I know my topics are usually pretty negative, so maybe I'm not one to talk, but this kind of reeks of b*tch and moan.

 

I mean, at least my points (in a recent thread) were valid, and it was written fairly well. This is 99% ranting.

 

Why not complain about the poor matchmaking and lack of dedicated servers, instead of "yachts are pointless" and "I don't like it when people leave early"? And for your information, however expensive my yacht was, and however few things there are to do on them, I like it. Getting to spawn away from everyone, and with a helicopter nearby, is great. The defense system is cool too.

Lack of new contact missions, lack of dedicated servers (as mentioned above), lag, 2 years and no expansion/DLC and nothing for the single player side of the game are probably a lot more concerning.

I don't know what this update did but its ruined Deathmatchs completely you cant even shoot like before everything is more delayed and it feels like they have added a new recoil which is horrendous. Add that to the fact everyone wears helmets and just shoots bare RPG's we may as well say R.I.P to deathmatches. To me this is gutting i used to love playing Deathmatches now i don't even want to join one.

- If you dont have the money for a yacht you have a choice of buying shark cards. I don't know if its just me but i find the prices of those shark cards laughable at best. Seriously £80 quid it would cost you to buy 10 million dollars worth of in game money to then go and buy the best yacht you can get. Nothing in this world can warrant spending your hard earnt cash to that effect. NOTHING and greed comes to mind. Sorry but its the truth.

 

- What is the real point of these yachts? we can move them. We cant sell them and we cant do any game modes with them. In other words they are a complete waste of money in my opinion. all they act as is a save point.

 

- Loading screens in between jobs are horrendous sometimes i can make two or three cups of tea while a wait. WTF? nothing wrong with my net and i run through Ethernet. I really cant be assed to wait around in black screens because a game has so much in it it takes forever to load.

 

- Players leaving jobs is another issue that pisses me right off. Why join if you're gunna leave once you realise how sh*t you are? either don't bother joining or there should be harsher penalty's towards these selfish butthurt people. They are allowed to join and leave way to easily in my opinion and it has potential to ruin a whole job for everyone else.

 

- The amount of jobs i join on call which are labelled $10000000000 + 20000000RP DM or Gggggggggggg or 8000000000rp $$$$$$$ or race200000000rp plus $$$$$$ or RP! INFINI ET $$$$$$$ its a JOKE and I'm fed up with it. All I had to read was the first paragraph about the DMs and the aiming being so off.

Someone started a thread about this last week and the consensus was that people were just "rusty" and I was like, F' that, I know it's not me.

The mechanics just off a bit.

The best way to put it is that it seems like I'm permanently on Auto Aim Partial when I'm used to it functioning exactly the way I like in Auto Aim Full.

Last night I quit a DM because the mechanics were off and some guy was running around just arms and head. lol.

I added number in front of the point you stated so its easier to follow when I answer them

 

1- I've been on GTA online since day 1. I wanted a yacht from the beginning, cause i figured it was the only way that rockstar could give us a personnal helipad. The yacht is a high end luxury thing. If you don't have enough money right now it will come eventually, you don't HAVE to buy a sharkcard to get one.

 

2- Like I said, with a yacht you get your own personal helipad (or 2), It makes players making use of the water areas of the map. The activity Piracy Prevention that they added as a VIP work is awesome and it takes place on the yacht.

 

3- Loading screen are in fact bad and since the last update I experienced a lot more lag then usual in lobbies. But on the other hand, rockstar are trying to add more and more activities that takes place in a free mode lobby. You can do the free mode events and all the VIP works, challenges without any loading screen. You can also make a pretty good payout with these activities, especially the VIP thing.

 

4- When someone leave at the beginning of a activity, its most of the time connection problems or they realise they loaded in a activity they don't like. People leaving during happen most of the time when the host put a ridiculous amount of time/laps and the activity will last for 10-20 minutes. There is also butthurt people I will give you that. Maybe Rockstar could make it that it gives you even more ''Bad Sport'' when you leave during a activity.

 

5- New filter added with last DLC. Awesome with races. No more WALLRIDE LOOP JUMP OVER THE WHOLE MAP. I can now enjoy hitting quickjoin and i'll be in a great Rockstar created or verified race. I don't really play deathmatch but its kind of the same thing.

 

6- Don't understand what you mean to be honest. Crew are a great way to get together and meeting new friends.

 

7- On xbox one i see people really high lvl from time to time but they are really rare. I think its more of a PC problem thing then on CG to be honest.

 

8- I didn't mess around in the creator since the last update, but in general never really had a problem with the creator

...now, if that could buy me a million dollars in GTA:Online, I'd probably throw the loose change Rockstars way - but it's £10 (the price of a decent indie game) for GTA$500,000 - but I can easily earn $500k in a day?! ...I'd rather buy an indie game - and my loose change can't buy me anything, so I'll be spending that elsewhere also

See it's like this. Cash cards like that are for suckers. They're for people who just have to have that new shiny thing right now, even though they'll be regretting it/looking to sell it in a month. Suckers overpay for things that most people get for free, that's what makes them suckers.

The sad truth is the only people likely to succeed in gtao are cheaters, rich people who can afford to waste over £80 on sharkcards or people with sad lives to grind in all their spare time. I'm none of them which is why I can't ever remember having more than a million and even now I still only have half a million. That's why I can never own really cool things but at least I can say I earnt me money the hard way and to be at level 194 I can say I've had fun which most people seem to have forgotten with GTA V. I don't ever remembering in IV having all this sh*t. We just blew the hell out of each other for hours and that was good enough for me and most others. Now the next gen of kids are coming in and all they care about is owning things which will only get forgotten about when the next gta comes out.

Normally I would agree with you, but with these weird connection problems I'm having right now I can barely stay connected. I can't tell you how many times I've joined a lobby only for everyone to leave or to actually start a mission and find no one else made it, or sometimes I have somewhere to go but figure I have time to kill but end up having to leave in the middle of a mission.

 

How are they a joke? Just because you don't find it fun, doesn't mean they don't. Maybe you should spend some time asking the people from crew you want to join what they are about

Man,I was wondering If it was just me. I came back to game after laying off for a month or so and I swear the movement is way more sluggish than it used to be. I figured since I was playing other games for a while that maybe GTA had always been like this and I just got used to it since I played so much. But now I'm kind of wondering if something has changed, cuz I mean the movement of my character just made it seem like somethings way off. This was not in a DM though, just in free roam messing around. Even just turning the camera around seemed way slow to me and button presses had this weird delay. Might have to tweak sensitivity again.

I don't have any intentions on owning a yacht.

 

I honestly never really enjoyed death matches online, they feel unbalanced, but I play heists and missions.

 

I can't see a difference in shooting, which weapon have you noticed the change the most?

 

Shark cards, I really have nothing to say. I'm sure R* has their method and it's played in their favor. I've purchased two or three, but don't intend on purchasing more unless I get free credits somewhere on PSN or something.

 

I've been playing since launch, nearly daily, 5 or so hours online. I haven't played any other game, I haven't complained, just dealt with the flaws and appreciated it for what it had . It's still a masterpiece!

I believe that there were some changes made to weapons during one of the updates; like I think the Autoshotty got nerfed. I'm coming back after a 10 month hiatus from GTA, I pretty much got on downloaded DLC and bought goodies and turned the game off; so my knowledge of weapon changes is limited.

 

I hear so many complaints about shark cards, but look at Destiny, I've already shelled out $140 in 10 months for this game (and they had the nerve to add microtransactions). You have to buy the DLCs or you can't progress in the game. At least on GTA you can totally ignore shark cards and still have the ability to get what you want in the game. I honestly wish they would introduce true microtransactions for clothing, special time-limited items, etc. Everyone has the same damn thing, there's no real way to stand out.

 

Two days after I transferred to PS4, I ran into two players with levels above 4000. They didn't even bother to put some anti-cheat detection for the newer consoles; this, in my opinion, would of been a prime moment to do so. Then again, I'm not a game programmer, so what do I know?

 

However, this forum needs a "What's Wrong with GTA Now" thread. It's not really a b*tch and moan, but more like: oh my gawd, since the update people are freezing for 20 seconds before they enter my helicopter! Why is my character getting stuck on objects in the environment, is this normal or should I re-install the game?

 

The yacht is not perfect, I would like for the Captain to actually take me on a voyage to Paleto Bay from, say, Vespucci Beach. It would also be nice to keep "skip trip" as an option as well. I think we need telescopes and binoculars, because when the defense system is on there's no way to see who is on the coast or even just to check out the view. Overall, I'm loving the yacht and coupled with the re-breathers I am able to explore the Pacific in style! Don't be too embarrassed or 'grown up' to role-play a little, the game is not meant to do everything for us.

honestly, I purchased a yacht and it is the biggest waste of money possible. The thing is absolutely useless, If I had the chance I would sell it.

1. Shark Cards are the only reason why we still get DLC for FREE.

2. There are game modes for the yacht. Guess you never became a VIP.

3. Loading screens can take longer even though your connection is ok but the connection of the players you're trying to connect with is sh*t.

4. You know randoms are sh*t, if you've been playing for years. Thats your fault.

5. There is a content filter to only search for rockstar created content. Activate it in the options menu.

6. I guess you're just playing with the wrong crew/people. There are enough crews that arrange meetings and heists.

7. Never seen a single modder on new gen. If you're talking about old gen, then again, your own fault. Upgrade.

8. Well, thats inconvenient.

 

I play the game almost daily and I know what I'm talking about but what I don't understand is why you post this non-sense here and then insult the people who are in this forum. I think we all get it, you're bored of GTA, here's a tip:
