R* fun police patched MP2SP glitch

Uhhh... did they not say themselves that they won't patch harmless glitches? Or am I actually wrong to say that? Now if they did say that, then we all know that they weren't speaking out of their hearts, but their asses. Also, they would have to specify the issues that a glitch would cause in order for its removal from the game, otherwise it's just stupid and goes against everything they've said.

Rockstar has proven more than once that they will leave harmless glitches alone as long as they don't cause problems. The two gate launch glitches were left alone for quite some time until they began causing problems forcing Rockstar to step in and patch it to avoid having the problems get any worse, and they would have likely left the police station alone - as I already said I doubt that they meant to have the back door unlocked, but left it alone at the time because it was not affecting anything - but they ended up having to step in and patch it and close it because of players on PC apparently using it for a money glitch...

 

I also brought up a really, really good example of Rockstar not patching a glitch - the swingset launch glitch in GTA IV and GTA IV Multiplayer was discovered years ago, and Rockstar left it completely alone, and it is still there today.

I just think it's absolutely asinine that Rockstar would make a promise that they would refrain from touching harmless glitches, but they would patch a glitch sometime in the future without specifying a good reason for doing so. For example, addressing the issues it would have caused or did cause as a way to make us players aware and acknowledge it. To say that they can do anything they want and can go against their own promises simply because it's their game is a pure rubbish excuse.

Sorry, but that is the way it is. When you play the game you agree to the fact that it's their game, not yours, and they can do anything they want to do with it, and they do not have to give a reason for it. You can ask, and you'll probably get a generic bland reply, but they don't even have to do that.

 

Put it this way, it is so much their game and nothing at all to do with us, that they could delete your account right now and not even contact you. You could complain and they could just ignore you. That is the way it is, despite our opinions of it. You need to accept that. You thinking it's asinine is literally irrelevant to the outcome.

I know what you mean, and I understand your feelings, but that is the way it is. The game itself and the lack of customer support for the more serious issues is an insult to the community. I think there are much bigger issues than a lack of communication.
