Should Gigi D'Agostino be included on Soulwax FM?

I know requesting specific artists is a crapshoot but with the PS4/XBONE versions adding piles more tracks I have noticed that legendary artist Gigi D'Agostino was not included in any of the music on Soulwax FM.

 

Was curious if others felt this way and if we could potentially get R* to add one of his tracks such as L'Amour Toujours or if this is the musical version of fan fiction?

Gigi D'Agostino is a DJ from Italy who makes music that seems fit for Soulwax FM.

 

I really expected to hear his tracks on Soulwax when I first got this game and assumed it was only a matter of time.

Seems I'm the only one who knows Gigi D'agostino but to be fair he isn't that popular. He hasn't stayed in the spotlight, really. I think his latest album was in.......2007? 2008?

It doesn't sound like Soulwax but The RIddle would just be an amazing addition. Any other 90's DJ's would be amazing. Global DJ's, Benny Benassi, Fatboy Slim, Pete Tong. Even Deadmau5 early stuff would be great.

When R* said there would be 2nd wave punk in the game, I honestly expected my favorite band, Bad Religion, to be part of it. Bummed they weren't but Circle Jerks made it in which one of the guitarist of the band is part of so that's nice.

Lol i'm italian and obviously know Gigi D'Agostino, i also like his songs even if i'm not that much into his kind of music... but no, i don't think he would fit good in Soulwax FM. Maybe some of his songs would work fine on Non-Stop Pop FM but, talking in general, there's no reason why a particular artist should be on GTA V OST. There's plenty of very famous stuff that's not included and a whole radio station, FlyLo FM, full of unknown musicians. Channel X has not the most popular punk bands, Blue Ark misses some reggae masterpieces and so on.

 

So we can say that Gigi is not alone, and this "legit question" can be made for so many musicians that we can litteraly make the forum explode.

No. Although a good part of his songs are really cool it wouldn't fit on GTA, simply because there's not a real "disco" radio. Soulwax is something a bit more alternative than house, so absolutely not, unless R* adds a new radio (TboGT...the house radio... )

Surprised people don't know him but he only produced 2 Tracks that got big and he has been off the scene for about 7 years now I used to love his track the riddle back in 2007/2008. But if I could pick a new artist to be featured on soulwax there would be about 100 djs I would pick before him lol.

I thought Soulwax had done a remix of L'Amour Toujours but it was apparently Tiesto.

 

Not mentioning Gigi D'Agostino because he is the most popular but simply because I feel he would be a great fit (assuming the right mix was used).

I assume that Soulwax themselves chose the music for the station, and that they chose music they play in their sets, so maybe their not fans of this artist.

For me you could scratch that Soulwax radio altogether and give us some EDM, House abd Tecno from Vladvoskov FM and Vice City FM.

The stuff that is in there is wack.
