks" to restore missing music (not to the radio stations).

Actually, the one I used did restore the songs. The first car I got into after downgrading had Runnin' Down a Dream playing, then I switched and heard Express Yourself. But either way it's solved now, and I finally have a stable "base" of SA to put mods on.
