Why is everyone suggesting FunMW2 has lied? What happened? Please explain why people now doubt his claims

No one is saying Fun has lied, but some people are saying that his source might have been a fraud that tricked him, some are accusing R*E of being said fraud because of the clearly faked sceenshot he showed, one so bad that he even used an other persons screenshot to make it (talk about a lazy faker, damn man, if you go that far go the extra mile and actually make your own fake crap)

 

Fun has said that this week will prove whether LC is real or fake, some are saying tomorrow is judgement day, completely ignoring the fact the work week technically lasts from Monday till Friday, now I know that Thursday and Friday are New Years Eve and New Years Day respectively, but if were going to make a big "surprise" announcement for 2016 those two would be excellent choices imho, and that's not me saying "that's when they're gonna do it", that me saying "that's when I would do it", I'm not predicting anything at all.

So you know, lets just wait and see what happens, maybe enjoy actually playing the game in the mean time and not worry so much about it?

 

 

He said nothing about R*E being his source. You made this up.

Because he's being all secretive about it. I mean sh*t maybe he's not but there's reasons why I think he is.

 

There's reasons to think why he's not, there is absolutely no proof beyond "he's not denying it", which is basically standard practice when you ask anyone who works with sources who can not be named for some reason or an other, what their source is, the answer will always be "I can't tell you", "I cannot confirm or deny that", or even the plain "no comment"

Basically I'm saying, we have nothing, not you, not me, like I said above, let's just wait and see.

Fun needs to be careful with the people he is with, first the scam thing now this?! Fun should make right choices from now on.... or he will just become a laughing stock from the community IF this continues.

Fun has told us to wait till next week and therefore we shall wait. Any images or tweets from unknown sources are most likely fake as they are trying to ruin Fun's reputation in this communtity. End of.

This forum is for discussion on various subject matters relating to GTA Online, be they fact, speculation, suggestion, appreciation, experiences, etc.

 

And when it comes to a thread about leaks, with hard to verify sources, you will have people who are legit, and people who are fake, who are trying to get their 3 days of internet fame, and as the wise man once said, if you can't be famous, you can infamous.

Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong, only time will tell.

Tho with any leaks the best course always is not to get too hyped up, prevents disappointment, heck even with legit leaks that's the case, some content in an early build might be cut because they couldn't get it to work like they wanted to.

Well Fun was skeptical about the yachts, but with this LC thing he seemed pretty sold about his claims... just some food for thought.

people getting upset and bashing Fun over some fake pics and info posted by other people should really go back and read Fun's tweets...

 

he never said "100% sure LC is coming"

 

he said "...Next week is what will decide if it's legit or fake. Can't wait."

 

any person with atleast 2 working neurons can tell that even him is uncertain, like i said 20 pages ago to me this sound like either he got info that R* is about to announce it OR an unknow source would provide irrefutable evidence that LC is coming.

In fairness, this thread has got out of hand a little bit. This thread is essentially 77 pages of people just going "yes", "no," "yes", "no".

I know it's pure speculation, but funmw2 has got a lot right, he's also got things completely wrong, a catastrophic team-up with that scamming guy damaged his reputation (and rightfully so) but he redeemed himself by doing what he did best by posting credible information.

 

I think a lot of people in this thread is missing the biggest point. There's a trailer (supposedly) and it seems as though funmw2 himself has seen it.

Now the issue is, is the trailer itself genuine? I do find it odd that Rockstar are sitting on it and it was accessible. It's not that I don't believe funmw2, but without knowing the source it's hard to fully trust something without seeing it for yourself.

 

I don't disbelieve this rumour but I don't fully believe it either. If it happens, it happens. Personally I'd love to go back to Liberty City.

Fun has notified us on every major DLC and it's contents. I honestly can't believe that people are saying he is losing his reputation over a clearly fake image that wasn't even his, it's pathetic.
