As far as a city goes, LC sh*ts a thousand sh*ts on LS.

 

Agree and disagree. I can't wait to see LC again, but I also did not play San Andreas. Los Santos is brand new for me and quite an environment.

 

GTA V is also home to perhaps video game's most impressive easter egg. Incredible underwater environments, murder mysteries both unsolvable and those that do have interaction.. etc etc. One of the greatest open worlds crafted yet, and I'm having a hard time thinking of one better.

I hate how two and a half years after GTA V we're only (and still) talking about a probably nonexistent story DLC for it. In contrast to Rockstar last-gen, half of us would move on to Red Dead or something two years after GTA IV's release.

 

If this LC rumor turns out to be fake I'm not gonna persist in any more stupid speculation for this dragged on game.

The "Gary Foreman" Facebook account linked in this thread is a very old dedicated troll. If you search the archives of this forum, you'll find that he's been trolling in the past. Back around 2011 this person added various actual Rockstar employees on Facebook. Given his friend's list back then, it seemed pretty real and is when and where it gained traction. It died off a few years ago but seems like it resurfaces every now and then.

 

It is NOT the Gary Foreman that formerly worked at Rockstar.

Incredible underwater environments? Wouldn't say so. There's hardly anything to explore there. Couple plane wrecks and tedious nuclear waste barrels to collect. It was a waste of resources in my opinion.

 

As for Easter eggs go, both cities are probably equal per square mile.

That is the nature of the real ocean as well. Similar to space, it's largely empty. There aren't just sharks and treasure and caves everywhere. If you can't look around and just enjoy the scenery that's a matter of taste I suppose.

 

And I said 'easter egg' singular. The Mt. Chiliad mystery is without a doubt bigger than anything I've personally played or ran into, or even heard about. I've heard of some epic far-reaching easter eggs, but Chiliad literally towers over them all - once every thing it is reasonably connected to is taken into account.

BS. The Mt. Chilad mural thing wasn't even an Easter Egg in its own right. There was no secret to solve. It was just a mural painted on a concrete wall. All it did was open a door for a bunch of delusional conspiracy theorists to try and somehow find a jet pack for over two years.

 

It's an iconic meta reference for the game, but not a true Easter Egg, since there's, well, nothing to solve or see.

I've said it before, and it's worth mentioning again. I personally do not expect any announcement this week, or even the rest of the month.

 

However, and no matter how hard the haters try to deny it, the core of GTA: Online is about expansion - about growing the game into world rather than a single city. The IP is Grand Theft Auto: Online, not GTA V: With Some Online Thone N Dere 4 Yallz.

 

Those that vehemently disagree are illiterate, do not read news or apply common sense to trends in open world gaming, or a shill or a troll. Or all.

 

Cities and new areas are coming, even coming in 2016, whether we like it or not.

Oh, I know cities will come but I expect it later than sooner. I love to travel to different cities online since GTA Online still is fun and I love to play in LC or LV. But when people usually hype stuff if often leads to disappointments which leads to x amount of assholes cussing out R*.

Sorry about this again but, in that thread you said he was banned last year and he added rockstar people to make it seem more believable you could have been referring to Gary Forman because you said the same about him too.

 

Im not going to get into much detail mate, I stand by my word. we will have to wait and see and because i dont want to start arguing.

Haha yeah, 'leakers' literally ALWAYS do this - Fun is no exception. They give an approximate timeframe that they'll either leak more info, or itll be released officially, then when the timeframe is actually present they simply go silent.
