online was always gonna fail on pc

I love people who keep saying this: On PC, GTA Online is the only game (Well, aside from Minecraft's Non-Premium Italian servers and MW2, but that was kinda expected) where the situation is so terrible. Other games are perfectly playable and you almost never find a cheater in them.

These so called 'bans" aren't even bans. They're just 2 weeks slap on the wrist. Kinda like getting sent to your room with out supper, yet mom always brings you something later on. These losers will be back to their cheating ways in a few weeks time. If Rockstar really wanted to combat cheaters, they'd do a permanent lock to their account, and IP address, if possible.

GTA forum-wise, yes, probably the highlight of the year. But this isn't the first ban wave, not even this year. So... I don't know.

If they do enough bans it should frighten most ... so, while the annoying / game breaking hackers will still exist, they should be far less frequent... That said, after a time, people will start to test the waters again ... they need to be prepared with the ban hammer at any time ... hopefully its an automated process so that R* can't get bored and wander off ...

 

I am glad that I held off on EIS in 1.31 ... i was thinking I'd wait for at least 2 weeks to see what happened ... glad I waited Also, glad that it might be FAR less needed soon...

The cheaters will be back in a couple days, like always. I've already bought another key for GTA V, I'm sure the cheaters will also. Being banned permanently once every 3 + months is insignificant, especially if you can just have every thing the instant you enter the game because of the cheats. I hope Rockstar is finally doing something to fix the cheater situation but considering that i was already blown up, along with the rest of the lobby, twice in the last 3 hours... I wont hold my breath.

 

And ya, stay far away from that EIS program / mod. I did nothing more than load it up and run around with it on for 15 - 30 minutes. Two of the countless cheaters i encountered in that time had no problem spawning objects on me. One was even kind enough to test out the anti crash portion of that mod, it failed miserably. lol.

Rockstar doesn't ban every one they catch. They only ban enough to give off the illusion that they are doing something. I just checked the only " mod " website i know of and they have already worked around what got a handful of people banned.

I guess Rockstar just banned a bunch of cheaters. Hopefully they are finally going to do something about the mess that GTA O is. Then again it's highly doubtful.

I got banned for using the EISS mod that people were mentioning on these forums. It's supposed to be security against the cheaters , it's not. lol

Stay far away from it, it doesn't work anyway.

There is a mod to protect you from people that use other mods? wut? Lol

The game is awesome. There is no need to mod or cheat or hack in any way whatsoever. Anybody who can't see or understand that and decides to manipulate and break the game by hacking, modding, or cheating in any way whatsoever deserves a permanent console ban.

 

To many people (myself especially), this illegitimate player garbage is taken very, very, ridiculously, extremely seriously and offensively. I want these people banned from video gaming altogether, and that's not a joke. If they want to mod video games, they can do it in single player, alone, or in a class, or in an internship, or for a company that makes video games.

 

Stay off of my online game, or be prepared to be despised, reported, written up in support tickets, kicked, mugged, bountied, and never forgiven.

I don't know, the only thing I did was cheating money because I don't want to grind the same missions/hesits everyday, also it is full of trolls there... I prefer to enjoy the game without bothering anyone... The people who kills everyone, explodes all the car and make a mess, those kind of people deserve a perma ban.

Cheating for non offensive Reasons is still BREAKING the game. It's still messing with the game code rockstar build. It's still messing with rockstar's game models. It's still breaking the rules that you AGREED upon when you first started the game. Modders can scream cockstar as much as they want,it still doesn't make them any less irresponsible. Modders complain about being banned if they KNOW the results of their actions and still break the rules? A lack of Common sense seems to be the Reason. The only reason i have not bought the PC version yet is because of R* hard headed reasoning about mods in their game.

 

 

Don't get me wrong.. im against mods that are used as a form of cheating against other players. But alot of mods are done in a more artistic sense and those are the ones that i only care about.

 

R* should introduce modded servers for players on PC.
