Quick Money as VIP with a Friend

Ender_the_Great

Alright guys. I was doing this the other night and made about 250 to 350,000 in about 3 hours as VIP.

We all have friends who are loaded with modded money, but I personally don't believe in modding for money or hacking for GTA$$ anymore, so Im broke lol.

Make sure you do this with a friend a crew member who doesnt care about money, find a lobby with only a few to no people in it, then become a VIP, hire your buddy as a body guard and commence doing VIP work and challenges.

When each job is complete have your buddy share cash from last job. On some jobs I made 25k and when he shared his cash it bumped it up to 50k I was putting in the bank for 8 minutes of work. And you can almost immediately start on the next job without any load screens because its all in free mode.

Like I said, easy legitimate money for those of you who have the right friends.

Enjoy!

Which is a great option if you have a reliable group to work with. Otherwise heists are frustratingly time consuming and difficult to organize. This only requires a friend or more and takes place right in free mode! Way easy, very streamlined. Key to my post being "quick, easy" money

I must agree with Ender_the_Great, my friends are not heist daft these days after the big event earlier in 2015 (2x RP/$$$) so this is a good

way for me to make money right now.

Become a VIP and go into an invite-only session. Play a VIP mission called Sightseer for easy money.

Also, when you're a VIP, your blip doesn't give away what vehicle you're in. So I like to get in my tank and blast 'em!

Sightseer is definitely good, easy money, but I was only able to do it twice before I got hit with a 10 minute cooldown, so it's not the best for grinding.

Also, I second the notion that heists are only good money/RP if you have a good, reliable group of players to run them with. If you don't, you'll spend the vast majority of your time staring at the lobby screen while you wait for random people to join. On the very rare occasions you do get a full group, you've only got about a 20% chance of successfully completing the heist/setup with your pickup group on the first try.

I think one should avoid invite-only sessions because it prevents one from doing piracy prevention and executive search which both net lots of GTA cash. Stick to lobbies with at least one other player or a handful of players. If you can't find that kind of lobby switch your targeting mode to free-aim lol.

Or guarantee those lobby numbers by playing on Xbox one 👍

Piracy prevention and Executive Search cost ammo - to those (me!) who want cash we want it without expenditure, Sightseer provides exactly that,

free Buzzard, collect package = profit.

Invite Only Session with or without friends (Bodyguards get more money from the $5k wage and more RP if they fly the VIP around or be near them, less individual pickup cash for TLSC though):

-Sightseer [$21-$24k, 5min to do]

-5 min cooldown [fly toward LSIA]

-Hostile Takeover (LSIA) [$15-$18k, 3 min to do]

-2 min cooldown remaining on Sightseer

-Sightseer [$21-$24k, 5 min to do]

-Immediately fly and land back in LS and launch TLSC

-The Los Santos Connection (use an Armored Kuruma to speed it up) [$8k in pickup cash, $18-$22k, 14 min to do]

-Repeat

Roughly 39 minute cycles overall when I time myself solo. Mostly because of having to pickup a helicopter when you spawn back in from TLSC at Madrazo's (if you do it as a group then when flying to Madrazo's one person can jump out at the helipad area by the beach, this way they spawn in next to a helicopter and can save a minute or two of time for completing Sightseer and starting the cooldowns). Averages out to about $90k each cycle plus VIP time doesn't countdown while in TLSC. If you don't have an Armored Kuruma (like if leveling a 2nd character) then I recommend doing A Titan of a Job instead just because its much quicker than a solo Kurumaless TLSC. If you finish AToaJ quick enough Hostile Takeover could still be on cooldown after you launch Sightseer again, if this occurs, you will have no wait to launch HT after doing Sightseer but it doesn't save time overall because in both cases Sightseer still has a 10 min cooldown once completed. Also if you do this with friends, the VIP should both be the host of the Invite Only session and should be the one that launches the Contact Mission and invites the Bodyguards, when done choose free roam instead of backing out. This will keep the Organization together and put everyone back into invite only free roam which makes transitions smooth.

I do this basically once in a while. It's great RP and GTA$ but at the same time incredibly boring hence why I do it rarely. I refuse to pug heists because I get bad enough groups already when doing Contact Missions so I'd rather not go any balder by just grinding this out instead. I'd rather just play Contact Missions for money but I get super bored of doing the same Contact Missions over and over. I hope they release more eventually in addition to their love of adversarial modes.

Hostile Takeover for the Altruist Camp is really, really easy with a Buzzard or Hydra. Kill everything at the camp with the aircraft, then land and get the package. You won't get a wanted level until you actually pick up the package, and it takes the cops so long to get up the mountain you can easily escape to the air before they arrive. Fly to wherever the drop off point appears; you can usually lose the cops along the way so you are clear when you land.

For a slower but more fun way, get in an Insurgent and drive down the mountain at full speed with the cops in pursuit.

A friend and I have been doing invite only vip work and have been making decent money. We just do sightseer and the wanted challenge. We found a spot where we can just chill out during the wanted challenge and make$.

I must admit that being a VIP (and hard-core Buzzard fan) just for the free Buzzard spawn is super nice (esp. as it spawns so closeby--even under bridges lol--thanks R*). So even if I'm not doing any VIP work, just being one sometimes has distinct advantages for whatever else I'm doing in free roam. Of course, I'm then also more of a target; hence the trade-off.

I've noticed though that as a VIP, Pegasus is completely disabled...the phone just keeps ringing when you call (at least if you've spawned a VIP vehicle)...so if you feel the need for a Savage or Insurgent Pick-up, etc. (or something other than what R* "decrees you shall have"), it's not a good choice...

IMO the Sightseer job is good practice for improving general chopper flight skills.

Also, when you're a VIP, your blip doesn't give away what vehicle you're in. So I like to get in my tank and blast 'em!

It is handy--similar to how having a bounty on your gluteus maximus doesn't give away your vertical position -or- your vehicle...

After all, there's only so much info R* can cram into an icon. lol

As an aside: I can't help but wonder if the Armored Trucks won't (one of these days) show up as a "new" VIP Work task...same with the Smuggler planes/choppers, etc. That might explain why they disappeared--only to be reincarnated as VIP Work?

Finally somebody gives me a logical answer as to why the old random events are not there just now.

^^ I hope it's a logical answer... :) remember we are talking about R* here ("Worst of R* Logic" thread anyone?) lol; but in my mind, it's the only plausible answer I have that might explain it.

My guess is that R* sees the VIP system as the umbrella structure for event/work "plugins" to the game as a whole. Some of those could be random (crate drops), some are things you initiate (Sightseer, etc.).

Hopefully R* knows only too well how popular those "old" events were--and still are--to the GTAO community. They weren't just a good fit--they were also a whole lot of fun!

Like many people have already stated, I think random events (regardless of how big or small they are) would add a great deal to GTAO. There's nothing like spontaneity and surprises to inject life back into the game.

Speaking of surprises; anyone else notice that Ft. Zancudo suddenly/apparently has a new restricted area outside its walls? In trying to complete an objective last night, I failed at jumping the fence (usual ramp in), and in driving back down to try again, suddenly had a military guard shooting at me, saying I was in a "restricted area"--and I never even got close to getting in the base. This never happened to me before..!

I don't know if this was mentioned anywhere before, but I tried this method last night just to see how it works - I had never done VIP jobs before. I started an invite-only session by myself and completed the sightseer mission. I made $24k and then went for the artificial scarcity mission. Then went back to completing sightseer and this time I received $23.5k. I did not have time to complete other missions as I had to leave (real life still beats gaming) but before I continue this cycle and make $500 less per sightseer mission, I was wondering whether the payout is reduced each time? As others have seem to continued this cycle several times, I was wondering what your experiences are before I lose more money on that job?

Cheers

It depends on the length of time I believe, I have not been able to test but I think if you pick up the packages quick it

will give less money but if you take longer it pays more.

Will report on this again soon.

In Invite Only and Solo, I'm doing Sightseer ($22-$23k, 5-7 minutes) and following it up by playing Crystal Clearout III (x1) playlist twice ($20,400). Takes a little less than 10 minutes, leaves perfect time to drive to McKenzie Airfield to grab your Buzzard and start Sightseer again.

CCO III spawns you near the Sandy Shores airport and you finish near McKenzie Airfield (or back near Sandy Shores if you do the closest pack of enemies last), so it's a quick call and drive to get your Buzzard back for Sightseer again. You have to do some waiting to hit the 4-minute mark to max out your $/minute in the mission, which can get tiresome.

Sell Sentinel XS ($15k/$17.4k, 2 mins)
Fleeca Job ($73.5k, 25 mins)
Drive to chopper (-$0.2k, 1 min)
Sightseer ($23k, 6 mins)
CCO III ($10k, 5 mins)
Drive to McKenzie Airfield (-$0.2k, 1 min)
Sightseer ($23k, 6 mins)
CCO III ($10k, 5 mins)
Repeat ($10.2k, 5 mins)
Drive to McKenzie Airfield (-$0.2k, 1 min)
Sightseer ($23k, 6 mins)
CCO III ($10k, 5 mins)
Repeat ($10.2k, 5 mins)
Drive to McKenzie Airfield (-$0.2k, 1 min)
Sightseer ($23k, 6 mins)

Total cycle: Approx. $231.3k, 80 minutes. ~$2900/minute

Edit: Derp, after reading the posts above, I didn't realize VIPs could spawn the Buzzard anywhere for free :facedesk:

Most efficient way would probably be:

Sell car (~$16.2k)

Fleeca ($73.5k)

Sightseer ($23k)

Trash Talk ($11.4k)

Sightseer ($23k)

Trash Talk ($11.4k)

Random 4-minute mission (~$9.5k)

Sightseer ($23k)

Trash Talk ($11.4k)

Random 4-minute mission (~$9.5k)

Sightseer ($23k)

$235k in about 78 minutes (~$3000/minute)

It's $20000 + $500/minute

I know I usually do it in 4-7 minutes and that seems to be the scale.

Use the 15-minute timer as your guide.

10:00-10:59 remaining = $22000

9:00-9:59 remaining = $22500

8:00-8:59 remaining = $23000

7:00-7:59 remaining = $23500

Haven't taken longer than that to complete the job.

Definitely beneficial to do it as quickly as possible unless you're a few seconds away from the extra $500.

Edit: Just waited a bit longer to 4:59 remaining (10 minutes) and got $25000. Looks like that formula still works with longer times.

My question, is why do people even bother trying to stop you when you doing V.I.P.? They get next to nothing for it, so they're pretty much just wasting their time. Don't even get me start on how dumb some Bodyguards/V.I.P. can be.

End cash: $1,340,852

My gut feeling is that it's a way for R* to at least turn the free-for-all griefing and non-stop PvP already happening into something "official" game-wise.

Sure they will. How many friends do you have that have modded money? THOSE are the friends you want to do VIP stuff with, just ask if they'll hook you up with the cash. It's worked for me nicely.

I virtually always try help new players or lower level players in my crew , will do couple of hours worth of VIP missions and I'll give them my share to , I don't need it ,

You can pick up the package while in a vehicle. With a Kuruma, this is absolute routine.

Thanks for the clarification! I checked it out and indeed it was the timer.

On another note: Is it also useful to do the Executive Search VIP missions solo? Before I waste valuable VIP time I thought i'd check with you guys first :D

It is amazing how much difference the VIP missions do in terms of earning money. As I don't care for the RP anymore, that's all I'm focusing on now. I'm not as efficient as you guys are, but making $360k in one ~2.5hr evening session of playing is awesome. Grinding becomes much easier this way, but it does have a downside. I have only been playing on invite-only and VIP missions and I am starting to miss having other players around. It does get rather lonely on solo in invite-only...

Thank you for the breakdown of the timer.

Shall keep this in mind when I next do a run of VIP search/missions as returning to start building my cash again Monday next week,
