May have found a hole in the yacht air defenses

A player took his Hydra to is yacht and went inside the cabin. I got tired of waiting for him to come out and fight again so I decided to steal the Hydra and have the yacht defenses blow it up.

 

I swam to the yacht, stole the Hydra and started climbing vertically. The yacht defenses started firing and shells exploding but none seemed to hit or damage the Hydra. Surprised by that, I continued to climb perfectly vertically in vtol mode up past 1000 feet before flying horizontally. No damage was done to the Hydra. I was able to fly halfway across the map before Pegasus reclaimed it.

 

I've tried to replicate this apparent coverage hole by decending from 1000 feet down to the front helipad but have not been successful.

 

Is there actually a safe zone directly above the front helipad, or was this because it was a pegasus vehicle or some other glitch?

If this is an error, which it probably is, remember that the hydra was already at the yacht. It's not like you where flying towards it that way, which you have already tried.

 

Most of the time the yacht isn't going to be destroying jets flying away from it.

Maybe it was because it was the dudes pegasus vehicle.

Had an issue like this other day.

 

Appears if you are flying away from the Yacht it will open fire but misses, flying towards it or horizontal to it, will end up as tiny bits scattered in the ocean.
