I really don't know why skeptics feel the need to come into speculation threads and sh*t on everyone's discussion. I enjoy speculation regardless of whether or not it pans out because it gives me something to potentially look forward to in this game. It's not like I'm a kid who thinks "maybe" means "definitely"; if it doesn't happen, I knew from the get-go that it was only a "maybe" and nothing more. Even fun himself said we'll find out if it's real or not - nowhere has he said "this is definitely 100% for sure going to happen."

 

You aren't accomplishing anything by starting arguments over the legitimacy of these leaks, you aren't protecting people from disappointment, you're just being obnoxious.

I will not supplement you or the rest of your group with proof for your own argument. I've stated my opinion and the only thing I've gotten against it are false narratives, hyperbole, misquotes, and terrible attempts at being funny to continue the circle jerking.

 

Until I'm shown proof that he actually leaked anything at all, rather than guessed at a ton of things, some of which stuck, or flat out showed the work of other people, I will not concede my opinion and your group is simply putting your fingers in your ears going "LALALALA" while attempting to shout me down.

Who was the only one to gain for claiming, DAYS LATER, that it was a scam and they were hacked/ impersonated?

 

He's a scammer and that scandal proved it, way too many people just blindly followed the story after fun had second thoughts about scamming people. (I would even extend this conspiracy a little further by saying nill and fun were the same person, but I don't have access to the forum logs to check IPs, etc. so I have to leave it at that, a conspiracy theory.)

Actually, he's one of the few people here thinking critically. Apparently, that's frowned upon here. We've got a couple of vague tweets (and some others that were inexplicably deleted) and an obviously doctored photo. These are completely unsubstantiated claims with absolutely nothing to back them up... But anyone who points that out is a naysayer.

I thought all the LC stuff was in reference to the t-shirt that you can get for downloading Liberty City Stories.

 

Much that I would love to see LC added to GTA V and Online, I doubt it'll happen next week like many are speculating. Something this big for GTA and no announcement from Rockstar? Nah.

1. I'm freaking sick of Liberty City. It was everything I hated about GTA IV; bland, flat, barely anywhere to go, barely anywhere to have fun, and everything was just so grey and... bleh. It all was a depressing mess to go with a depressing story and, I don't know about anyone else, but when I play a GTA game I don't want to feel depressed, I want to have fun and cause some havoc occasionally.

As I've said, can't fix ignorance. The proof is there, fun was involved in a scam didn't even know was going to happen. He took responsibility and said that he f*cked up. He has regained the trust of people, and has not asked for any form of donation. (I posted this in my crew page, but wanted to post it here as well)

 

I personally think people are reading too much into the LC thing.

In my opinion, they only released that shirt in order to get people to download LCS on their phones. That's it.

Sure, I loved the hustle and bustle of LC but it's already been done in the HD universe and I would really feel constricted in a metropolitan area. Remember how narrow the roads were? We couldn't even enjoy cars like the T20 or the Schafter V12. Even the longest straightaway was congested with traffic. It wouldn't be a fun area to drive in. I feel it would also become a snipers paradise with several buildings to hide and perch from, sniping people off one by one.

Idk why people aren't wanting the rest of San Andreas. Los Santos and Blaine County are apart of Southern San Andreas. Like much real life California (where I'm from) it's so big that it's split into Northern and Southern California.

 

Northern Cali has a totally different vibe that Southern Cali and I think Rockstar could do wonders with a Northern San Andreas.

Obviously, San Fierro would be the focal point. It would be awesome to see a HD rendition of it. I realize that SF would be metropolitan like LC, but there would be more surrounding areas we could explore that aren't the city. They're could also be counterparts of Oakland or Sacramento in the game as well. Not to mention Napa Valley, the Redwoods, or Silicone Valley too.

 

They could tie in Las Vanturas as well. Just picture having different casinos we could finally use and the wide open spaces in the desert to really have fun with off road vehicles. The glitz and grittiness of LV would really work well with GTA Online.

I also don't get why people think they can just add land mass to what we have already. That's just silly in my opinion. You can't just add a piece of land and call it good. It would have to be an area we fly from the airport or now that we have yachts, sail to.

As much as I love LC, I'd rather see us expand to Northern San Andreas.

1. Parsing the code to find something. Thank you for proving my point. That's not leaking, that's finding information in a file and applying it as if it's something coming in the future. We also never got a contact named anything like that. We got new contacts, but it's reaching to say that it is applicable. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the new contacts are also called something entirely different even in the code, so even in the context of using the word "leak" to mean what you think it means; still meant nothing.

 

2. Proving even more EXACTLY what I'm saying, showing the work of others unpacking the code of updates. How does that, at all go against what I'm saying.

 

3. Another final proof of my point, not leaking anything, just showing information people found in the code of updates. GUESSING that it's for future DLC.

 

I just want to ask a question.

Are you saying that if an update like Liberty City comes out, but instead of information about it being leaked next week it doesn't leak until two months from now. Are you saying that he (Fun) is still a fraud because the time table is not exact?

I just do not think that's a good enough reason to write somebody off. I think this is a huge leak. And whether that leak came out one week from now or two months from now, or hell six months from now...I'm not going to believe a person that provided that information is a fraud.

Absolutely. If you claim that at this specific time or window of time something is coming out and it doesn't... You were wrong. If you make this claim and present it as a fact, while showing additional "proof" behind it and it still comes out wrong? You are a fraud.

Some of you guys and gals need to learn that discussion isn't a one way street and sometimes people have other opinions that are different than yours.

 

I am not shouting at anyone, not insulting anyone, and certainly not trying to rain on anyone's parade. But when I see a thread appear that slowly inches more and more toward inflating a false idea, I am absolutely going to disagree with it and articulate my reasons as to why I disagree. Can we just look at what happened just this week with the Tampa? Everyone circle jerked around the "fact" that the Tampa would be released with the Festive Surprise update.

 

It didn't, everyone yelled down Rockstar for not releasing it. Same as before that with Bahama Mommas. Same as before that with the issue before it

I personally think it has to relate to the LC mobile game, and I'm not sure if it's an actual expansion. If it is, I'm hyped. Just imagine the heists that could take place in LC?

 

Isn't there a museum that you can enter in GTA IV? That would be perfect for a heist, and won't ruin the continuity of GTA IV, because it's after the storyline. Maybe, have some side characters for the heists?

its quite clear everyone has different options and facts to back up their claims which everyone is entitled to .but as of now there is nothing we can do to prove or deny the DLC except wait until Next week. I believe its coming, (Next week sounds too early IMO) but Fun himself implied he wasn't sure.
I would love to see this thread in a week from now.
