gta_rulez
Hi everyone! I just received my first ever gaming laptop that is able to run almost every game. Before I only played on PlayStation consoles. What games have I missed during the last decade (or more) and should I really play?
CReaper210
What games do you like? FPS - Insurgency. It's a great realistic shooter. It was a deal yesterday for $2 but it's back at $15 now. I'd say still completely worth that price tag though. Counter Strike global offensive if you like fast paced competitive shooters. I'm not really into it, personally, but it's so popular and comes up everywhere I go. The Stalker games(with the "complete" mod to fix the general issues with the game) for single player open world RPG/survival gameplay RTS - Starcraft 2, the best RTS ever made IMO. Great campaign gameplay, though the story was disappointing IMO. Has great custom games for crazy maps/scenarios. Warcraft 3, second best RTS? Great story mode. Same deal with custom games as in Starcraft 2. C&C collection. Just all of them. Most of them are great. A few are duds, but most are good. Company of Heroes 1 and 2. World in Conflict Universe at War Grey Goo Homeworld Remastered Divinity Dragon Commander Turn based- Civilization 5 Xcom Enemy Unknown Even if you're not into turn based games(I wasn't), you might still like these games. Super addicting and fun. These two games will keep you up all night, whether that ends up being a good thing or not, IDK. RPG - Spellforce series Gothic series Witcher series(3 is on console, but 2 is only Xbox 360 and 1 is PC only). These are what I remember most, personally. Either I recently played them or they just left a good impression on me from when I last played. I tried to limit my list to PC only games since I assumed you probably played tons of console games already. A couple of them, like C&C and Universe at War, are on consoles, but I really don't see how anyone could play an RTS on a console. As But as you can see, I mostly play RTS games on PC. To be honest, I much prefer playing games on my consoles unless it's an RTS, so there's lots of great games on consoles too that I didn't list. Presidential
The first thing you should do (imo) is get a Steam account and download the client. You can then search through categories to find a game you wanna play. Be careful, though. Always, always, always read reviews and maybe even do a Google search before getting a game. If you're unsure about your hardware, do some more searching and make sure it's compatible. Even then, though, a lot of games are just poorly optimized for the computer. If you're into mmos, a simple Google search is your best option there if you're as picky as I am with games. Remember, read reviews and make sure everything is compatible. Don't be that person that buys a game only to find out he can't even run it.
