Xbox 360 is the reason why GTA V single player was "castrated"

Since Audio files take up a large amount of space on the discs, the real reason why SP was castrated was...

Non Stop Pop! No wait, Radio Los Santos! or East Los FM!

you must be young... Non-Stop Pop is actually a GREAT station, a lot of those song were the sh*t when I was a kid in the late 80's/early 90's (Music Sounds Better With You, West End Girls, Everything She Wants, Ect).... RLS on the other hand is trash dookey.... No redemption possible for that station... Now as for East Los FM it was a necessary station being in a LA setting and all, they could've just not added that one song tho lol.....

GTA V looks like a modern sitcom/cable show with that garbage "reality TV" camera angles and Michael Bay styled action. V reminds me of the show Weeds and The Office camera wise.... He'll even Brooklyn Nine-Nine.. With that said, that's pretty weak

GTA V looks like this, or Trevor-centric cutscenes look like this?

Don't generalize and sh*t on the cinematography of the whole game when only a select few missions use that camera style.

I think what looks more like a sitcom was Michael's early story scenes with his family. You know, Michae/Jimmy scenes, Amanda/Fabian, always with that classic kind of annoying music playing in the background. It looked like some retarded comedy soap. I think it was trying to show how boring and mundane the onece badass bank rober's life had become.

this answered CP1dell's statement

No. All of the game had that camera style... Even down to that wack ass Law and Order/CSI: Miami camera work during "The Wrap Up" lol.. The scene when Madrazo came to Michaels house looks very Bad Boys to me... Idk, too much Michael Bay type cinematography....

Micheal family portion had it the worst with that Reality/Modern Family camera work... Then Trevor-centric scenes were extra reality TV bear Grylls/Micheal Bay-esque shot and angles... "You'll be shot amigo!"

Franklin cutscenes were just as bad with that Tanesha scene at the house with angles very reminiscent of a RomDrama show on basic cable... The whole Franklin portion damn near looked like a semi-low budget B.E.T movie....

Name some good scenes in v that aren't reality TV-ish.... I'll wait.... Cinematic wise, this is the worst in GTA history

Eh, I'm inclined to agree. I think the cinematography in GTAV cutscenes was kinda sucky. The intro as cool enough, but I hate those "The Office" style shaky cam zoom-ins during dialogue scenes.

agreed, I'd rather a natural thing like in GTA IV and GTA SA, the same goes to the shaky camera while driving at high speed.

Dumbest reason award goes to...

How about just using a third disc?

Xbox 360 has a huge install-base, and R* HAD to make the game playable with only one disc. GTA V barely fits in the Xbox 360 DVDs. I wouldn't be surprised if Rocktargames had to cut off some content in order for the game to fit. A lot of easily implementable features are missing:

A lot of "fake content" to give the illusion of a "vast & diverse world": all of the "businesses and properties the player can own" are just normal inaccessible buildings with half-assed textures that give you access to some linear mini-games (go from point A to B to deliver the booze), this is not business management.

Th casino building is there, Bahama Mammas is there, still unusable, mere textures. What a waste.

Almost all interiors are closed, hell you can't even go inside the hospital you spawn into.

GTA V wouldn't have come to the Xbox 360 if anymore content was added. R* had to cut out all those features in order for the game to "happen" in the 360.

For the most part, I can actually support your claims.

Not everything you say I can back up, like the fact it was all down to the 360, etc. however yes. Your actually correct.

Several Logs indicate content being cut, and like you point out, GTAV was huge for the 360 in general.

The logs show how a lot was cut or reduced down etc. because the game couldnt work. They didnt mean that the game couldnt handle it, but rather the Consoles it was being played on. R*s Game Engine [RAGE] (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine) ran GTAV smoothly, and of course no issues on their end ever arrived. More so on the consoles.

Hence you may have hear about the stories on "trees being removed" which is true.

EXAMPLE:

MZixrbM.png

This is a texture in the game for a Billboard, the image itself was obviously taken during GTAV's BETA stages, and you can tell by the very poor texturing of the trees, however when we come over to GTAV (**Current Gen**) We can see, that there is NO WHERE NEAR as many trees in this area...

V1nrheq.jpg

Also as seen in the billboard, there are 2 Pink trees, one next to Franklins Vinewood Home and one further off in the distance above it, and those arent in-game either.

R* Cut a LOT of trees from the game, to free up on Model Memory etc. You can also see the same for Vespucci Beach

In one of the very first GTAV Trailers, you see that there are A LOT of palm trees down at Vespucci / Del Perro, and of course, in-game once again no where near as many trees.

Its not only trees, there are MORE things that were cut on several scales, I just dont have it all, or the time to show it to you all right now.

However like I said earlier, I dont think its right to solely blame it on the 360, never the less R* pulled off a rather great game in my opinion, even if it did have some major flaws, they got several world records for V on Last Gen, and are still making records and getting achievements/awards for their work on the Current Gen Versions of GTAV.

I only came here to clear up the facts and because some people claim he is giving false info, and is only trying to make Microsoft look bad

(For the Record im a Xbox Fan, so If im backing him up, I dont even know what will assure you lot)

Did you forget that there are two discs in the case? One of which has more content on it that requires to be installed onto the hard drive? Also it wasn't down to Microsoft at all - it was Rockstar's decision to choose what goes in the game. Just because the game didn't have a billion different features tailored for everybody doesn't make it a terrible game. You should be thankful we even got the game on last-gen considering the hoops that Rockstar had to jump through to even get the game running on that hardware.

CheckOutMyMixtape666

Considering the fact that both PS3 and XBOX 360 versions look almost exactly the same, and diskspace has nothing to do with this, your theory realy doesn't make any sense.

The Story in V wasn't "rushed" it was a good and complete Story, it had 3 endings of which one of them concluded all subplot strings and the main plot.

GTA V and its Story missions have about 36 hours playtime, while playing GTA V with the side activities, random events and some other stuff in between you get easily on the 60 hours.

The PS3 had to be scaled back to match the Xbox 360's. Stop :] so much sh*t was cut because of disk space.
