Online needs new mode to make rich kingpins out of the best content cr

I have GTA V on my PS3. Havnt played in months. I now have a PS4, but see no reason to buy the game again if they wont reward me in game for adding quality content to the game. I actually paid $20 for a shark card, and would again if the game rewarded me for what I put into it.

I want to see ways for the best creators to get rich via a Street Racing Empire, or Job Kingpin. Name it whatever, but if Im actually GOOD in the creator, and create jobs people like and play, I should be one of the richest in game for adding to the game content.

In addition to playlists, we should get to create Tournament Playlists. Tournament Sponsor, thats you, has to add a Playlist prize from their own wallet. Players still get the standard payouts each race/round, but winning the playlist (aka STAYING for the whole playlist) gets you the grand prize supplied by the sponsor. Sponsor can enter his own races/jobs (because thats the point of creating, playing content you made and enjoy). The key differences is adding PRACTICE LAPS or rounds. When I was in an uptight creator crew, they all said I was evil for winning my own races. I wasnt winning to run up my win total, sometimes I got beat by 1st timers to my own tracks, but I mainly enjoyed my high quality tracks and made people earn their wins. So to be fair, each race in a Tournament Playlist gets 2 practice laps, and then the real money laps start fresh with a restart of the field. This gives newcomers a chance to get a good feel for the turns and obstacles and have a legit chance at winning. Same for jobs, 2 practice rounds, so everyone has a chance to play both sides, then start the money rounds.

As Tournament Sponsor, you make money back by getting a percentage of the total prize pot you put up for every player that completes the playlist. For current gen of 30 players, lets say an 8% cut. You put up 100k, you get 8k per player that finishes. So if you finish 2nd or worse, because only 1st pays the grand prize, but 30 players finish, you net a profit of 140k (8k X 30 =240k-100k=140k). You gotta spend money to make money, and you must provide good content, and you must balance the total Tournament Playlist game time to money received to make players want to stay till the end. You also have to pay a 5k fee per track or job in the tournament. But if the race or job is yours, no fee. If other players want to use your races/jobs in their Tournament playlist, they pay 5k each that goes into YOUR wallet. So it pays to run your own creations, and have others like and use your stuff too. Tournament playlists have to be a minimum of 4 races or jobs, minimum of 3 money laps per race (remember 2 practice laps are mandatory), and minimum of 5 min per round, minimum 3 rounds per job (2 practice rounds mandatory). Some fair formula of mandatory tournament time spent where you have to invest about 40 minutes for the sponsor to get his investment back.

Also, Downvotes should go away. Either Up vote or no vote. Downvote gets abused by sore losers who know they just raced an awesome created race or job, but downvote because they lost.

Also, Vote to Kick is enabled at the end of each race/round. If you get 1/3 of the total room voting to kick you for racing like a douche, or not pulling your weight in a round and AFKing, you're gone that round. It still hurts the overall income of each player to reduce the tournament participants, because each round of regular winnings is based on the amount of people playing. So its to your advantage to see a full room finish to max the per race regular payouts in addition to the grand prize if you get it. And if a tournament lasts an hour or more of playtime, you'll really want to maximize winnings for every minute spent, so hopefully players wont abuse the kick vote, and you only get 1 kick vote per round. The host certainly wont want to kick if he doesnt have to, because his profit is based on how many finish the tournament. If not enough finish, he could take a LOSS on his tournament investment. Tournament sponsor has to get 2/3 of the room voting to kick him, if he cheats or plays awful. But if you kick the sponsor, the tournament ends right there, he gets his prize money investment money back, and players just walk away with per round regular winnings. If you're a douche host cheating to win your own tournament, you'll never get people to stay in your tourny to give you enough finishers. If Tournament is halfway over, sponsor is on the hook for prize money, he cant just scuttle the tournament after halfway if players drop out and he sees he wont make a profit.

This gives the best creators incentive to keep creating quality content players WANT to finish, and forces tournament sponsors to to properly balance dollars per minute of their tournament sizes. If its crap content, you'll never make a profit.

This type of system helps creators get their jobs played more, and rewards players in game for adding to the longevity of the online game.

I would really like this. I have a Notepad file filled with notes about an Abigail Racing League - an actual GTA racing league with real placements and circuit points on tracks I built myself. I would even be fine with paying the winners copious amounts of GTA$ out of my own pocket (probably just buying shark cards and giving the codes). As much as I'd like to actually create it, though, I know nobody would be interested so I just let the notes sit.

As for the voting, I think it's never worked. People 'like' when they win and 'dislike' when they lose. I have pretty high ratings on my tracks because I let people win to get them.

Overall, the system you're suggesting has some issues - giving GTA$ as prizes has always been an issue from player-to-player, as players with glitched money have simply used it before in things like Crew Challenges. People would make a 1-race playlist that takes 2 minutes and put a $200,000 prize on it. But otherwise I think it works well and I'd like to see it.

You forgot the part where I said the Tournament had to be a minimum of 40 min playtime to pay out. Voting has no part in my idea, it just needs to change in general. The only voting that matters in my expansion is kick votes. Set the prize money so that you need 40 min to award 100k, and 80 min to award 200k, and set the limits like that. You can play longer, but you cant make a million prize, and double that every tournament. It does have to be reasonable, but it should be able to pay more if a player wins the Tournament playlist than if they spent their 40 minutes playing regular jobs. This way randoms can see a tournament playlist, see the prize, and jump in like they do for Heists. And if the jobs are fun, they stay and compete, with practice laps and rounds making it much easier for anyone to win the tournament. Ive noticed its too hard organizing decent length playlists even with crews. Rockstar needs to make it much easier and fair for creators to bribe randoms for created content play, and make it fair for everyone to join new and win. Ive given up being in GTA crews, theyre all unreliable or too control happy to let newcomers with quality missions get their tournaments played within weeks of joining.

All that would do is hand it to the youtubers and the owners of big crews as they'd get everyone to upvote their stuff, we already know that's how the varified stuff gets picked rather than actual quality.

Dewtech you're not understanding what Im proposing. Most players have jobs they want a full field of randoms to play in them. We've all seen crews are not reliable to all meet at a certain time per week. My idea makes a full field of players for your playlist, properly incentivized with money, and forced to win fair or be kicked mid playlist. Tournament Playlists will be more popular than Heists because the well made races and jobs will guarantee fun, and it wont matter so much if the others are clueless, especially for races where you only need to rely on your skills to win big paydays per hour. Rockstar isnt making more Heists, so they need another fair system to get all the GREAT creator content out there sitting and rotting and in the hands of randoms too see how well made and fun it is. Likes and YouTube videos wont matter now, because you either have to be ON when those tournaments get hosted and pop up, or plunk down the prize money yourself and host it. Id like for players to be able to bookmark entire tournament playlists, that way others run your tournament with your settings, and pay you 5k per job used to run it. Rockstar wont Verify whole playlists, so who cares if they never see it for verifying. Most quality creators gave up being verified, we just want our content played with full rooms. And only MONEY tempts players to fill a room.

Wouldn't work due to people losing connection all the time. 40 mins, without connection problems for everyone involved? Not gonna happen

And your not understanding how f*cking dumb 95% of the playerbase is, some big youtuber would create a playlist and fill it with his tag alongs, get them all to give it as high a rating as anything good and then it'd win it for them, every time. You'd just see a massive increase in the crap ones we already have.
