Why Have Both? (V12)

What's the justification for owning both the V12 and V12 armoured?

I bought the V12 and I'm a big fan with its four doors and good looks plus custom interior.

However I recently bought the armoured version because it turns out being VIP with your bodyguards garners a lot of attention from players and their explosives.

So now I'm only calling the armoured variant and using that, and my V12 is starting to collect dust.

Is there any reason I shouldn't sell the V12?

i woud consider buying one for doing heists and freeroaming in most situations while using the other when coming across a stickie bomb noob, rpg noob or just when chasing people level 30 or higher having bounties

also the idea to own both the fastest 4 door car and the fastest armored car....i do personaly not get what woud justify owning the armored baller for an example, unless maybe for gta races in the suv class.....wich might again be interesting to own the armored v12.....to do gtaraces with it

V12 for speed, looks and cruising

V12 Armoured for sedan races and not getting the sh*t kicked out of you

The unarmored v12 is one of the fastest car in the game, it could be handy in highest top speed free roam challenge, but it's not quite race worthy. If you are considering selling it, do it.

I, on the other hand, only keep the armored one for sedan races.

I have both because I love both. True FR is even more of a war zone now but I love how my blacked out armoured one looks and I love how the normal one looks and performs. I'll use both.

Same reason people have an armored kuruma and a regular one.

The regular one is fun to drive and off-road with, it's quicker, it looks nice, etc.

The armored one is more for free roam and missions, not exactly for fun, but rather for work.

In answer to your first question, you don't need to justify what you want or like.

In answer to your second question, it sounds like you already made your decision considering the unarmored one is gathering dust.

Personally I don't feel the need for both. I like the armored one cause you sacrifice a little speed for more protection.

I think you've kinda come to that conclusion as well.

one might consider having a sultan then.

The unarmored one is sheer fun to drive. It has power, speed and just enough traction and stability for you to remain in control, and it looks stylish.

The armored version is obviously safer to drive in public free roam, is a bit slower but still lightning-quick, is considerably more stable but is less of a thrill to drive if you ask me. The blacked-out grille is beautiful, but that is canceled out by the rather ugly side armor plating.

Ultimately, if you are adamant on keeping just one I'd recommend the armored version, but what's the fun in that?

Its a lot faster than the armoured version..

The armoured version is 1 second slower around a track and .5 mph slower top speed. Not really a lot slower.

V12 is quicker in terms of cornering because the Armoured version is heavier. They both have almost identical top speed, but I'm not sure about acceleration. The Armoured also grants protection obviously.

I bought the V12 so I can paint it metal aluminium, put metallic ice white and copy the CL63 AMG in-game. Looks so nice when cruising in missions or on the motorway.

Armoured version doesn't appeal to me. The things in the doors look quite ugly and ruins the exterior of the car. Other than that, it's a decent car for everyday use.

Buford T Justice

Considering weight is 99.9999% useless in this game, there is no reason.

The fully armored version is just a tiny bit slower. It's like adding thousands of pounds to a car does almost nothing to performance...

Haven't had the chance to try it myself but how do the V12 and LWB compare? Both non armored.

Very big difference. In fact, the LWB performs worse than the original Schafter that was already present in the game prior to the update.

Thanks for the responses peeps :beerhat:

Having weighed up the pros and cons, I didn't think it would happen but I'm thinking I'm selling the V12. I'll get $200k back, but I dunno I mean I don't really need the money but I don't like having cars with no use.

Here are my V12s. You'll see why I'm struggling to sell the V12. That white/blue looks dope

Adding armour actually adds a significant amount of weight to your car - which reduces overall performance...but it's really only worth owning both if you a) race frequently, b) are a gear head or c) love the car so much that you simply can't live without another! :)

EDIT: I should just note...with the Schafter V12 - the armoured/non-armoured variants are actually in different classes (Sedan/Sports) ..so racers (again) may wish to own both (certainly the Armoured Schafter V12 - it DOMINATES the Sedans Class...quite why they did this, only R* knows!)
