can we speculate what is the reason why Rockstar would chose to continue the storyline in Liberty instead of just expand with Los Santos

 

seems kind of backwardish in a little away

 

i assume LC in GTA V would have less detail than LS and probably less diversity and again a smaller map

I think it's most likely that R* would release the trailer on New Year's Eve. How crazy would it be if they announced the DLC for January release? It sounds like Lowriders 2 is planned for February with a possibility of VD Massacre tied to it. So that would leave January empty which I would neither mind nor be surprised by if they were still dragging LG along for the ride. Maybe they split Lowriders into two updates so that the second addition could have Lamar expanding his empire into LC with new missions and custom shop location.

Not to mention Rockstar themselves leaked it in 2012, there was an accidental update to Social Club for Max Payne 3 that included GTA V on PC.

R* want to sell one big DLC pack and surprise us. How? Let's add LC to GTAV - it's a crazy idea if you think about it. Just remember Undead Nightmare for RDR - so here something similar. I mean, the IDEA.

And LC is easy to transfer because of game engine.

I'm not CEO of Rockstar so i cant guarantee its Thursday. There are a lot of things making me lean towards Thursday.

 

also since snow is returning around New Years time, they will have to update us the snow is back some how.

It's gonna be a sneak peak of LC dlc with some screens and few detailes, that's all.
