New Ban wave, GTA V Online ! =)

These so called 'bans" aren't even bans. They're just 2 weeks slap on the wrist. Kinda like getting sent to your room with out supper, yet mom always brings you something later on. These losers will be back to their cheating ways in a few weeks time. If Rockstar really wanted to combat cheaters, they'd do a permanent lock to their account, and IP address, if possible.

I wish they would, that's always been something I've always complained about. You wont ever get rid of the cheaters if you keep allowing them back. I'm only banned for 10 days, it should be a permanen

 

Then we hear complains from you that it is first time and yet i got banned forever. Seriously. Btw there is permanent bans (20 years) ages ago. I know some people got them.

Now now. I did not said you complained about being banned but the length of it. So yeah there is nothing wrong with me. I am just pointing out as 1 st ban is super light but 2nd is a month then 20 years.

 

Forgive me, i misunderstood the meaning of your post. If you have looked through this thread i hope you understand why...

 

Just my opinion, It should be zero tolerance for any cheating and an automatic permanent if caught using a mod / cheat program. Make it expensive to cheat GTA V and that in and of itself will help with the problem. It would put a lot of money in Rockstars pockets also.

At least the ones who managed to stay under the radar. Rockstar simply needs to be tougher when it comes to handing out bans. Make them a 1 time temp ban and a 2nd time perma-ban.

You might not actually feel the impact of the wave in-game. Short of making the game aware that it's being tempered with and automatically flag accounts accordingly, there is no real fix to the problem.

Oh well,i got banned,guess ill refrain from that sh*t now. i guess that means the only protection agains the griefing and crashing scum i had is gone now,i suppose R* had the right to ban me,altough it's only for 10 days. not gonna cry about it,i've been console banned once (but not for something i did,i dint have mods there) so i know the drill. i hope they just get an anti-cheat.

And no i don't think it was destine to fail on PC. Every online game has cheaters but never in my life have i seen a company ignore them like Rockstar does.

I was just thinking about how loathsome and pathetic Rockstar really is. I just got banned for using a mod that was supposed to help protect me against the cheaters because Rockstar refuses to do anything about them on their own. lol

The ONLY reason this game is still functional at all are the two very secure current consoles lol. If it werent for them rockstar would have had no hope. They are useless 100% worst security of any game in worlds history. Everyone on ps3 knew pc was a waste of time but so many refused to listen.

Yes, absolutely, this is Rockstar's problem and they should deal with it, but we all know that they aren't going to stop it, because they can't. There are simple methods that could stop PC modding and hacking 100%, but they would completely cripple an already limping game.

I meant that, if you get banned for using mods to protect yourself, then you can't expect Rockstar to pardon you as that would be an excuse for others to use mods to "protect" themselves. I just wish they'd walk away from the "economy" non-sense that they've come up with. Let us "cheaters" or whatever our name is to play with our friends with mods, not this. Let us enforce our rules in an invite only session. But noooo, let us create the game and let others ruin the game and then have to be sent after this people to make whats right. My two bans were justified, I've stopped using a trainer in MP, but I'd rather still be able to use them, just without all the sh*t that force the game to what it is right now and just do a "freeroam" MP like IV"s. Or better yet, modded files lands you in a modded lobby and no modded files lands you in what we have right now? Would that be better? and run the system off of a file checker? I realize that R* can't really code that well, and that mistakes are bound to happen with this setup but you never really know.

That'd be a bad idea. R*s anti-cheat can't detect whether the mods used are malicious or not. One time I forgot that I had mods installed and almost went Online with them active (luckily I remembered the last second that I had mods installed). I clearly did not intend to enter GTA Online with mods and haven't had anything bad on my mind, so if I did end up entering Online, it'd suck to get permanently banned over such a small mistake. I am pretty sure some people genuinely did forget their game was modded and went Online, should they deserve a permanent ban? Besides, some cheaters can see what they did wrong and change after a 2-week ban. R* wants to combat cheaters but they also need to take into consideration innocent mod-users that would be affected by their small mistakes.

Great news! Unfortunately people are saying it's just temporary, but at least we can have some weeks free of those kids.
