Endjinn
I'm curious, Are the new armoured vehicles as bulletproof as the Kuruma? Have any of you used them on Heists and Missions in the same way you would a Kuruma? I'm looking to buy the Baller Armoured. Any information appreciated. Verstappen
No, the New armoured vehicles have glass which can withstand a few gunshots but then they break, so they are bullet resistant instead of bulletproof. Although just like the Kuruma it will survive one explosion. Endjinn

OOOhh, That's a deal-breaker right there! I went up against one on foot and thought it seemed fairly solid. So no way you're surviving loads of cops, Merryweather or gangsters the way you can in a Kuruma? Infact one guy had to cripple my car with a minigun before he and his friend shooting at me finally killed me. As far as a kuruma goes, I rarely have an issue shotgunning of carbine rifling a player right out of it. Only downfall of the new armoured vehicles is if you want to shoot out of it, you then have no protection from gun fire. I personally recommend getting one, I have the v12 and the bentley one. _47_ and Endjinn

What he said. 100% verifiable worth getting as an added vehicle. Endjinn
Endjinn
I love the Baller Sport anyway. I saw a guy on a heist with the armoured one, had plush red interior and good wheels, looked amazing. Just wondered if it was worth the price tag. Dragon_Of_Tragedy
The only thing the new armored vehicles offer is the ability to survive a explosion. You can easily get killed inside by a gun shot much like the kuruma.
Commander S
They're kind of like a (weaker) mid-point between the Insurgent and the Kuruma - Kuruma is virtually bulletproof, but not blast-proof, while the Insurgent can withstand multiple explosions, but has regular windows that offer no protection. Meanwhile, the new armoured vehicles can take one explosion safely, and the window glass can resist quite a few shots before shattering. I'd even go so far as to say they almost feel like an attempt to create more balanced armoured vehicles than the Heists ones - both in terms of offering all-round protection for the players inside, and for making them a not-insurmountable obstacle for anyone going up against 'em. Endjinn
I went ahead and bought one. I have the Schafter V12(unarmoured) for the speed. Took this for a jump to test it out and after a couple of rolls all the windows broke lol, however. Edited December 21, 2015 by Aliashu
Trevorov znanac
It is possible to kill players and a bullet in kurumi, Sniper from distance.
PS-GTAIVplayer
Kuruma is a mission grinder. The new cars are inferior in that regard. A person has to take massive care against shooters. I really see limited or no gains in that regard over a PV with LSC armour upgrades. Explosives are almost never fired by npc characters. In freeroam any squeaker can throw a sticky bomb or grenade or fire a missile. DentureDynamite
