GTA SA Controller Problem with Crack (to mod)

Hi,

 

I got a legit digital copy from steam and its controller support is A+, but I found out I HAD TO use a crack in order to mod it. So far so good, however, when using a crack, it messes up the whole controller set up. like everything that would be on "A" (360 pad) is on "B" and jumping on a bike would be on select and lots of other weird settings. I always found the set up within the game pretty hard to do, which is why I really don't get the set up as wanted by Rockstar (and how Id like it). So I dont know why it only happens when using a crack, but are there any fixes for that? (except trying to re-set it by myself)? Is there a file for that that I could get or something? Please let me know

 

also: is there a way to play with mods and play via steam? so my activity gets monitored (like playtime and such?)^^

Do not use the downgrader @Davve95 linked above, this is outdated and doesn't work with the newest Steam version.

 

Use this downgrader to downgrade your game so you can mod it and for full controller support use the GInput mod which gives full controller support with a load of options for stuff like IV control scheme, PlayStation button, Xbox buttons, sixaxis, etc..
